Enjoy spectacular sunrises and long, lazy days on the white sands of St. Augustine Beach at our ground-floor, oceanfront condo at Barefoot Trace 103. Spacious and boasting the latest appliances, it has the comforts of home in a great location!
The showplace of the condo -- and the first place you're likely to settle in; it's irresistible! -- is our wide, covered deck directly facing the ocean. You'll welcome the mix of sunshine and shade here, and love the feel of the salty breezes cutting through the balmy Florida air. You have a panoramic view of the grassy landscaping at Barefoot Trace, the private wooden boardwalk over the dunes down to the beach, and of course the sparkling blue surf itself!
The patio is a great place first thing in the morning, when the sea birds wheel past to fish for their breakfast in the tide; at noon, when the sea is its brightest and you can watch swimmers bobbing in the surf; and in late afternoon, when the colors change and the first cooler notes enter the air. Prepare to see pelicans, terns, and much more, not to mention the occasional school of dolphins playfully swimming past! The dunes are also full of wildlife, so bring your binoculars, your Peterson's Guides, and your camera!
But the best thing about Barefoot Trace 103 is that even when it's time to go indoors, you don't have to leave the view behind. The sliding glass doors looking out to the ocean occupy almost the entire front wall of the open-plan living and dining area, giving you a lovely view even from way back in the kitchen!
Our living room is designed for comfort and relaxation. Sink into the recliner or loll on the long couch. (It unfolds into a bed for 2, giving a couple of lucky people in your group a front-row seat for the sunrise!) A big flat-screen TV in an entertainment center stands ready to play your favorite movie, should you decide for a quiet night 'in' after all your revels on the beach or in the city. The ceiling fan keeps the cool air circulating, and everything is so pleasant and calm after the excitement of the day.
The dining area is adjacent to the living space, so your group can stay together even while some people gravitate to the TV and others break out the Rummikub at the table. This dining table for 6 is lovely for meals, but most often these get eaten out (St. Augustine's restaurants are simply fabulous!) or carried out to the patio. So convert it into a computer table (you have free wireless Internet here, after all) or game center. Everyone will enjoy a round of Crazy Eights after dinner!
Speaking of dinner, if you do decide to prepare a few homemade meals, you'll be rewarded by the thoroughly pleasant kitchen at Barefoot Trace 103. We have stocked the cupboards with cookware, utensils, and dishes galore, so you turn that freshly-caught fish into a feast! So nice to have all the time-savers you rely on here, from coffeemaker and toaster oven to microwave!
Another jewel in the crown of this condo is the master suite. Boasting a king-sized bed, TV, and huge window with ocean views, it's a sanctuary of quiet and repose after a day with the whole group. And the en-suite bath contains a walk-in shower and vanity!
The second bedroom is spacious and welcoming, with 1 queen and 1 twin bed, and plenty of room for toys and projects. This room is convenient to the 2nd bathroom, which contains both a bathtub and shower option. Remember, all linens and towels are provided for you here -- along with a washer and dryer right in the condo for your use!
The livin' is always easy at Barefoot 103, a family friendly resort with a big swimming pool, tennis courts, & shuffleboard. Make friends, keep the whole group entertained.

After I had booked the rental, I had agreed to a 300 nonrefundable fee and my credit card had been charged, I was emailed a contract to sign. This contract included a very obnoxious clause regarding my authorizing my credit card to be charged for a number of possible abuses to the rental property, including turning up the thermostat on the pool.<br/><br/>I have a couple of problems with this. When the booking was arranged and my card was charged, the transaction was complete and a contract made. If there is a contract it should be presented and signed before money changes hands. I would never sign anything with a clause as described above (would I and my family be the only ones who might turn up the pool thermostat?)<br/><br/>The condo was old and every metal part was corroded and marginally functional: faucets, door locks (especially sliding screens and doors); screen of back screen door had a big hole in it, ceiling light fixtures were noticeably grubby, a table lamp was missing the switch, stove heating coils were not flat so pans were sliding off.<br/><br/>The site was beautiful and the common areas well maintained. I would shop around carefully before booking this unit again. The cars on the beach were a definite negative which surprised me very much, something to know about florida.

We really had a wonderful time and the view of the beach and pool was great! The condo is older but it was clean. It would have been nice to have WIFI access in the unit (instead of having to go down to the clubhouse) and a table with chairs for the balcony. Overall we had a great time!

The property interior was "dated". Appliances were not in good shape, especially the dishwasher. The bathrooms were outdated. The owner told the property management company that WIFI was available in the condo, and it was not.

The property had a beautiful view, was a nice size, etc... It is really in need of some updating. Not one porch had enough chairs to accomodate 4 people--so if you wanted two on a bedroom balcony you had to steal from main balcony--there may have been 4 total..and i am talking inexpensivce plastic chairs. The kitchen towels had holes in them, the potholders the same and looked dirty. It would cost about 10.00 to fix that. and that same theme carried all through the condo. Nothing was what I would call..attractive or well kept from towels to carpet to the walls needing painted....take a look at the ironing board cover...that is priceless. We have stayed in many vacation rental homes and condos...and if this is representative of your company then I will not be retuning to any unit you manage. We were steered away from another unit and in hindsight it may have been better. Your agent, while nice, knew nothing about any units..I believe she was new. The view from the balconies was very nice, and we would have preferred to enjoy it without having to buy our own chairs and having to drag them from porch to porch. The other issue was while the unit had been "cleaned" the garbage disposal would not work nor would the master tub drain. The 1/2 bath sink would not drain. We contacted the agency on Sunday and they had to cal a plummer--he made it there on Tuesday. I did not expect him to come Sunday-- but as it was he wasn't even able to finish until Wednesday. These things did not happen over night...and cleaning personel had to notice the tub would not drain---it would have been impossible to miss... So all in all the view was nice, but in my opinion does not make up for all the negatives.
