My husband, 3 kids and I recently spent a week at Etoile De Mare with friends and we had a wonderful time. The House is beautiful, the kids loved the pool, the short walk to the beach and of course the tennis courts. We played tennis every morning, ran on the beach, and loved the shallow turqoise blue water. Taylor Bay is beautiful. We rented cars and went to different beaches around the island. The snorkling in Turks is amazing and we also rented a boat and went water skiing. It was our first time on Turks and we will definately be back. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

The tennis courts allowed for hours of matches between the kids. The layout of the house provided some space between the boys and the girls and worked very well for our family. This was our second time to visit and it was as wonderful as the first. The property manager was very friendly and helpful, as we're all the people who worked at the house (cleaning, lawn care). The house itself is just as beautiful as the surroundings. The sunsets at Taylor Bay were spectacular. The colors of the water all around the island are beautiful beyond description. This place is truly one you should see.

Wonderful vacation with toddlers

We had a wonderful 6 night stay at Etoile de Mer. 4 adults traveling with 2 toddlers-a 21 month and 19 month olds and we were very comfortable in the large comfy house. We felt well taken care of right when we arrived being met by Dinesh, manager of the property. When we asked for a beach cooler--she brought one to the house the next day. Very friendly and great advice about the island. There were 2 cribs in the house, which meant that we could pack less! There were great pool toys and beach toys for the kids. Great stocked kitchen-we saved money by eating many meals at the house (Provo has amazing restaurants--just really pricey!). Taylor Bay was such a great find. Our kids could easily go in and out of the water. We can't wait to return and we would definitely stay at Etoile again.

We had a lovely week at Etoile de Mer (7 adults, 1 child). The house was perfect, with plenty of room for people to relax in different areas and comfortable beds. Taylor Bay was the ideal beach for our 3 year old son and close enough that we could run back to the house for a bathroom break or to easily grab some snacks (you just walk past the tennis court and you are there). You definitely want a car (or two if you are a larger group), as Taylor Bay is somewhat out of the way (our family spends a lot of time diving with Big Blue, at the other end of the island), but we couldn't have imagined a better beach for children - you can walk forever in the water, soft sand for playing, and plenty of starfish to find. Margaret also had full-size cribs and a high chair available (in addition the buckets of pool/beach toys), which is a great option when traveling with small children/babies. The house itself was also perfect for our needs - comfortable living areas, nice kitchen, great outdoor spaces (including the pool). Having a washing machine also made things easier when traveling with a 3 year old! We had no problem with security or rustling. Workers were all friendly and responsive.

Perfect Getaway!

This was by far the best vacation we have ever been on! The house was nothing but perfect. It was spacious, private, clean, safe, and had all the amenities you could imagine. It was nice waking up and literally rolling over to the beach. There are kayaks at the house, which made for a priceless morning cruise in the bay. Thank you for sharing your home with us...we have not stopped talking about it since our return back home!

Thank you Margaret for sharing your home with us. Three couples spent a wonderful week at Etoile de Mer. we were met at the airport on time and then Dineesh showed us the house and all we needed to know about it. She and her staff were very attentive and responded quickly to a couple minor problems( needed extra beach chairs ) . The beaches are gorgeous and we walked a minute or two every day to our beach. Sunsets are incredible. We kayaked, played tennis, snorkeled , played golf. But most important, we relaxed at the house. The gazebo was my favorite place to curl up with a book. The house was clean and comfortable. We would all love to come back to Provo and I would stay at Etoile de Mer again. This is the quiet side and we loved it. I must comment on the negative review. We were the next people to stay after those folks. We never heard any rustling in the walls or had any security issues. Margaret has been very helpful and her instructions for the house were very thorough. She also sent an extensive list of things to do. I would definitely recommend this home. It would be a good place for families with children . This was a wonderful vacation.

Not an Idyllic Island vacation

We stayed at Etoile de Mer the week between Christmas and New Years and it will surely go down as a very memorable vacation. I would return to TCI in a heartbeat however I would not return to Etoile de Mer.The house is lovely with a nice outdoor pool if you don't want to walk to beautiful Taylor Bay just 100 yds away. The weather was magnificent and we enjoyed the time together with the family, 6 adults and 2 children.Unfortunately we experienced some issues that were downplayed by the owners as if we were whiners and complainers. My two main reasons for not returning are: 1) there was an attempted break in during our stay and I think it was related to tampering with the home security system. We returned from dinner one evening to find the alarm sounding and a slice in a screen in the window on the lower level. 2) there was a nocturnal animal(probably a rat) trapped in the walls and in scratched and clawed all night long for the entire week. The property manager did everything possible to bait and trap the creature but they were unsuccessful during our stay. Needless to say both events were quite unnerving and prevented us from having the idyllic island vacation we anticipated. When I emailed my concerns to the owner while we were on the property I was literally chastised as a complainer with no expression of concern, understanding or compassion for our predicament. The island is lovely, the water is beautiful. I would find somewhere else to stay if I were to return.

Owner response:I don't know why this renter chose to come to the Caribbean. His attitude from the moment he arrived was that it is unsafe, locals can't be trusted, and nothing would be up to his standards. The "attempted break in" didn't happen. There was a loose sensor which was pointed out to him but he wouldn't allow a repairman to come into the house and fix it. A worker with garden shears was accused of having a knife. The renter didn't believe the lockable closet was safe because someone could crash it in with a sledgehammer. The "rat in the walls" was a palm frond scraping against a rain gutter which he wouldn't allow anyone to cut. No rat was ever seen before, during, or after his stay.

Etoile de mer is a wonderfully confortable home located on the island of Provo. My family, 6 adults and 3 kids, stayed there Christmas 2011. The rooms are spacious, decorated beautifully, and the breezes are so refreshing. The owner of the home is great to work with, providing all kinds of useful information and making sure your stay is a pleasant. The pool is wonderful to swim and is surronded by lots of outdoor living space with a beautiful gazebo! The beach is a short 4 minute walk away and you may never want to leave. It is that gorgeous. Make sure you get some lobster from the fish monger. Also, the suggested restaurants were great. All and all, we had a great vacation.

Paradise

Our family had an incredible experience at this home. It is in the perfect location...just steps away from the beach ( THE best beach I have been to throughout the entire Caribbean and Mediterranean sea) it's private and stays cool during the day and night. It is a perfect house for entertaining...the kitchen and open windows to the patio and pool create a festive and fun atmosphere. The grounds of the home had beautiful vegetation and flowers -we felt like we were staying in our own compound. We all felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. The owners have done such an incredible job of making the house feel like a home, not a rental. There are a lot of small touches that make the house warm and inviting. All of the other vacation houses we've rented have lacked character and warmth and you could tell that not much care went into those houses. This was not the case at all with Etoile de Mer. Our stay lasted 7 days and we wish it would never end. We felt like we truly found paradise. We cannot wait to go back to Provo and we will stay at Etoile de Mer again without a doubt. I have already recommended the house to our friends and family and I would highly recommend this house to any potential future guests.

Your home was absolutely perfect for the age of our kids, the amount of people and its location. I wanted to stay permanently but could not figure out how my work would ever get done with such beautiful surroundings…..it wouldn’t!! Dinesh (property manager) was terrific help when we had a few questions and your place looked great and so clean. You should be very proud to have such a beautiful home in that location with people who obviously look out for your interests when you are not around. Everyone we met from the gentleman who brought us water to the guys who cleaned the pool were so nice and friendly. And the beach!!! How do you put up with all the people?! On the busiest day we counted 16 people other than us. We were almost crowded. It is amazing that you can sit on that beach and play in the water with kids and never even feel like you are sharing the area because you have so much space all to yourself. What a great location. Thank you for letting us enjoy a perfect 2 weeks in paradise at your lovely home, none of us will ever forget it.

Never have we been to a place where we had so many beautiful beaches to ourselves. They were spectacular - Bonefish Point, Pirates Cove. The sand and snorkeling were unforgettable. Your house is lovely and we enjoyed it very much. The kids especially loved the pool and the hammock.

(Sent upon return). Here in rainy Philadelphia we miss the beautiful blue skies and waters of Provo. We had a wonderful time. The house was so comfortable and beautifully equipped that we did not feel that we wanted for anything while we were there. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals, and the layout of the house worked out great for our family. The proximity of the house to the beach was great and the bay was so gorgeous and relaxing. The boys loved the pool and the beach equally, I believe. We were all able to relax and enjoy ourselves. We did some fantastic snorkeling in a couple of different locations. Our 12-year old tried scruba diving for the first time with dad in tow, and we had some fun meals around the island. Thank you so much for opening your home as you do for others to enjoy.

Really a beautiful home near the beach and tennis. My kids 7 / 5 / and 2 all loved the pool and the endless shallow white sand beach. The staff is excellent and really made us feel at home. It is close to the airport and travel to grocery, restaurants, etc. is very easy. It is also very quiet and relaxing as they are tucked in. A busy day at the beach was six other people there!

Our vacation at Etoile de Mer was spectacular. My husband, David, and I very much hope to return to EdM some day. We honeymooned at The Ocean Club over 14 years ago and this was our first time back on the island since then. It remains as magical a place as we remembered it to be. This time we were vacationing with my parents, my sister and her family and the house was PERFECTLY suited to our group. The pool being partially shaded is perfect and allowed us to all be together in and out of sun. The kitchen window made fixing meals, etc., so enjoyable as you felt like you were outside! And being a short walk from the beach was ideal. We can't wait to return!

Our visit was absolutely wonderful, from the beautiful blues of the water, the friendliness of everyone we met, to this fabulous house on Taylor Bay. Having teenagers with us, we especially appreciated that they could easily walk to the beach and the tennis court on their own, which gave them the independece they wanted and the rest my husband and I needed! The house is perfectly situated, close enough to be just a short walk away and yet secluded enough that we didn't feel like we were in view of all the visitors on the beach (and there weren't many, especially during the weekdays). We are already trying to figure out when we can get back on our own. We will definitely be visiting again and again!

Lots of family tennis, snorkeling, evenings in and out and lots of cards. We ventured over to Grace Bay/Coral Gardens one day and the kids loved the snorkeling. I walked down the beach to see some of the resorts and what craziness I witnessed - we have truly been experiencing Turks in the right way (at Taylor Bay). Your home is lovely - so comfortable. I love the view from the master bedroom - so pretty. From our daughter: This house is AWESOME! I love the pool and bedrooms - they are both amazing! Waking up to the warm sun, smelling the sea water, sauntering from the beautiful bedroom to the cozy hammock adjacent to the sparkling pool, palm trees all around, feeling a wave of relaxation and luxury. I recently was privileged to be a guest for a week at Etoile de Mer. Finishing a six-month series of chemotherapy treatments, I was looking for calmness, sunshine and fresh air. I found them all plus natural beauty. The house is lovingly kept, comfortable, convenient (each bedroom has its own bathroom), and open to letting the freshness of the outdoors in...or not. The grounds and pool are well maintained. Watching the palms swaying in the breeze like dancers' giant fans is really quite mesmerizing. And walking along the bay just yards from the house and listening to the water lap gently upon the white sands gave me the sense of well being and peace I was looking for. Of course, the usual resort activities are on the island for those looking for a more active vacation. But for me, Etoile de Mer was a perfect restorative haven, and I recommend it unhesitatingly as a vacation destination.

One of the Most Beautiful in the World

Our stay at Etoile de Mer was by far the best vacation we have ever had. We have traveled to several islands in the Caribbean. The beach at Sunset Bay has to be one of the most beautiful in the world. The entire family enjoyed the beach – from the children to the grandparents. The water was very calm and crystal clear. Most days, we were the only ones on the beach – it was nice to be away from the crowds typically found in the resort areas. The home was nicely furnished and very well stocked – there were plenty of extra linens, beach towels/chairs/umbrella, snorkel equipment, rafts and toys for the pool and even a kayak with life vests. We look forward to returning to Provo and Etoile de Mer again next year.

I must admit that being a first time user of VRBO I was a little sceptical; a web site that I have never used, an island that I have never been to, and a house that I only saw pictures of. It seemingly was all a little daunting, and my wife and I were a little nervous bringing our 3 year old and 6month old down to T&C. However once we contacted the owners via the website our trip was planned with ease. The owners were just a pleasure to deal with answering all of our questions via email with very little turn around time. Upon landing we were greeted by the property manager at the airport, who was more than willing to help us with all of our luggage and we rented a car, literally right across the road from the airport entrance about 40 ft and we were on our way within minutes leaving before the commercial tour buses even had left! The short 5 minute drive to the house was not an issue and we arrived there safely (although you do drive on the wrong side of the road there so be careful) and as we drove into the flower lined driveway our apprehension and our stresses from back home just melted away. The house was beautiful in every way, from the flower lined entrance, the tree lined terrace overlooking the water and the pool to the open air kitchen and breakfast nook where we spent most of our eating and napping time. The 3 bedrooms each had their own bathroom, which with young children wasn't really needed other than to get a face cloth however I can see that this would be a huge plus to larger families and larger groups. The upstairs master was just beautiful and with the light nightly winds blowing through the open shutters we never felt any need to use the air conditioning. During our stay we went grocery shopping at the local IGA which has all the "north american" food that you could ever want, stopped at the local fisherman's hut and picked up the catch of the day and never felt the need to really check out the rest of the island. As per the beautiful beach, I can say that after travelling Asia (Thailand, Philippians, Vietnam) with a backpack for 2 years, that beach might be one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and not only that we ran into only 2 other couples during our week at the house! The tennis court that was there right in front of the house was not used by us (or anyone during the week). I could go on about how much we loved the place but all I can say is that we will be back later this year with the family a year older and

Perfect, perfect, perfect, not much more to say. If you are looking for the perfect villa vacation you found it. We've been to many Carribean islands and always rented villa's. Etoile de Mer has been our best experience, exceeded all our expectations and provided everything to make our vacation perfect. The air conditioners are not required, the gentle breezes flow through the house making it feel perfectly tropical. We were met at the airport, escorted to the villa where Dinesh was waiting. She is an extremely deliteful person and very eager to help in any way possible. A 2 minute walk past the tennis courts takes you to one on the most beautiful secluded beaches I have ever been on, the sand is like baby powder. An easy 20 minute drive takes to a very nice IGA grocery store and many other shops. We fished for and caught sharks with Hook'em and Silver Deep charters. We went diving with Caicos Adventures, Filippe is a hoot, great story teller and nice dives too. We are planning our next visit, can't be too soon.

The architecture of Etoile lends itself to relaxation and serenity. We felt like it was our home. My family loved to float the day away in gorgeous Sunset Bay or relax under the gazebo, reading a book and dunking in the swimming pool. After touring the island, we definitely felt that Sunset Bay is the best location. The beach is the most gorgeous we have ever seen. The locals on Providenciales are outgoing and helpful. We will be back to Provo and Etoile de Mer, again and again.

Waking up to the warm sun, smelling the sea water, sauntering from the beautiful bedroom to the cozy hammock adjacent to the sparkling pool, palm trees all around, feeling a wave of relaxation and luxury. These are the comforts of Etoile de Mer. All of this and a high speed wireless connection are a city girl’s dream, an oasis just 3 hours from New York City. Thank you.

I just wanted to let you know that my group had a wonderful stay at Etoile. It was absolutely amazing! The house was perfect and you have thought of everything imaginable that we would need. We did a lot of cooking and didn't lack for one thing! The set up and location of the house were great. We loved the beach, played tennis almost everyday, and really just enjoyed ourselves. I want to go back already! Thanks again and hope to contact you in the future for another stay!

We absolutely loved our vacation at your villa! It was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had...and we still were busy. My husband and I, especially, really loved your house and if I ever had one in the Caribbean, it would be just like yours! We have a picture of your house on our cell phones...to remind us how beautiful it was. I really loved the layout of the house and the breezes were wonderful. I would come back every year if I could! We all loved the privacy of your community. The water was the most beautiful we have ever seen. I have to tell you one of my favorite things about your home. I loved cooking in your kitchen! With the windows open, I felt like I was still having fun outside! Cooking on vacation is something I don't always enjoy, because I feel like it is work. It didn't feel like that at Etoile de Mer. It is just a beautifully designed house. Your manager was really wonderful. She was very helpful and made us feel special. Thank you again for sharing your home with us....and your house really feels like a home! We definitely hope to go back. Hope your own vacation went well and you didn't work too hard! You deserve to enjoy the beauty and serenity of your villa.

My wife and I were married on the beach in front of Etoile de Mer in 2007. It was a very romantic holiday and we both thoroughly enjoyed the service, courtesy and creature comforts of Etoile de Mer. We would highly recommend this Villa and Provincials to anyone looking for a home away from home vacation on a very exclusive beach in the Caribbean.

We had the most wonderful time ever and the house was fabulous! We loved the pool, the screened porch, and the location! It was also wonderful having the tennis courts close by. Provo has changed a lot in the three years since we’ve visited, but definitely for the best. We will definitely let you know when we head back down that way.

So great to be in a well-designed house that works beautifully with the trade winds. No need for AC - hooray! We love your poolside gazebo. It's great for an afternoon snooze. And the kayaks! What a lovely home, location, feel. We had a great time.
