Moorings condo description
The Moorings and all of Orchid Island are a very special place nestled between the Atlantic and Intercoastal Waterway.
Our Condo is designed for getting away and enjoying the less tourist populated side of Florida. But many of our Guests either wish to stay in touch with family and friends or are involved in business or personal investing matters.
So we have added an additional high speed modum, a printer, scanner and color copier machine as well as free US and Europe phone service.
There are Fed Ex supplies and drop box just a few steps from the Condo.
But forgetting the productivity features our 2+2 Condo is a great place to call home while you enjoy the island. Set just fifty feet off Spyglass Harbor and renovated in 2011 the Condo is clean and uncluttered.
You will also have more usable space as our Condo has a screened Patio, allowing you to enjoy the best of Florida without the Pests of Florida. Only a few Harbor Inn Condos have this feature.

Our Condo is on the Harbor facing West with views of million dollar Sunsets and beautiful yachts. Manatees often lounge beside the docks nursing their young and a variety of wildlife visits the Harbor.
A ten minute walk or short hop by bicycle or car takes you to the Moorings private beach access where you can enjoy beach combing walks and early morning sunrises
Forty steps away is the heated Pool and Sun Deck where you can also cookout on the community grill.
A screened Patio with fan and No-seeun screen make for a great morning coffee break or a sunset toast.
Your stay at Vero can be as relaxing or busy as you want.
Vero has an Actor's Equity Theater, Art Museum, fine dining, an abundance of musical talent and more authors per square mile than anywhere! World class speakers include Vero on their lecture circuit and educational opportunities abound..
Or spend your time on the Beach or fishing, hiking and biking or visiting one of several Parks nearby.

And if there are any problems, we live 1/3 of a mile away and can respond quickly.
Using the 'Form follows Function' guideline and realizing that all of us age the professional renovation team did more than just make the place beautiful.
The first step was to promote good indoor air quality in a tropical climate by installing a new AC system with HEPA filtration.
We also continue the NO Pet & NO Smoking policies.
The dust catching 'popcorn' ceilings were stripped, skim coated and painted to have a smooth finish.
Hard surface flooring waa used for appearance and because it doesn't absorb moisture or collect dust.
All the paint used was low in VOC''s and has a smoother finish than typical Eggshell.
Both the front door and patio were fitted with NoSeeum screens to allow fresh air in without any unwanted guests.
The bathrooms we fitted with the higher toilets, taller vanities and easy to use faucets. The wide pocket doors into the Master Bath and the over-size shower make it easy to get around..
New appliances and granite countertops make for a easy to maintain, spotless Kitchen. A refrigerator with a bottom freezer puts everyday food items at the optimal height.
Our First Floor location and hard surface flooring are a plus for those tiried of climbing stairs.

We stayed at this unit for the month of March 2012 and were very pleased. The unit is like new, having just been renovated and the owner was a pleasure to deal with. The moorings facility in general is very well maintained and the people we met while staying there were all very pleasant. I have lots of allergies and I had no issues at all. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

There is a reason so many Island residents - many of whom could live anywhere in the world - choose Vero Beach. Harbor Inn has a culture that lets you enjoy whatever aspect of Vero suits you on any given day. They have a world class Country Club that serves as the hub of social activities as well as golf and tennis center. At the same time there are plenty of things to do for those of us more inclined to hike, bike 'beach' or fish. If you are into sailing or power boats there is a Marina and Yacht Club in the Moorings. There just aren't many places where you can beach comb in the morning, catch a Pompano for lunch and enjoy fine dining the same evening. Or decide instead to run up to Earl's for Blues at the local biker bar!. For us it's the Beach, the Parks and ever changing Harbor that keep us here. At last count - after four years here- we still had eighteen resturants we wanted to try.
