On the western bay of Eagle Lake, this cabin is right on one of the best lakefront locations on the entire chain, sheltered from the prevailing western wind and removed from the mid-lake boat traffic. Only a stone throw's distance of flat and open ground separates you from the water's edge. And, if you'd rather head into the woods than down to the lake, there are dozens of acres to explore behind the cabin, including a sand dune/hill that young children will love to play on. The grounds have activites for all ages, including old-fashioned horseshoes, sandbox with toys, sandy beach, a paved loop for biking/skating, and a firepit.
This cabin also puts the great fishing of the Eagle River chain right outside the living room. You can take your own boat out right from the dock, use the provided rowboat, or fish directly from the pier. It's a great setup for serious fishermen or young kids just wanting to give it a try. Pull out the heavy gear and go after musky and pike, or give your kids a bin of worms and set them loose on the shoreline fish; they could pull in dozens of perch, bluegill, and smallmouth. And when you're finished, you can head back to the detached, enclosed fish-house and prepare to enjoy the spoils.
The cabin is just a few minutes from the town of Eagle River, and has a number of nearby options for boat launching or rental.
