My family had a wonderful experience. I've never rented a more well stocked, well appointed house. My grandsons want to move in! The house was steps from the community pool and the beach. Cassi, our rental agent, answered my questions promptly and courteously. We had a small problem with the air conditioning over the weekend and she had someone there first thing Monday morning to take care of the problem. We'll definitely be back.

Our stay at Sandcastle in Water Sound was absolutely lovely, and we would definitely stay there again. For the last 30 years and more for my mom's generation, we have been traveling to this area for family beach vacations. Houses have definitely gotten fancier over the years, but so has crowding. The Seaside end of 30 A is so crowded now, it's a turn-off, but down at Water Sound one can recapture that Florida vacation feeling of old but in swankier surroundings. It's just far enough away to really escape the traffic at the other end. It feels secluded, but still only takes a few minutes to ride down to the busy end of 30A on the bikes that you can rent right in the neighborhood. We have always stayed in gulf front homes, and although this house wasn't right on the beach it had lovely views from the second floor rooms, lots of porches, and a great top floor viewing room. Water Sound makes up for not having houses smack on the beach by preserving the gorgeous and unique sand dunes. I honestly liked it better than being in the overly exposed homes that aren't protected by the dune buffer. It gave prettier views and you just walked out the door onto the boardwalk, crested the dune and were awarded with a vista of the water. They have built absolutely fabulous boardwalks that go up and over and down and around the dunes and around the neighborhood. It was beautiful. We spent as much time exploring the boardwalks and weaving through the lovely houses as we did walking on the beach. Also, the pool is very close to the house. It's big and attractive and has a burger restaurant in the perimeter. It's truly just steps away from the house, and the kids loved that as little ones always do love a pool! I didn't even mention the architecture. The house was lovely inside and out: wide-plank wood floors, and one room is prettier than the next. My only complaint is that all week in the second floor king-size bed, I felt like I was sleeping on a board. I had to triple the down comforter underneath me. I realized on the last night, that we had been sleeping on the under-side of the mattress, ouch! I was sleeping on a board basically! It didn't bother my husband : ) Otherwise, a fabulous trip in a great house, in a great neighborhood.

The house was beautiful and the location was wonderful. Its close proximity to the beach and the Dunesider pool was very convenient. The views from the third floor were amazing! The house was clean and well-maintained. Highly recommend!
