Our stay at Casa Balam was terrific. The house was very nice, from the beautiful bathrooms, well equiped kitchen, nicely decorated interior. All linens and towels were provided. The yard was well treed, private, nicely landscaped. Lots of birds to see. An exceptional view of of the carribean from the house at all levels. A few great restaurants very close by. The home owner and property manager were very accommodating. We would highly recommend this home as a vacation getaway.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This place was great, it was right what we needed for a vacation. The home is very unique, with custom bamboo furniture, and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the rooftop very much, especially at night where we just stared at the stars. During the day we spent most of the time relaxing in the front yard, under the coconut trees there are hammocks and lounge chairs. Being a diver, i was in heaven because this house is basically on the water, and the reef is very close by kayak. There is also a dive shop right up the beach 5 minutes walk to take you out past the reef. At night we usually went to a restaurant nearby or cooked. I have to say we were very comfortable here and LOVED the house, it is very relaxing and the surrounding beach and coconut trees just make it an incredible experience. I highly recommend the home and the property manager was very attentive, anything you need they will help with. Just a great experience...!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.
