Peaceful - mostly
Peaceful - mostly
We stayed in the “Rear Villa” for a week. Jerry was very accommodating by allowing us an early check in so we could make the boat for a dive trip in time. The area is very peaceful with lots of nature. We saw a nurse shark within 5 minutes of our arrival and sting rays, starfish, crabs, manatees and lots of fish during our stay. The kayaks were nice to have for mangrove exploring as well as keeping our 17 year old son entertained when my husband and I wanted a little quiet time. The villa was very clean and mostly had what we needed for our stay. The dining table had only two chairs at the small table and we had three people which made eating together an issue. Some of the utensils were missing. If we had had a fourth person, it really would have been a problem. We were asked by Jerry to use the long way around so we wouldn’t walk in front of the neighboring villa when coming and going. The neighbors next to us said they didn’t mind though which made the walk to the car easier when carrying dive gear. The upstairs neighbors as well as the downstairs all seem to cross in front of our villa at all times but no one minded the traffic. One problem was that the common area was directly outside our bedroom window and we did have to ask the neighbors to keep it down at night when we were getting up early in the mornings for diving. Also, the ropes used as railings were brittle and the one near the parking area broke when my son leaned on it while looking into the water, causing him to fall into the water. The pictures shown are actually for the other lower villa. Our villa was smaller especially the kitchen. The villa is a good place for families with teens since there are other activities available, like the kayaks and fishing.
