Great location, plumbing issues
Great location, plumbing issues
The positives: great location; good neighborhood with a huge Waitrose supermarket in the Brunswick complex down the street that has everything you could possibly need; comfortable beds; washer and dryer; generally charming apartment. Harrison gastro pub is a five minute walk away and really a great spot for drinks or dinner, I highly recommend it. The main negative for us, and the reason this rating is 3 rather than 4 stars, is that the bathroom is not up to the quality of the rest of the apartment. Our experience was probably an aberration and is I'm told being addressed by the owner - but unfortunately the toilet leaked the entire 5 days we were there, which put a damper on our stay (no pun intended). Faucets were leaky, walls have a bit of mildew - an updated bathroom would make this a strong 4-star choice. Note also that the apartment might be a bit small for four adults - we were two adults and two teenagers so it was fine for us, but there is not really quality sitting room for more than 2 in the living room. I didn't mind sitting on the floor - but some might. Note also that the apartment is on the first floor (second floor, for Americans) and overlooks Tavistock, so the street noise can be an issue. I don't view that as a negative of this apartment - just the reality of living in a city like London - it can be overcome with earplugs or a portable white noise machine....

Perfect location and great flat!
Perfect location and great flat!
This was my first time in London and went for a week stay with a friend. The location of the flat was perfect! It is less than a 5 minute walk to the Kings Cross/ St. Pancras tube station and National Rail line. This is a main tube station and connects to all lines so it is super easy to get everywhere. The flat was exactly as expected. We each had a very comfortable bedroom, the living room and kitchen area were the prefect size for the two of us, and the bathroom was clean with great linens. We did not spend a ton of time in the flat because we wanted to spend all of our time touring around. Because of the location we were able to see everything! There is also a couple of great coffee shops on the way to the tube station. We planned on using the kitchen for cooking breakfast, and it would have been great for that but we used the kitchen more to store snacks and cold drinks. So nice to be able to do that and have the option to cook-in. I highly recommend the flat for 2 people traveling as friends, or for a couple and 1 other adult or a couple and 1 - 2 kids.

Wife and I and our 12 yr. old grandson spent 9 days at the flat in November 2012. The flat was clean, comfortable and secure. The layout was perfect for 2 adults and child. The small bedroom allowed grandson to "sleep-in" occasionally. We had breakfasts and several lunches in the flat which was a money saver. A very convenient location-French bakery and small grocery across the street, internet cafe, numerous excellent pubs and restaurants close by (favorites North Sea Fish (take away), Carluccios,) The Brunswicke Center was close and had pharmacy, shops, restaurants and Waitrose Grocery Market-a fabulous high-end grocery where I loved to shop. Two tube stations are close-Russell Square and Kings Cross, bus stops close also. Used the Travel Card and traveled all over London (including 4 football matches) with ease. Small park 1 block away where grandson kicked soccer ball. Staff at front desk were very helpful and courteous. The flat is in a secure London neighborhood which we preferred to a tourist hotel. King bed was comfortable. Having a local phone helped in confirming reservations, etc. Payment and prompt refund of security deposit via PayPal was very efficient.. Looking forward to our next visit.

We were bringing our daughter to get settled at UCL for the year so the flat was perfect for us in the Master bedroom and her in the single room until she could get into her residence. The beds were comfy and the apartment was great and we liked having a washer and dryer. The wonderful touches like milk for the coffee and bottle water were appreciated. It was near tube stations and buses and walking distance to UCL and many yummy local places to eat too. A great place to stay in London. Thanks!

Great flat and location
Great flat and location
The flat was in a great location and close to two tubes. You can get anywhere in a matter of minutes. The flat was roomy and accommodated two people quite easily. You could probably have up to six people with no issue. Nice to have laundry facilities, free local calls, Internet and Virgin cable in the flat. Very close to market and small convenience store is across the street. The front desk guard made it feel very safe. A few minor things that need to be taken care of and it will definitely be a 5 star flat. Sarah was great in communicating and answering all my questions in a very timely manner. She even helped facilitate communication with the flat manager in London. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. I also plan on going back next year and will more than likely stay here.

We rented this place as our daughter finished up a semester in London. The apartment is well equipped and fairly large for London, perfect for a family. It has a great location only a five minute walk from King's Cross station in a nice neighborhood with groceries, pharmacy and restaurants just steps away! British Museum is close by and a must see. Beds are definitely comfortable, everything worked. The owner replied quickly to all our inquiries and was very accommodating for us to stay an extra day when our plane was delayed until the next morning. The local rental manager, was wonderful to work with both in person and on the phone, he was very flexible. He arranged a car from the airport and when our plane was delayed until early the next morning, he quickly adjusted the taxi and met us at the apartment. Great place, excellent location.

Cute Apartment, Great Location
Cute Apartment, Great Location
My mother, my 2 sisters and myself stayed at the London Town Flat during our trip to London to visit my daughter who was studying abroad for a semester. The apartment was perfectly located between 2 tube stations, in a friendly and safe area with lots of pubs, shops and markets within easy walking distance. The apartment is cute and clean and was a great place to hang out at the end of a long day of walking and sight-seeing. We would often grab a bottle of wine, baguette and piece of cheese or some hummus for a light dinner. We could all enjoy sitting around the living room, relaxing and discussing our day. The apartment owner and manager were very flexible and helpful with check-in days and times as we planned our last minute trip. The apartment is in a safe area and the doorman at the front desk was very kind and helpful. This extra security made us feel even safer. Overall, we had a great trip and thoroughly enjoyed this apartment and the area. I would recommend the London Town Flat to other US travelers who want to enjoy the sights of London and the convenience of an apartment with a kitchen and living area.
