This rental more than met my expectations. The description was modest compared to what we expected. The house was clean and spotless. Just outside the back door was a creek where we saw moose and bear tracks. Fully equipped, good convenient location. The views were incredible! Steve and Pati were more than happy to assist and fulfill our every unique request. They provided valuable advice about the area. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cozy house in the Kenai peninsula.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay while getting married in Seward, we found this place on VRBO and what a great deal! The scenery was so great that we actually had our photographers come to the house and we took all of our wedding party pictures outside by the river. We also meet the owners and great people! We had a blast for the 4 nights that we stayed and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, nice and roomy place to stay. We used almost all amenities, the fire pit, they also had a deep freezer that was great to use after our chartered fishing trip. I would defiantly stay here again the next time we are in Seward.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Hi! This past July, I came up with friends to see the sights around the Kenai peninsula. This place was wonderful. It was everything the photos showed. The house is new, warm, clean and exactly what I expected. I wanted my rental to be the backdrop to the vacation not be the issue that colorized the trip. Pati and Steve were very helpful with suggestions and went out of their way to help us have a great time. Using it as a central location we were able to head out fishing ( Pati set us up with a local sea fishing company), drive into Seward to watch the local and international color run the annual "Hill" run, to go sightseeing and to view the sea life of the Prince WIlliam Sound through a sea tour.( again Pati suggested this company too). The fishing was fantastic. I caught some serious fish! I can't really recommend any restaurants as I like to cook and used the house to create some great meals sitting outside around the fire. The BBQ worked just fine and all was easy. We were lucky the weather was beautiful so very little rain even though I was totally prepared for the worst. It was amazing and heavenly. We also drove to the beautiful Alyeska to visit that amazing ski resort and hike about. It was stunning. Enroute to Homer, we stopped in Moose Pass to grab a coffee and enjoy the stunning lake in that humble little burg. The Kenai penisula was great We had a Moose cross the road in front of us. Wow! That was a treat. Homer was beautiful. Close to Seward, we did a fair amount of easy hiking and visited a couple of glaciers in the areas surrounding this jewel of the Kenai. It was a wonderful trip and I'm hoping to go back in the near future to enjoy all of it again. I need more fish! Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Steve and Pati your place was so perfect, nestled away in the trees and just 80 feet from the river. It was awesome. The views of the mountains and and the wildlife were great. Everything inside was wonderful and we felt right at home. The kitchen was spacious, plenty of wood for the fireplace, beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful time. The grandchildren loved it too, we went to the river several times just to skip rocks and almost every time we went out we would encounter Bald Eagles. Steve was so accommodating, he bent over backwards to see we were happy! I am glad to be able to write this review of this property in the hope that others would be able to experience the same. On your recommendation we took the salmon fishing tour and did well out of Seward (of course my grandson out fished me). Then off to Whittier to take the Glacier cruise, toured the town of Seward and the Museum. Kenai Fjords evening wildlife cruise with dinner. Wonderful memories for all of us.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
