Come enjoy your best vacation ever at Beach Bungalow, our house just 5 minutes from the ocean. You’ll love our wraparound balcony, big yard, and luxurious 2nd-floor living areas, not to mention the downstairs flat with kitchenette, great room, and bedroom!
Step inside Beach Bungalow and you will smile: it has the feel of your grandparents’ beach house in its comfort and friendliness, combined with a contemporary décor and many brand-new features. This is a house you can imagine returning to every year, because it’s instantly “home” and always comfortable.
The second floor is surrounded by a wraparound wooden balcony with views in several directions. French doors lead out to this space – which is partially covered and offers a mix of sun and shade any time of day – and many windows overlook it, giving you the feeling of being outside even when you’re not! There’s a table and chairs for al fresco dining, plenty of seating and empty space. This is the spot you’ll head for first thing in the morning, coffee and smartphone in hand. It’s also where you’ll retreat with a good book after a busy morning, to soak up the quiet warmth of our little coastal paradise. The balcony’s not bad for stargazing, either!
Just in from the balcony is the great room, with a TV and DVD player and circlet of plump, cushioned couches surrounding a soft rug. Before you can blink an eye, the kids will be sprawled out on this rug, toys and projects spread out happily around them (they know a kid-friendly place when they see one!), and one or more of the grown-ups will be settled on a couch, already feeling pleasantly sleepy. It’s the kind of room you imagine spending Sunday morning in, sunlight spilling through the big windows, music playing softly, newspapers everywhere, and endless mugs of coffee.
The kitchen and dining areas are alongside the living room. Our dining room is very spacious and sunny, ready to host a feast, but it is always being snubbed in favor of the little table out on the balcony. (Can’t think why!) If you prefer your meals al fresco or pick-up too, clear the decks and turn the dining room into Game Central, with puzzles and cards and Hungry Hungry Hippos ready to go!
You’ll love the main kitchen at Beach Bungalow. (There’s also a kitchenette downstairs.) Pretty in white and yellow, it’s compact and efficient. Its cupboards and cabinets are stacked with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and cooking utensils, so you can whip up just about anything. We’ve got all the time saving mini-appliances, too, from the blender and toaster to the microwave and coffeemaker. Anything to get you back outdoors a little faster!
The second floor also contains 2 of the bedrooms at Beach Bungalow. The third, along with a daybed in a separate living room, are downstairs. There are 2 bathrooms up here too, and another full bath downstairs. Wherever you put everyone, they are going to sleep well!
You’ll love the master suite, with its king-sized bed, polished hardwood floor, private TV, and multiple windows to admit breezes and sunshine. The en-suite bath is bright and cheerful too, with both a shower and tub option.
The second bedroom upstairs contains 2 twin beds, and is light-filled and pleasant.
Downstairs, the third bedroom offers a comfy queen-sized bed. The bath matches it. And that’s only part of the downstairs flat: there is also a living room with a luxe daybed, TV, and door to the patio and backyard, plus a round table just right for cards and games, and a handy kitchenette! Perfect for accommodating grandparents, another couple, or teenagers, the downstairs flat is self-contained and charming.
The big grassy fenced yard at Beach Bungalow is beloved by children of all ages, and an even bigger treat is just a 5-minute walk away: the Atlantic Ocean! Our unique coquina-shell beach is wonderfully unspoiled. Get here early one morning and watch dawn break over the horizon; then visit the quieter waters of the Intracoastal to view the sunset. It’s all waiting for you here!
