Our vacation home, called 'The Aurora', is located in Sunset Lakes, the closest gated community to Walt Disney World, just 3 miles from the park. It is an approximately 1750 square foot, centrally air conditioned ranch-style home with attractively decorated, comfortable living space and all the amenities to make you feel at home in a quiet, private neighborhood.
We provide free, unlimited local and long-distance calling in the continental U.S. and Canada. We also provide a secure wireless network.
Sunset Lakes is a family-oriented community with two lakes, a community pool and playground for the kids. The well-planned neighboorhood makes evening strolls a delight. However, it is also conveniently located just one mile from Route 192 where you will find restaurants such as Red Lobster,Outback,and Cracker Barrel as well as fast food shops such as McDonald's & Taco Bell. A shopping center with a grocery store is also located one mile away. Numerous golf courses catering to all skill levels are a short distance away. Since Sunset Lakes is located in Central Florida, the beaches on both coasts are within an easy drive.
The best part though is the short 5 minute drive to Walt Disney World, where you will find the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT,the Animal Kingdom and the Disney Hollywood Studios, two water parks, golf courses,a sports complex, miniature golf and enough magic to make your Florida holiday perfect.
We have a well-maintained, newly tiled, kitchen with everything you need to prepare and serve your meals at home. Our dining room seats 6, with an additional 3 barstools at the kitchen bar. The kitchen has a refrigerator with ice-maker, over-the-range microwave oven, electric stove, dishwasher, and small appliances including coffee maker, waffle maker, toaster, blender, crockpot and electric can opener. Pots, pans, skillets and all cooking utensils provided with the home make preparing your morning breakfast or evening supper a breeze. We have dining service for 12, including wine and champagne glasses.
We have a leather sofa and love seat and side chair, brand new flat screen, 32" HD-TV, DVD player, and stereo/CD player in the living room. Sliding doors in the dining room and triple sliders in the living room all open out onto the pool deck, allowing you to bring the outside in while enjoying the in-ground, southern exposure pool and spa.
The master suite includes a king-size bed with new bedding, sliders to the pool, TV with built-in DVD and a cordless phone. The en-suite master bath has a large Roman tub with a separate shower, a double sink vanity and large walk-in closet.
The second Master bedroom also has a king-size bed with new bedding, flat screen HD-TV and DVD player and private bath with tub and shower.
Two other bedrooms, with two twin beds each, will please the children. The first is decorated with a Disney’s Cars movie theme, and the second is decorated with Ariel and the Disney Princesses. Each room has it’s own TV and VCR, and private access to the third, Jack & Jill bathroom.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer, ironing board and iron, hair dryers, vacuum cleaner, portable crib, high chair and two-car garage with coded automatic garage door opener. We have a small library of DVDs and videos in the home as well.
The screened-in, southern exposure pool can be heated in the winter and includes a spa and an outdoor shower. Lounge chairs and a dining table and chairs are also located on the pool deck for enjoyable al fresco evening dinners.

Why the Owner Chose Sunset Lakes
We live in Connecticut but have always thought about having a vacation home in Florida. Fran has been visiting WDW since 1973 and we've been annual passholders for several years. So, buying this house made a lot of sense to us. We bought our house because we loved the Sunset Lakes community and the fact that our house is located in a very quiet section of the community. There is a county greenway behind us, and only one other house next door to us, making our house, and our pool, very private.
Our house is an easy 30 minute ride from the Orlando International Airport too.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We love how close we are to all of the attractions, but at the same time far enough away to be away from the noise and traffic of the main roads. Tom is an avid golfer and there are so many golf courses to choose from, he hasn't been able to play all of them yet!
There is also a tremendous selection of great restaurants and shopping areas close by too. Just about anything you could want is nearby.
But the best part for me is the 5 minute drive to Walt Disney World.
