I had a wonderfully relaxing stay a this beautifully modern home with an awe-inducing view of Carmel Bay. The location is a block from the beach is within walking distance to town. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and the hospitality alone deserved 5 stars. I would recommend a stay here in a heartbeat. I arrived, saw this sunset and fell in love with this place. Unbeleavable, I felt the fire of life in this bay, a still explosion enflaming it. It was one of the moments where you understand why you are at this earth ... also my walk along the beach to the center of carmel next day with its small bays and white sand were marvelous. At the evening I saw sea lions playing with seagals. After I had a absolut quiet wonderful sleep in my well maintained appartment (ocean view!). The charming as temperamental owners and their sweet dog with a irresistible eyebeam are an absolut recommendation!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Had a really great time here. Perfect quiet setting enjoyed beach walks every morning and beautiful sunsets. The accommodations were comfortable, with a great fireplace and outdoor seating area. Very well maintained, lovingly detailed accomodation, very quiet and cozy, lots of space, very comfortable beds, spacious baths, comfortable parking. The views of the Pacific and Point Los Lobos are absolutely stunning. Photographs can't tell how gorgeous it really is. You can walk steps down to a beach and cove that has a private feel, only locals know about it. You can directly hike into point Los Lobos State Park, some of Carmels most beautiful trails start 200 yards from the house. The restaurants of Carmel are a very pleasant walk along the beach away. This place is an excellent venture point for day trips along the coast or a relaxing accomodation for a business stay in the Carmel area. I was able to to both and I definitely will be back! What a great location and house. The pictures do not do it justice - it is gorgeous. Our vacation was perfect. The house is so close to the beach, it was great to sleep with the windows open listening to the surf. The beach is a short walk from the house and we could have spent our entire vacation on the almost private beach. The house was very clean and decorated beautifully - hard to believe it was a rental. There were so many extra thoughtful touches throughout the house. The fact that it didn't have a full kitchen was no issue. Carmel has so many wonderful restaurants - we knew we would be eating out a lot. Maya the owner was fantastic to work with. She was very professional and very helpful with planning. I will highly reccomend this property to friends & family. PERFECTION! We stayed in the beautiful studio for a weekend getaway. It has the same amazing view as the pic! The beach walks were amazing - you can walk into Carmel right from the beach! The studio is clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The owners hospitality was A+! I was fortunate to land in the Guest Wing on my second visit to Carmel. The location is a pure dream. I was grateful to be steps away from the Pacific and enjoyed the immediate access to the beach trails. Plus, from this location, you gain a peerless view of Point Lobos! The owners were extremely responsive to my questions and provided excellent guidance. The guest wing is spacious, comfortable and very clean. It's set up like your home away from home and equipped with all the basic amenities. There is even a beautiful lounge area to get cozy and relax (and if you wish, watch a 3-D film). I highly encourage you to make this your vacation rental of choice and soak up all this wonderful location has to offer.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

I have enjoyed my stays in both the Guest Wing and Studio, so I can fully recommend this stunning location. On the occasion when I just needed a two night stay, I was offered the Studio Apartment - on the lower level. The Studio is cozy, comfortable and complete with the basic amenities required for a visit to Carmel. The sounds of the Pacific, stunning views, beach path right outside + proximity to Carmel-by-the-Sea and Point Lobos park...make this a perfect choice if you are visiting the Carmel area. It doesn't get much better than this location.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I stayed here for a week and it was wonderful!! The location is to die for-- right on the water, 15 minute walk to Point Lobos Reserve, 5 minutes from the beach...it was perfect. The house is lovely too and even though I didn't spend too much time lounging around, it was a pleasure to come home and feel relaxed and comfortable. This would be a great place to stay for a weekend getaway or for a hiking trip to the reserve and Big Sur. It's also very close to Carmel and Carmel Valley. Totally worth it!!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
