Behind the kitchen is a small, open room with a queen bed. It’s the perfect place to curl up for an afternoon siesta, watch a video or invite a friend to spend the night.
Climb the indoor staircase with its inset lighting to the gorgeous, spacious and very sexy master bedroom under the palapa roof. Slide open the 4 large glass doors to your private balcony fronting the sea. Let the sounds of the ocean and the rustle of the palms sooth you to sleep.
Excellent cross ventilation and ceiling fans make this house easy to live in, even in the hottest weather. Tasteful, decorative lighting creates warm intimate spaces throughout the house. A private pathway thru the greenery leads to your own palapa beach umbrella just 30’ in front of the Casita. The house has 24 hour electricity and wifi.

My boyfriend and I came to the casita in August of 2012, and I really can't imagine a better place we could have stayed. It's more beautiful than the pictures, if that is possible. The house opens up to the beach and there is an amazing breeze that just takes over the whole house. We were in perfect walking distance to most things that we needed. The house is across the street from our favorite restaurant, Hartwood, simply amazing food and atmosphere. I can't recommend Tulum more, I know we will be back. It was everything I could have ever wanted in a beach house, and I can promise we will never stay anywhere else while we are in Tulum. Thank you Bob and Bonnie! (and Maria?!) Looking at these pictures again, I wish I were still there! Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The location is perfect - right on the beach, at the quieter end of the road, but within easy reach of everything you want. The house is nicely appointed, and designed perfectly to capture the breezes coming off the ocean. Maria, the property manager, was wonderfully attentive, and the house- and groundskeepers were quick to respond to everything we needed, including delivering us a bed for our son to use, and babyproofing gates for our toddler. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Bob and Bonnie live in the majestic mountains of beautiful British Columbia Canada and on the gorgeous beach of fun and funky Tulum, Mexico.
Why the Owner Chose Tulum:
We bought this property as raw land in 2002. We built our first dream home - Casa de Las Palmas in 2008. In 2011 we built a 2nd smaller home, perfect for two. For the first 7 years we lived very close to the land in big tents and a small kitchen trailer, sharing paradise with our family and friends. Our guests feel our deep love, respect and connection to our land the moment they leave their cars and walk down the beautiful sand pathways thru our small palm forest on the way to their home. We enjoyed designing and building our two homes. We took advantage of the ability to "bend" cement and thus created two unique homes with many curvaceous, sensuous lines. They give the homes a modern, clean, and sensuous feel.
