The living room is perfect for lounging, entertaining or playing the baby grand piano. A cozy den with a fireplace, also overlooking the water is a peaceful place to play games or read. Its sliding glass doors open onto the deck.

Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (one with double bed, one with twin beds), a full bath and sitting area which also works as a rainy day play area. A sofa bed in the den sleeps an extra two people. This place was better in person than the Internet can show. A great view of the water, lots is space inside and quick response from the property manager (a faucet was leaking- they replaced it the next morning.). Overall a great time - definitely recommend this place

Week of fun
What a treat to pull up the drive and be over the moon with joy rather than the 'gee doesn't look like the pictures' that one can often encounter. Your home felt like home and I can't tell you how very grateful we are to have been able to stay .

Spring Break - Thanks
I wanted to let you know that we loved Maine and we loved your house. We had so much fun we were able to make it down to the beach. We were able to pick mussels off of the beach, this was something that we never thought that we would ever do, We had so much fun!!! My boys loved having their own rooms, playing the piano and looking through the telescopes at the beautiful houses and ocean. It was surreal to us every morning when we woke up, looked out the window and see that magnificent ocean view.

This home was more beautiful than the internet reflects. So picturesque! Spacious bright rooms with big windows overlooking the bay. The master bedroom has a view to die for! The property was well-maintained and very clean. The three bathrooms made it quite convenient for us to get ready for the day. Even though we visited Orr's Island off-season, there was still plenty to do! We visited Fort Popham and took a long walk on the beach, shopped at Bailey Island Gift Shop, walked the Cliff Trail to the Giant Stairs, went to lunch at the Dolphin Marina and Restaurant in Harpswell, and it just wouldn't be the same without a trip to see the gentleman who makes baskets on the island. I would also try the Sea Dogs Restaurant in Topsham. We really enjoyed it. We bought local fresh seafood from Gurnett's Trading Post and cooked it at the house and enjoyed a great meal together. We also were able to walk quite a ways on the pebble beach right outside your doorstep from the house. Late afternoons we were able to watch a doe in the backyard eating acorns. We brought my parents along and my Dad enjoyed playing the Baby Grand Piano while we nestled on the cozy furniture after a long day of sight-seeing! We fell asleep by the fire every night. This is a great place to relax and unwind from the busy pace of life! I would highly recommend this home to anyone and we will more than likely return again!

About the owner: Our aunt and uncle built the house and we are now its caretakers. Our family loves Orrs Island and it offers total relaxation as a family vacation spot.
Why the Owner Chose Orrs Island:
We came for our first vacation over 20 years ago and cannot imagine our lives without watching the lobstermen tend their traps each day and the incredible sunsets in the evening.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Harpswell Sound is alive with the daily lives of lobstermen, families of waterfowl, sea otters, and sailboats. The beach is private and offers great opportunity for shelling, sea glass collecting and wandering.
