Our family usually has our beach vacation on one of the wide sandy beaches of the panhandle or West Florida. This house was a different kind of gulf front , but well worth the trade off. The long pier into the gulf was great for fishing. We saw dolphin and shark fishing for their dinners. The pool was huge and a wonderful place to relax and cool off. The upstairs veranda overlooking the gulf was one our favorite spots to sit and read and watch the birds. The area is very peaceful, quiet and friendly. We all agreed we would love to go back for another stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

The house was beautiful, spacious, fully stocked and in a fantastic location. My family is a fishing family and we spent most of our time on the gulf catching a variety of fish from baby sharks to Spanish Mackeral. We also had access to kayaks and a paddle boat which provided many hours of entertainment for the kids (and adults). We saw dolphins feeding daily, a manatee swimming along the shoreline and even a larger shark chasing the plentiful baitfish right before we left. The pool was the icing on the cake and was perfect for a quick cool-off in the afternoons when the tide was out. We are already trying to schedule for the same week next year so we will definately be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was beautiful. Kris and Earl helped make us feel at home- arranging for our kids to borrow bikes, showing them how to fish and crab... cooking fish and crab for us! I just loved seeing the water sparkle. Our children played, we relaxed. The home was roomy - everyone had their own little place to relax when they wanted. We saw dolphins and horseshoe crabs. The kids swam in the pool while I soaked up the sun!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a great time at Miss Mary's Beach House - had the area to ourselves being it was early in the spring. Kris and Earl (our hosts) were the best! They had everything covered and had a wealth of information on where to shop, where to eat, things to do. If you were in need of anything they were right there (they lived just down the road) helping to make it happen. Bring a fishing pole if you have one the local bait shop will set you up with live bait and bobbers. Fishing off the end of the dock was great and seeing the dolphins go by in the evening was a real treat. Plenty of room in the house to relax and the view of the sunrise was phenomenal.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
