THE VILLA :
A privately owned villa in the Chianti hills sleeping a maximum of 10 people, with lovely well stocked gardens and a private swimming pool with Italianate gardens overlooking the rolling Chianti country side and lovely views.
Only 12 klms from the beautiful medieval city of Siena and 1.5 klms from the local village of Pianella.
A fabulous summer room called the 'Limonaia' has an amazing large travertine table seating 10 guests , a barbecue for the boys to cook, and a comfortable and welcoming summer sitting room which also has a soft games room with ceiling fan. This is where guests will be happy to relax, read and use everyday.
Balconies provide spectacular views of the Chianti and are perfect for evening drinks and watching the famous sunsets.
All bedrooms have airconditioning and have en suite bathrooms in travertine.
There is one bathroom which has a bath with an amazing view and you just lie and stare at the scene.
A large, fully eqiuipped kitchen with a pantry has all necessary needs catered for with every things supplied from cutlery, crockery, glassware to toasters.
A wine rack is left on an honesty basis so guests can taste the estate wines and these are paid for at the end of the stay.
There is a kingsize bed master suite with dressingroom and ensuite bathroom in travertine with rolltop bath.
The 2nd king bedroom suite with en suite shower.
The 2 further bedrooms with twins, one is always made as a king bed but on request as twins.
THE POOL COTTAGE:, is a mini apartment and houses the 5th King size bed bedroom, which is quite private with a large private terrace overlooking the valley and by the pool.
Electricity, water, gas, all white cotton linens and towels, and pool towels are included in the price.
Gas for central heating is metered as is airconditioning
WiFi is included.
ARRIVALS are from 4-7PM only
DEPARTURES by 10AM
A welcoming and relaxing villa for special occasions, family holidays or for family get togethers.
An arrival meal is arranged by the owner for arrival evening and consists cold cuts ,cheeses, salads, fresh bread, fruit and wine and water.
A hamper can be bought on request for a small fee.
Maid service is 3 hours daily Monday - Saturday.
Cook service on request.
Sunday is a non working day and the office is also closed.
Valeria in the office will welcome you at reception on arrival and show you the ropes.
Terms & conditions are sent on confirmation and are standard

We had the pleasure of spending a week at Villa Arbia (group of 8) and found our own little piece of heaven in Italy. On arrival we were astounded at the beauty of the property with Cyprus trees, grapes & figs ripe for the picking. We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the property Roz Conci and provided a tour of the Villa. The grounds are meticulously kept and once Roz opened up the Limonaia Room and Villa we knew we were in for a very special week. The Villa has been beautifully restored and we found the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless, beds comfortable and we had an ample supply of linens. The kitchen was well stocked for our purposes and Estate wines were plentiful! We had the privilege of having a wonderful cook, Carla, prepare dinner for us two of the evenings during our stay. The meal was simply spectacular and prepared with fresh local ingredients. The location particularly suited us as we were able to walk to the quaint town of Pianella for some fresh produce, drinks or gelato; enjoy quiet time by the pool; or tour the wonderful small towns that were minutes away by car. Of course, Siena is also a short distance where it was convenient to catch a train to visit Florence, Pisa, and many other wonderful places for the day. We must also mention what a wonderful help Valeria was with giving tips for areas of interest, directions & tour suggestions….thank you for your help Valeria! We would like to keep Villa Arbia our own little secret…but of the time we spent touring Italy, Argiano in Chianti was a highlight and we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you Roz & Bruno for sharing your property with us (and for making our special occasion a memorable one)! We hope to make it back again one day soon!!Recommended for: Girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: I am an Italian business man with an English wife, Roz. I enjoy making wine, eating Tuscan food, and living in the Chianti region of Siena. We like to travel and we have a home in London where our sons live and work..
Why the Owner Chose Castelnuovo Berardenga:
We bought Argiano in 1988 and did not have the intention to make some of the buildings on the estate into holiday rentals but decided it is so great to be able to share Argiano with guests, now from all over the world.
Some guests return year after year, and who have become good friends.
I have always wished to live in this part of Italy, we are only 12 klms from the beautiful city of Siena and with Florence only 40 minutes away.
