My family and I enjoyed our stay in Dallas. It was our first time visiting and we will consider going back. The house was in great shape and had more space than needed. The back yard is huge and excellent for pets. There were many stores and restaurants close by to shop and eat. We had fun.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family had to find a place on short notice to attend a family funeral. The owner is pleasant to deal with and quick to respond. The house was very clean and spacious. It was so much nicer being in a home instead of a hotel room. The neighborhood was quiet yet close to town. If you like to ride bikes, you will enjoy the Silver Comet Trail. The access point is conveniently located to this house. The owner checked on us to make sure we arrived safely and to see if we had any questions regarding the house. He left his cell phone number so we could reach him at any time. The house was perfect for us and the check-in was easy. If you need a home in Dallas GA (close to Marietta), you will enjoy renting from this owner.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Can't express how much we enjoyed our stay in Marietta, GA. This was our 1st time vacationing in GA. The house was great; so glad we stayed in Marietta instead of in city; less noise/traffic yet reasonably close to all the Atlanta sites. Its a peaceful location w/a beautiful decor; plus its cozy and clean!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were in the area for a wedding - We wanted a place where we could all be together - this lovely home was just the right size! The master suite was comfortable & nice to be on the main level. Plenty of space throughout though would be very suitable for a couple looking for a get-away. Our host promptly answered all our questions from the initial contact until we headed home. If we have opportunity to be in the area again, we would look forward to the opportunity to stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Family of six stayed in this wonderful home, very clean, lots of room to spread out! Room with three twin beds for kids/teens and loft area with hide-a-bed, plus two more bedrooms with queen beds! Beautiful flowers & yard, quiet and peaceful neighborhood with amazing trail for walking/biking nearby! Kroger, Walmart, etc,,, all within in a short drive. Hospital 2 miles away (incase a child would need to go - as ours) Dishes for family of four, so plan on paper plates if larger family, but owner had kindly provided those in pantry. Overall - excellent accomodations, will recommend, would stay again. Owner very reachable and checked with us several times to be sure we were enjoying stay and left us personal note with cell phone number and fresh flowers on kitchen table to greet us! Five stars!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family spent a week in this house. We should point out that the house isn't in Marietta but Dallas. The highlight of our stay was the easy access to the Silver Comet trail and the bikes. We enjoyed daily bike-rides along the the trail, both east and west, providing plenty of new territory to explore and a view into the "back side" of rural Georgia. Dallas is a relatively small town, but had plenty of the amenities that one needs for a weeks vacation. The house was clean and beautiful and had everything we needed (except we never did find the can opener!) and the neighborhood was very quiet. The drive to Atlanta or the airport is a solid hour, mostly along Rt 6, a main road littered with strip malls and stop lights, but only 40 minutes to six flags over Georgia. We went to World of Coke and the Aquarium, which were great. The Tellus science museum in Cartersville was a pleasant 40 minute drive to the north, and worth the trip. All in all the house was relatively well located to main attractions while giving the feeling of not being near the city. The owner was accessible and checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was working out. The business part of the transaction went off without a hitch. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

About the owner: Our family has been active in sports and travel over the last thirty years with many successful trips down white water rivers along with many day and weekend trips bicycling on these rail-to-trail locations. We have an active insurance business and help people have fun while staying safe and financially secure. We love the outdoors but also know getting children involved in out door activity is difficult in today's technology enhanced world. Our Bike House offers a way to mix the two worlds and give your children a lifetime experience in alternative living and maybe future planning.
Why the Owner Chose Marietta:
This home was purchased after a 20 year love affair with the Silver Comet Trail and Bicycling in general. We found that traveling back and forth from our home to a location conducive to bike riding was exhausting, costly, polluting, and time consuming. We decided we would look for an affordable home that needed little work or attention. We found this great little place with a nice little dirt trail leading right from our door to our favorite recreational area.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We are always finding more and more cool things about our little hide-away in the woods just north of Atlanta. We can ride bicycles in either direction and never get tired of the scenery or the people that we meet. When you're self contained and non-confrontational you have a much greater chance of learning about your environment, your neighbors and others that enjoy your same passions and pursuits. If you ride bikes, run, walk, hike, roller blade, swim, enjoy history, like talking to trees or clouds, want to connect with yourself your family and relative or a stranger this place will keep your attention and will create a living memory that you can enjoy every year.
