Step Back In Time provides the perfect location for spending time together with your family or friends. Because you will be staying in a residential beachfront neighborhood zoned for single family homes, we do not rent our home as a wedding, party or 'event' destination.
As soon as you enter the cottage, the ocean beckons you to “come and see”. Then as you explore the house and view the fantastic local shell collection you will begin making your own special memories of glorious, lazy days at the beach.
You will find nothing but the soft white sands and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico outside your front door. Private steps down to the beach make it fun to come and go from the beach as often as you wish. A hose spigot halfway up the steps, and private showers with hot water outside each bathroom, keep most sand where it belongs—outside your home. The breathtaking beauty of the beach from early morning to spectacular sunset is yours to enjoy from your private patio, sitting 30 feet above sea level.
Step Back In Time is a spacious, comfortable, well-kept older home. The unusually large great room includes a seating area with a large flat screen TV, a game table for 4 to 6, a dining room table that seats 10, and a large, open kitchen. The house is one level, perfect for toddlers to grandparents. The sun porch and large master bedroom both have Gulf view picture windows. The king size master bedroom also has a flat screen TV and dvd player, along with plenty of drawer space, a walk-in closet and private bathroom. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have 2 queen beds each, both with attached full baths. Separate laundry room has a large washer and drier. Parking is provided for 5 vehicles, with 3 in the garage.
Conveniently located, it's only a 5 to 10 minute walk west to the Seaside Town Center where a unique variety of restaurants, shopping and fun activities are available year round. Or take a 5 minute walk east to “V”, one of the newest fine dining restaurants on 30-A, or to the casual Village Market Restaurant, mentioned in Southern Living as a local favorite for grilled and fried grouper. First time visitors to Walton County will especially appreciate the bike path and walking trail that stretches many miles from Rosemary Beach through Seagrove Beach and on past Seaside, Watercolor and Grayton Beach.

We had an excellent family vacation at Step Back in Time. The location was perfect--just steps to Seaside on a beach that was much less crowded! The home was extremely clean and well maintained, and it featured lots of fun games, books and activities for infants to adults. Step Back in Time has a feel of a home that has been well-loved by one family for a generation. This home was perfect for our family of seven, but could fit more comfortably. The rooms were all very large and roomy with huge closets, plenty of blankets and pillows, and each bedroom has its own private full bath with outdoor shower. Large tables in the kitchen and living area were convenient. The entire property inside and out was very clean and very well maintained. Seven houses up from Seaside where we usually stay-an easy walk or bike ride. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything a large family could need, and plenty of beach toys and chairs, puzzles and books for the little kids too. The beach was gorgeous, just stair steps away off the large patio. The management company was very pleasant and attentive. We had a wonderful time here and would rent again for sure.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
