The One-Bedroom Casita at Cottage Court is a Gorgeous, Spacious Free-Standing Cottage in a Lovely Cottage Courtyard, just a short distance from the U Of A, UMC, 4th Ave, Reid Park, Downtown and to all that Central Tucson has to offer! ( We wanted to somehow alert folks to the fact that Cottage Court is in the greater university area, so we chose the 'West University' designation for our listing. But Cottage Court is actually two miles to the east of the university.)
This Light and Spacious , 600 sq.ft., 1940's Cottage, though beautifully updated, still has all of it's original historic Southwest Charm!: Polished Concrete Floors! Saltillo-like tile flooring in the kitchen and bath! Lots of charming built-in cabinets in the living room, kitchen and bedroom, including a corner bookcase w/ a fold-down desk! And lots of charming windows, making the cottage feel light and spacious!
The Living Room features a TV w/extensive Cable service (including all the HBO & Showtime affiliates!), a DVD player ( w/amazing Casa Video just a mile away, one of those wonderful University area video/DVD stores, with an exhaustive archive of movies!).
The Cottage also features Wifi, ( and w/ethernet connection for anyone preferring to plug in!).
The Kitchen, with Saltillo-like tile flooring, has a very charming, colorful Mexican table and chairs, lots of Cabinets, Full Fridge and Gas Stove!
The Bedroom, with a built-in vanity table, also has lots of built-in cabinet/closets, a 'king-size' or two twin bed option, and a beautiful Full Bathroom, with Pedestal Sink and Charming Bath/Shower!
For the colder months, the Cottage features central fan-forced heating. For the warmer months, there is the option of Central Evaporative Cooling and/or Window A/C units!
The private carport can also - with some views of the Catalina Mountains - serve as a covered patio!
There is also an Umbrella-covered table and chairs in the Lovely Cottage Courtyard, just outside the front door of the cottage!
Cottage Court is a lovely, tree-lined court of eight units - all with nice, quiet residents! -and with a coin-operated laundry room, just for the residents and guests of Cottage Court! Bellevue is a residential street, just a block from Speedway Blvd, which has excellent bus service to the U Of A, Downtown and to other central areas.
Cottage Court is a 1/2 mile to a Whole Foods Market, about a mile to a Sunflower Market and to a Fry's, about a mile to Reid Park, Tucson's largest park ( which features a public golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool facility, a zoo, and lots of tree-lined paths for walks, biking,etc!).
The U of A is about 2 miles away, UMC is 2 1/2 miles away, 4th Avenue is about 3 miles, and Downtown is about 4 miles. All of the culture of central Tucson ( the wonderful restaurants and unique shops and museums, theatre,etc. are all nearby! And the mountains and desert ( and all they have to offer ) are not more than 30-45 minutes away!

My husband and I found this house the best we've stayed in so far in Tucson. It's centrally located, in a quiet and pleasant neighborhood, easy to get to and pretty to look at. Our hosts greeted us on arrival, gave us several phone numbers to contact them if we had any needs, and followed up discretely a few times during our 10-day stay. All of the amenities were well-stocked, and our hosts encouraged us to ask for anything we needed. We particularly liked the spacious king-size bed. The bathroom was also pleasant and the shower water pressure just right (a particular sore spot for me!) We hope we can be hosted by Gary and Carole again soon. I would recommend this place for any of my friends or family! By the way, this house is within easy walking distance of Feast, one of the finest restaurants in Tucson.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

We spent two nights here and it was just wonderful. We were close to everything and it was so easy to find from Speedway. We were impressed with the all the nice details/amenities like the blow dryer and iron! Some VRBOs that we have stayed at did not provide these things. We met Carole the day we left and she was wonderful, Gary is great as well and very helpful. We are going to stay again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

What a lovely place to stay! We spent a week here while visiting family and just loved it. The cottage is bright and clean with all the amenities a traveler might need. The kitchen is well-equipped and spacious. The place just feels like Tucson with the terracotta floors and light colors. It is close to just about everything. Furthermore, the graciousness of the owners, Gary and Carole, is reason enough to stay here. They are welcoming and ready to help with anything one might need. I don't often write recommendations but I couldn't resist raving about this place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We spent the entire week at this centrally located bungalow and returned each night for dinner nearby and to a restful quiet sleep. A quick breakfast in the generously utensil furnished kitchen and we were off a different direction. The owners were there for us when we needed and left us alone when all was well. All was. A delightful older style house that shares no noisy thin hotel walls.I have already reccommended this clean bargain to my family.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We had planned a birdwatching trip to the Tucson area and this casita was perfect as our 'home base'. It is located in a quite residential area but close to grocery stores and numerous restaurants. The owners have retained the casita's 1950's style and have supplied all the amenities you will need for your stay. The owners are 'super' hosts and great to work with.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This charming little house is comfortable, well-maintained, and centrally located, making it an ideal "home-base" for a stay in Tucson of whatever length. The house is near a variety of grocery stores (Whole Foods, Fry's, Sunflower), as well as several other amenities. There is a laundry facility on-site. The owners are friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. I recommend this delightful cottage without hesitation.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

This casita is really a gem. I enjoyed an extended stay, and loved the natural light inside, the courtyard to hang out on warm summer evenings, and its accessibility to everything Tucson. Bring bikes and leave your car in the carport! The cottage is easy to cool in the summer, and the owners are fabulous Tucsonans: really kind, down-to-earth people.
