  Recently stayed at this fantastic condo for one week! The listing description and pictures were accurate. We loved the high ceilings and the loft bedroom - made it seem bright and airy! Loved how close the Times grocery store is and our favourite Royal Thai restaurant - walking distance, even with an 8 and 5 year old! Having the pool and hot tub was enjoyable as we were in it every day/night. The owners were extremely friendly and easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this condo! The beach that we went to every evening to take in the sunsets is literally minutes from the condo. The kids were able to safely play in the large enclosed green space. There were numerous beach goodies stocked in the condo for young and old! Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay at Kihei Gardens. We have been to Maui numerous times and this was our first stay there. Thanks!

  The owner was very nice and easy to conduct business with. The listing photos and descriptions were accurate as well. There's an endless list of amenities that all come in handy, you'd never be able to get at a hotel without shoveling out a ton of extra money. The property was clean and the location couldn't be beat. Less than 25 min. to airport, less than 40 minutes to Lahaina Front. St, and less than 15 min. to Wailea and "The Triangle" in Kihei. Our favorite beach was Makena Big Beach approx. 20 min. drive away. I would recommend this property to friends and relatives. 3 large grocery stores (Times-2 min walk, Longs 5 min. drive, Safeway less than 10 min. drive) nearby. definitely eat at Coconuts Fish Cafe-Kihei, Eskimo Candy-Kihei, and Monkeypod Kitchen-Wailea. Must try surf lessons with Dustin at Maui Surfer Girls.

  This unit has not been remodelled, that is false advertising. First of all it was filthy. The single beds are so old the springs are nearly poking through. The A/C and fan in the small bedroom were not working properly nor did the main fan in the living room. The umbrella for the lanai was old and broken and we had to jimmy it open and make it work. The main floor tub is so worn it can't be cleaned and needs to be replaced. The dishwasher needs replacing. The washing machine wasn't working and was not fixed the whole two weeks we were there in spite of the owner being aware. All the linen and towels are old and stained and mismatched. The stereo and TV are outdated and poor quality. We were told there was WiFi but there was no connection. Needs to painted throughout and carpets replaced. The cutlery and knives need to be replaced, not a sharp knife to be found. All the plumbing fixtures need to be changed. This unit is definately not worth the price and I would not recommend it to anyone or stay in it again.

  Owner response: This is quite a different response than we generally get as you can see! The washer, less than 6 yrs old, did break while she was there. As soon as I got the information, I requested a repair, but it did not happen when she was there. Our unit is one of the few in KGE with a washer anyway! She was basically given a free night as she took a late night flight and was not charged for her late checkout. I am not sure why she couldn't get the wifi to work. Apparently, there has been quite a bit of dust recently and I was just notified about this. Window and carpet cleaning are scheduled. Generally, we get rave reviews about how our great our cleaning person is doing!! We do take pride in our unit and want to please our guests.

  Great location!! Really is just steps to the beach, supermarket, restaurants and bars. The condo was great!! Better than what the pictures show. The property was very clean and very well maintained. The condo owner was awesome. She helped us out a lot. We had no concerns. The only thing was that the twin beds were quite uncomfortable. We would definitely recommend this property. Great pool, jacuzzi and BBQ area. We ate at Stellas a few times. The food and service were A+. We also ate at Freds. Best mexican food and Marguritas. Anyone staying in Kihei should also try the seafood and Eskimo Candy. Too many great restaurants to list. Not one bad meal. Everyone is so happy and friendly!! Will definitely return.

  Good: 1. All amenities in kitchen and home. 2. Things needed for Beach were all stocked up (like chairs, towels, mats etc) 3. Worth the price paid. A low budget vacation home. 4. Couple of blocks away from Grocery stores and eat outs. 5. Everything is maintained well. 6. Owner is very hospitable and accommodating. Cons: 1. away from major places like Kanapalli, Lahiana (major tourist attraction). near by beach wasn't great. 2. Wi-fi is poor. My 4G connection was better 3. Not a luxury feeling when entering the home (see pics). This is a budget vacation home. Summary: We would spend more $ and live close to kanapalli next time we visit.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  Owner response: Regarding the beach: We chose Kihei Garden Estates for its location. It is near the nice public beaches. You can find accommodations closer to those public beaches, but you would be in the congested part of Kihei and would have to walk across very busy S. Kihei Rd. to get to the beach. The beachfront is the same all the way from just south of us north to Lahaina. Otherwise, for good swimming beaches you need to rent in pricy Waliea or expensive places north of Lahaina.   My family stayed here for nine nights and found it to be very comfortable and enjoyable. This was our second stay at Kihei Garden Estates, but our first in this unit. The pluses: *Very well stocked with beach gear: chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, I think I even saw a sun tent in there although we didn't take it out *Washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient and worked well *Very clean (the owners had the carpets cleaned right before our stay) *LOTS of room *Nice pool and bbq area *Lots of geckos and lizards on the property *Short walk to a nice small beach. It is a great beach to go walking on at night looking for ghost crabs with the kids. *Easy walking distance to MANY stores and restaurants Cons: *Only the living room has a tv and it is older. We really didn't mind this but some might. There is a nice dvd player though and a blockbuster nearby *The upstairs bedroom is a loft with not a lot of privacy compared to a closed off bedroom

  The condo was spacious and comfortable. I had stayed in the same complex before and enjoy the well-kept grounds, the pool area and the location.

  The condo was cleaned and the outdoor propery immaculate. Indoor we had everything to make our vacation easy. Outdoor was great with a nice garden and awesome pool and spa and BBQ facilities. We had a lovely time. My only disapointment was that the beach, that was 1 minute walk, was not family friendly. On our first day, we learned that if we wanted to be sandblasted, that was the place. Not to worry, we found wonderful beaches nearby. I would go back to the same complex. Cheers!

  My family and I spent a week in Kihei at this lovely Garden Estates condo. The condo is immaculate with a very roomy layout. It's well stocked with both kitchen and beach gear and you can tell the owner loves the place when she talks about it. You can walk to grocery stores, restaurants, drug stores and, of course, the local gelato place. There are two diving/snorkeling shops nearby. We liked the local shop--"B & B". The condo complex has a lovely pool, BBQ's, and gardens. We loved exploring all the different beaches and neighborhoods from the glitzy Waimea hotel strip to the gorgeous , primitive beaches 20 minutes south. Maui is truly paradise and we'd stay here again any time!

  This condo felt just like home. All of the comforts of home in a clean, remodeled unit. Kitchen was well stocked; we enjoyed many wonderful meals on the patio. Location in Kihei is great - near the grocery store and beach. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
