  Pirates Beach West is my favorite area to rent a beach house in Galveston. My family and I spent a relaxing 3 days at this beach house. It was perfect for our needs which was to spend quality time together and relax. This home is beautifully decorated with a newly remodeled kitchen. The deck is large and open providing a nice breeze in the evening to enjoy dinner outside or to sit in one of the lounge chairs and read a book. The beach was just a short walk which was manageable even on a hot August day. The beach area associated with this property was very clean and best of all not crowded. A gas grill was provided which was perfect for cooking our freshly caught fish right from the ocean. This house is conveniently located to gas stations and grocery stores. It was just short drive to a variety of restaurants. Overall it was the perfect family get-a-way.

  The house has a great floorplan and our 3 girls loved the bunk bed room! The kitchen is gorgeous and every meal we cooked was excellent having been cooked on the professional gas range/grill. Loved all the natural light that comes in and having the option to shutter it at night made for great sleep. It is a very short walk to the beach and it's a family-friendly and quiet beach. Our children made new friends and the other adults on the beach were easy to talk with and shared their favorite restaurants and spots in Galveston. It did rain on a few days we were there, but the house was fully stocked with board games and puzzles so were thankful for that! Owner provided beach chairs which was great and the outdoor shower was a bonus too! We'd recommend this house to couples, families, really anyone wanting to get to Galveston and be away from the crowds but still a short drive into town and the amusements and restaurants. Thank you for a great stay!

  We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this rental home. It was spotless and beautifully decorated with a very nice kitchen. There are many lovely decks to catch a breeze on. A very easy walk through the neighborhhod to the beach. The location is very quiet and was the nicest looking community that I saw on the Island.

  We stayed here on a Thursday-Sunday in early August with another family- my hubby and I, our 3 1/2 year old son, then our friends and their 2 kiddos, as well. The house was perfect in every way. Super comfortable, super clean (I am a bit of a germ freak and this house was cleaner than even mine!), relaxing, happy atmosphere, with a homey feel. There was plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen was fully equipped and so fun to cook in. We loved eating at the inside table and the table on the deck for our meals. It was 2 blocks from the beach, so we usually all piled in the car and drove the 20 seconds because it was easier to take all of the things we wanted than to walk. There is a circle drive to park at and the beach was private, clean, and beautiful. All of the beds were comfy and the black out storm shutters in the room were amazing for sleeping in! The rooms are big and the downstairs garage had everything you could want to enjoy at the beach and more. We brought beach toys but shouldn't have because there was already so much to use there! The location of the house is perfect, as well (to the beach, of course,) but also to the fun things to do in town...just a 5 minute drive to anything touristy :) The family that owns the house is very kind and so nice to talk to...we couldn't have dreamed of finding a more perfect place to stay for our first family vacation! I hope I never have to look at renting another beach house in Galveston, because we want to come back to this exact one every time!!

  We had a great time in Galveston. The owner was very accomodating and prompt in answering all of our questions before we got there. She was great to deal with and made everything easy. The house itself is amazing. We had 4 small boys and it was perfect. The bunk room had a TV/DVD that they enjoyed! It was nicely decorated and the kitchen is amazing. If you plan on cooking while there the kitchen is a dream! There were lots of toys, beach chairs and boogie boards to take to the beach which was perfect. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off in before you go back inside. The house is just two blocks to the beach and our kids age 2 through 6 made it easily! They had a gas grill that you can use as well. We went into town and I highly reccomend the Miniature golf place. It's fun and creative. We also went to the new Pleasure Pier and the kids loved it. It's like a mini Six Flags without the crowds. I would definitely stay in Pirates Beach West again and this house was great!!

  Our extended family group was was coming from many directions and the owner was very willing to work with us on our dates. The location of the home was perfect for us... far enough away from the crowds but close enough to easily access groceries or restaurants. Approximately 7 miles from the main Strand. The home is well-appointed, upscale, extremely clean, and comfortable. There are outdoor tables and lounging furniture on the balcony as well as the ground level. The beach is only a 2 block walk and the owner even offered her beach chairs and toys for the kids. Bring your own beach towels! Excellent experience with the owner and would definitely stay here again.
