We found our apartment by sheer luck, possessing a rare balcony and view of the top of the Invalides dome -- it was love at first sight! We signed the papers on the spot for this delightful apartment, beating out two other buyers standing literally behind us.
Enter our charming apartment from the 5th floor with elevator. The apartment is 500 square feet and features a living room that can sleep two, a bedroom with queen-sized bed, and one and one half bathrooms. This stunning apartment is unbeatable because of the private terrace and view.
Step into the entryway leading to the living room/dining area and kitchen on your left. The sun-filled room features 3 sets of French doors onto a long terrace. You will find yourself drawn first and foremost to the sunny rooftop views. Step outside to a charming terrace with bench, round table and chairs – even an umbrella for sunny days.
The terrace offers rare views of the top of the Dome of the Invalides and the famous pedestrian street of rue Cler below. Rue Cler is one of the most famous market streets in Paris and features the best greengrocers, patisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops, butchers in Paris. You will love to step out for fresh croissants and baguettes every morning, still warm. Buy the Herald Tribune a few doors away and enjoy breakfast on the balcony.
In the evening, relax on the terrace with a glass of wine and classical music, watching the sun set over the rooftops and the Invalides Dome – where Napoleon is buried.
In the living room, find a long sofa that converts to 2separate single beds, very comfortable. Two arm chairs face the sofa and flat screen tv w/CNN, BBC,CNBC, dvd and stereo.
We provide free high speed internet so you can call home from your computer and even catch up on emails.
On the left side of the living room find dining table for four with chocolate brown leather chairs. Beyond the table is a row of closets.
On the far left wall is the newly built-in kitchen. White cabinets and worktops provide ample workspace. We have fully equipped the kitchen with a microwave/convection oven combination, four burner stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer,large refrigerator/freezer, dishes, toaster, cappuccino maker and filter coffee pot for your enjoyment every morning.
From the entryway, find the toilet immediately left with bedroom in front of you. This compact room features a queen-sized bed and closets on your left. The large bedroom window overlooks a quiet inner courtyard.
We are passionate about Paris and know it is infinitely better to stay in an apartment that overlooks rooftops, beautiful streets and monuments than to settle for a dark apartment on an inner courtyard, a euphemism for where the trash bins are stored. With Paris views from an exceptional apartment you will return with beautiful photographs and memories of a lifetime.
The en suite bathroom joins the bedroom, with bathtub/shower combination, sink and good cupboard space. It has been remodeled with pretty white and blue tiles and has good natural light from the large window.
The location on rue Cler is fantastic as you will love exploring and tasting at the many shops. Dine at home or at one of the chic new brasseries a few doors away. Get there early because even in winter, Parisians love to seat out and enjoy the sunshine.
Our guests tell us time and again that the views and locations of our apartments have given them wonderful memories for themselves and their children. Paris apartments in the best neighborhoods with great views cost significantly more to buy, but are worth every penny. Not only do you have a beautiful apartment, but you will enjoy wonderful meals with family and friends in our apartments. Dining ‘chez soi’ represent the biggest savings of all, because paying for three meals/day in Paris (yes hotels charge for simple breakfasts) can add up – especially when restaurants charge up to $10 for a bottle of Coke. When you shop local markets for dishes and fresh ingredients, you will save significantly -- and enjoy 3 star dining with views in our apartments.
The terrace, view, and location mean you will have a wonderful, relaxing and unforgettable stay in the City of Lights!
From David and Jurani Horne:
Just a quick note to let you know how much we are enjoying our stay in your lovely Syrah apartment. We loved everything, from the beautiful apartment and the view of the Dome of the Invalides from the balcony, to the wonderful neighborhood. Thank you so much for your very thoughtful arrival gifts and the warm welcome. Your team is so friendly and helpful! We really appreciate the kind gesture.
This area is perfect for walking to almost everything, even when braving freezing winds and snow. We've walked to everything, but also took a ride on the RER to get used to it. We love the neighborhood shops, and Rue Cler.
Thank you so much, David and Jerani Horne

Comments: What a wonderful stay we had in Madelyn and Philippe's apartment. It was a great location and so comfortable, especially the balcony and view over rue Cler! Thanks for all the fabulous tips and guides you provided to make our stay more enjoyable. We felt like Parisians for a week. The neighborhood was fabulous with the Rue Cler markets below; we toasted every evening on the balcony with wine and dishes from the shops below. Easy access to all our favorite sights and quiet enough to sleep well every night. We look forward to our next stay!
Merci bien,
Liz and Pete

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
We tried many Paris neighborhoods and the 7th arrondissement in Paris offered the best access to everything we love and enjoy! Step outside your apartment and enjoy café’ au lait on rue Cler on a sunny morning, stroll to Paris landmarks, museums and monuments, to world class shopping on the Right Bank, to the Orsay Museum, the Louvre, Rodin Museum, Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, Grand Palais, American Library. Take morning walks, picnics & bike rides in the Champs de Mars gardens, to romantic walks home along the river at sunset. It’s a beautiful old quartier near the romantic Seine that has maintained a village-like atmosphere, surrounded by bistros and shops so you can step outside and savor life. It's one of the safest arrondissements in Paris; it offers more open air markets than any arrondissement in Paris. It costs more to invest in the 7th, but to us, it is worth every penny. We greet our butcher, baker and local cheese specialist daily. They know what our favorite cheeses are and make favorite suggestions. They know the exact kind of baguette we want each day, not too brown and crusty for soft cheese. That is what we have been lucky enough to find in our neighborhood and we hope you’ll have a chance to enjoy the same special lifestyle.

My company transferred me from San Francisco to London for work, and it wasn’t long before I met my husband Philippe on a ski vacation. We were married and bought our first apartment in Paris where Philippe was working as a cardiac surgeon. Friends and family loved staying there for the fantastic location and views – walking distance to cafés, landmarks sights and wonderful shops. They loved the experience of living like a Parisian, shopping in the nearby open air markets for the freshest foods, buying warm baguettes next door, enjoying café au lait on the balcony, eating at affordable brasseries and restaurants that Parisians go to just around the corner. They asked if they could rent our pied-à-terre when we were away, and our Paris apartment rentals business was born! Philippe left medicine for business and we now commute between London and Paris on the Eurostar and have two great children who have French and American citizenship ... and who always point out my French grammar mistakes!

The apartment is lovely in a really nice neighborhood - I'd highly recommend this as a much better alternative to a standard hotel stay. There is every convenience needed both in the apartment as well as on the market street, Rue Clar, where it is located. As well the apartment is beautifully located for walking to many places and the metro is only a few blocks away. I would also say that the personal hand holding the staff at Paris Perfect does is very helpful; the owners are very thorough in terms of the information about staying in the city, and generous in sharing their knowledge; and finally the referrals provided by Paris Perfect for sightseeing, transfers, and other services are to excellent contacts. I can say this as we used many of them, and were delighted."

"The apartment was sparkling clean and had everything we would need. There were even some essentials in the refrigerator when we arrived. The neighborhood was just perfect - an outdoor market right out the door and restaurants right up the street!! We were very centrally located for sightseeing as well!! We will be back!!"

Staying at the Syrah on delightful Rue Cler was the perfect way for us to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The apt was the perfect size, had all the amenities we wanted/needed, a fabulous location - overall exceeding our expectations! The Paris Perfect staff was very accommodating - patiently answering all our questions, providing great suggestions and advice for our week in Paris. We also took their suggestion and hired Victor for transportation to/from the apartment - they were also great! Very professional, on time and saved us time, energy and many headaches! All in all - Paris Perfect was very instumental in making our special vacation "perfect"!

We could never imagine staying anywhere else while in Paris than at one of Paris Perfect's lovely apartments. The Syrah is at a fantastic location- literally above Rue Cler- every day a delight of fresh marketing and exploration of all the 7th has to offer. We will always return to Paris Perfect!"

Having stayed in several flats managed by other companies in Paris, I must admit that we were thoroughly surprised and enchanted by not only the Syrah flat and the fact that it was better than advertised on the website but also by the impeccable service we received during our stay. it usually is quite an ordeal to rent a flat in Paris but the ParisPerfect team made it seem like a walk in the park! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my "picky and demanding" friends who often travel to Paris. And of course, the best part of all: the Nespresso machine in the kitchen...that is quite the classy touch! Thank you again for making our stay thoroughly enjoyable

"I traveled to Paris with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had booked an apartment with Paris Perfect for our stay. I was a bit nervous as this was not only our first time in Paris, but our first time traveling abroad. The Paris Perfect team was so helpful and professional. The apartment exceeded our expectations; it was even nicer than depicted on the website and the local team had stocked it with a few niceties like coffee, milk, cookies and a bottle of wine! It was beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The location was fabulous and we felt very safe. We highly recommend Paris Perfect!! "

"Our second stay with ParisPerfect. As before, the amenities and quality of accomodation were outstanding. When you consider all the pluses, the expense is quite reasonable. Syrah has a wonderful location, very close to market shopping, metro stations, and many restaurants. On the other hand, on the top floor and with the windows closed, it is very quiet. We'll be back"

We stayed for 6 days in April. What a location! The suite was well appointed and perfect for 2 or perhaps a family with a small child. Rue Cler is an amazing introduction to the Paris lifestyle and close to sights and the Metro. The staff was helpful but not obtrusive and the apartment was properly equipped. We were in Europe for 3 weeks and this was the undoubted highlight. The Rive Gauche is the right area for us. (Sorry about the pun). We'll be back.
