I was looking for a weekend beach house get-away to surprise my wife for Mother's Day, and this was the perfect place. We (and our two small boys) had a blast...being right on the beach made the weekend very relaxing and hassle-free. Will definitely stay longer next time!Recommended for: Families with young children.

The condo is right on the beach with ocean views from the living room, master bedroom and downstairs family room. It is in good shape (appears to be fairly new) and has pretty much anything you could want - wifi, gas fireplace, TV, decent linens, etc. It is perfect for two couples as it basically has two master suites. Also the pull out couch is on the ground floor away from the rest of the living space if you needed another bed. Danna was easy to work with and answered all of our questions. We just wanted to get away from work for the weekend and it was the ideal setting. We would definitely go back. The only drawbacks, and they were minimal, were that the kitchen has very little water pressure which made cooking and doing dishes a pain and the heat varies greatly from floor to floor so the bedrooms were cold while the top floor was hot. Neither issue was a big deal though.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

A much needed weekend away with the girlfriends was on the agenda...and Margaritaville looked like the perfect solution! This townhome location was great. It's within walking distance to the shops in Rockaway, and the view of the beach right out the bedroom and living room was beautiful! It was very well stocked and Danna was a delight to work with on the rental arrangements. It's a definite plus in our book, and a must for a return trip. I had the most restful vacation at this beautiful condo. The views of the ocean were spectacular. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was a special treat. The condo was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities I needed to feel at home. Rockaway Beach is a quaint town and all shops and restaurants are within walking distance to the condo. There are lots of easy day trips from Rockaway Beach...Cannon Beach is 35 minutes north and Tillamook is 20 minutes south. Lastly, Danna was a pleasure to work with!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were ecstatic when we first went through this condo on our arrival at Rockaway Beach. The online photos do not do it justice. It was very clean and the well supplied kitchen and baths felt like new. Master Bed and Living Room furniture were very comfortable. The views from both balconies and patio were wonderful. The beach was clean and uncrowded-great for walking and enjoying the water. We'll definitely be back! Note: if you have trouble with lots of steps, you may not want this place; however, the stairs were not steep, so easy to climb from one floor to the next. You may want to bring your own pillow and CD's.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a fabulous vacation at Margaritaville! We're pretty particular when renting accommodations when we travel - and this condo was spectacular! Very clean; high end furniture and decor; nice linens and beds; lots of amenities; it felt like home! I would recommend Rockaway Beach to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with lots of fun things to do like kite flying; long walks on the beautiful sandy beach; bright colourful sunsets; etc. We even took a 3 hour Dinner Train ride and enjoyed the scenery along the coast - a must do! It's an easy drive to Seaside, Cannon Beach or Lincoln City - where they too have wonderful beaches/views of the cliffs - and it was fun to explore their shops and restaurants. We also loved the local ice cream shops in Rockaway! We would definitely go back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Spotless and well appointed, just as advertised. Unusually well stocked kitchen -- heavy pots with snug lids!-- made cooking a pleasure. Access to the beach can't be beat. Rockaway itself is low key choice for the Coast, with good access to sightseeing in every direction. The townhouse layout took a little getting used to (main social area in top floor, then sleeping quarters, then beach/car access) but does make great use of space and beach view windows/decks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is a very comfortable, up to date property. Lovely kitchen, comfortable furnishings. The view from the third floor deck was gorgeous. Lots of toys (kites, skimboards, chairs) in the garage, ready to play or relax. Manager was great to email back and forth, very responsive. I would definitely stay here again. We went up to Manzanita to funcycle on the beach one day, and down to Tillamook to tour the cheese factory (and eat ice cream). It's about 20 minutes either direction, so well-located. And Rockaway is a charming, sleepy beach town, very family-friendly.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Over the years our family has had many beach adventures in Rockaway. One of my favorite times is when family and friends come to visit and I get to play tour guide and take them to all of our family’s favorite places. All of our friends who visit the Oregon Coast and Rockaway fall in love and are amazed at the beauty, peace and great memories that are created in this special place.
I would love to share with you some of my favorite things to do around Rockaway. First of all we love the view from our beach home. The Pacific Ocean is right outside with a 7 mile long white sandy beach. Some days I wake up and have my coffee on the deck viewing the majestic Twin Rocks right there in front of me. Other days I take the kids for an early morning walk on the beach to find whole sand dollars and sea shells.
My favorite lunch is halibut fish tacos at Dos Rocas. It is so close to our home that we can walk. The fish tacos are the best! After lunch we like to hang out on the beach, fly kites and make sand castles. The kids love to collect scraps of beach drift wood to put in a pile for our sunset bonfire and s’more roast that we must have every evening after dinner.
In the summer months, there is an old steam train that takes tourists from Rockaway to Garabaldi and back traveling right along the coast. My favorite view is when the train passes the Three Graces Tide Pools and the rock formations that are on the south side of Rockaway. If you are really lucky you might see a bald eagle perched on a rock top. The Three Graces is a fun place for kids to explore during low tide to see starfish and other sea life. After the train arrives back in Rockaway it is fun to get an ice cream or salt water taffy at the local candy shop, then walk down to Flamingo Jim's for some souvenir shopping.
This is just a sampling of our favorite activities. I hope you can come experience for yourself the majestic beauty and all of the fun that Rockaway Beach has to offer!
