Our initial thought when we walked in is that we were staying at a famiy member's home on the lake, not renting a cabin. We walked through the classic wood framed screen door, after peeling ourselves away from the view on the front porch, and we were greeted by an adorable white galley kitchen with everything we could possibly need. The home is laid out very cozy and welcoming and the front porch that is all glass with the large gorgeous table and couch is the mainstay of the house, and you'll mainly stay right there :) You can't get enough of the spanse that is front of you; the lake filled with sailboats, the quaint private dock waiting silently below, the nightly gorgeous sunsets, the fluttering sunlight through the massive oaks. From the perch the house commands on the hillside you feel as if you are king of all that you survey. The porch and stairway all the way down to the beach are in excellent condition and very safe, which is truly a wonderful feature. The home itself is rustic and cabiny with creaking wood floors and that just right sense of a home that has wrapped its arms around generations before you. The kitchen is small and oh-so-perfect and the bathroom with the stand alone clawfoot tub is so quaint and otherworldly, you'll unexpectedly enjoy the space. So stay in this cottage and listen quietly ... pour a glass of wine ... watch the setting sun dance across the water and listen for your own story of Lake Champlain. You won't soon forget it.

A great cottage on Keeler Bay with nice grounds and gardens. The house is comfortable, spacious, well stocked and exceptionally clean. It was wonderful taking the kayaks out in the morning and in the evening watching the beautiful sunsets over the bay from the large dining room or the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and didn't want to leave.

We make a trip to VT annually to visit family and friends and have been on the hunt for a great place to stay...I'm happy to report we have found an absolute gem and can't wait to come back next year. The owners are very responsive and the process couldn't have been easier. Any questions prior to our arrival were answered within a few hours and the reservation process took place all online. Upon arrival we were thrilled to find the cottage on a very private road. The cottage had a lovely yard with plenty of area for our kids to play. A hammock was set out, there was a large picnic table and some very comfortable adirondack chairs that we took full advantage of. The inside of the cottage did not disappoint. It's clear that many updates have gone into both the kitchen and bathroom and the huge farm table on the enclosed porch was a hit. The cottage was very clean and we easily found everything we needed to make ourselves at home. It is worth noting that the walls & ceiling upstairs are unfinished so we had to be mindful that no one bonked a head on a rafter. Also, the stairs to the lake are steep and small kids require supervision to get up & down. There is not a working phone and cell service is not great. None of this was an issue for us because we were looking for a more rustic vacation and to get away from it all. The waterfront and dock were perfect. We kayaked and the kids were able to easily wade in and out of the water. Lots of time was spent splashing! And the view.... gorgeous. There is a very large bird (heron?) that frequents the dock. The kids thought s/he was amazing! This cottage is everything you could ask for if you're looking for a quiet getaway on Lake Champlain. It was a perfect Vermont vacation and we can't wait to come back next year!!

We loved this place! Very charming! We were in town for a graduation at UVM & needed something that would accomodate our family. This was perfect! There was ample room for 8 guests. The kitchen was well equipped with anything we could possibly need. This worked out well for us as we had a "graduation dinner" around the large table in the sunroom. Surrounded by windows, we were able to sit & relax while enjoying the beautiful view from the porch. The "rooms" on the second level were not as private as the first floor bedroom. The loft separates the sleeping areas with partitions for walls & curtains for doors. Although we we were unaware of this "set up" , it suited our purposes just fine. Nearby is the Apple Bakery- we enjoyed their berry pie & cider donuts. We also visited Wally's Bagels in South Hero & got breakfast sandwiches. The cottage is 10 minutes to Winooski, which has some restaurants- we got take out from Papa Franks. A bit further is downtown Burlington, great for nightlife & tons of restaurants and stores. We found the quickest way to get to the cottage from NY is via the ferry in Plattsburgh. We were very glad the owners were willing to rent the cottage prior to the official opening on Memorial Day weekend. The cottage was the perfect location to enjoy the graduation weekend with our son & our family.
