Graymor Garden Cottage is absolutely lovely and the hosts are welcoming and very knowledgeable. This location is perfect if you are considering relocation/retirement in Campbell River. After enjoying our summer holidays at the cottage for the past few years, we spent three months living there with all the comforts of home while we searched for property to purchase. The cottage is extremely cosy and well equipped and the west coast garden with its massive eagle trees is magical. The location is close to downtown amenities and offers spectacular views of Discovery Passage. We would highly recommend the cottage for a long term rental.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We just returned from a family wedding in Campbell River. I was in need of two nights accomodations and POSSIBLY a meeting spot for more family members depending on everyone's proximity. I had heard that MOST out-of-town guests were booked into B & B's all over the Campbell River area. As it turned out - Graymor Cottage was the FAVORITE gathering spot. Since we tend to be loud when we get together (which is about once a year!) - we appreciated the privacy and not needing to worry about bothering our hosts. Because our trip was centered around a family gathering with limited time I wanted something that would feel like "a home away from home" and I got EXACTLY what I wanted. You KNEW that you wouldn't want for anything. This was exactly like being at home. EVERYTHING you needed was there. This spot has good karma!! Great hosts...great location...great value for the dollar. I look forward to returning when the garden is in full bloom. GREAT PLACE!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing.

While spending 7 months 2008/2009 at Graymor Garden Cottage, I was comfortable, cozy, and felt quite “at home”. It really is fully equipped; all you need is your clothes and your toothbrush. It’s an adorable cottage in a beautiful setting with fabulous views. I enjoyed eagles soaring above, cruise ships gliding by, and the garden evolving from autumn to winter to spring. The location is within easy walking distance to downtown for shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area. They went out of their way to ensure my comfort and were very welcoming to my pets.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1972
About the owner: This is a photo of Joan & Wes Stephens, Owners of Graymor Garden Cottage (and that's Jett the Catt in Joan's arms). This photo was taken on the ocean front patio of the Cottage property.
Why the Owner Chose Campbell River:
The Cottage is located on the property with our home and until the summer of 2004 it was rented to permanent tenants. In June 2004 we renovated and furnished it and began offering it as a Vacation Rental property.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The Cottage is located close to downtown Campbell River and is surrounded by gardens. The ocean front patio provides an ever-changing view of marine traffic on Discovery Passage - Alaska cruise ships, tugs towing container barges and log booms, yachts, sail boats and lots of large and small fishing boats. We pride ourselves on offering a spotlessly clean, comfortable accommodation with loads of amenities (as detailed on our listing).
