Lake Overlook is just one cabin away from Lake Blue Ridge in a small, gated community, that is very convenient to shops and restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge. There is so much to do here or do nothing at all in this newly listed home. During the warm months, bring your boat, jet skis, or a canoe or rent them at the Marina nearby (less than two miles away). In the cool fall or winter months, you can go hiking, horseback riding, or biking, while enjoying a breathtaking view of the lake. There are many antique stores in and around downtown Blue Ridge that are fun to explore. There is an orchard nearby where you can pick your own strawberries and peaches in the summer and apples in the fall. At days end, come back to the cabin, play some pool, or soak your cares away in the hot tub on the upper deck overlooking the lake. Or sit on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet while watching the sunset. Afterwards, enjoy a good meal either home-cooked, or visit one of the many delicious restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge.
The main level features a nice open living area, open kitchen and dining space. There are two large bedrooms, each with king beds and spacious full bathrooms. The master bath has a huge tile shower with two showerheads and heated floors. The second bath has a jetted tub. In the loft, there are two full beds, a pool table and another full bath. A catwalk on this level takes you to the hot tub on the balcony overlooking the lake.
There are three flat-screened TVs connected to a basic cable system, and the house has wireless internet (WiFi). Dogs, preferably non-shedding, are welcome.
In addition, the house comes with a private double decker dock right on the lake for sunbathing or just relaxing while taking in the views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Nothing beats watching the stars from the upper level of the dock while sipping some wine. If you bring a boat, feel free to use the second slip to tie it in. The dock is great for fishing and/or swimming from it.
In town there is a very nice little theater (Blue Ridge Community Theater) that puts on contemporary plays throughout the year. (706-632-9223). Blue Ridge also boasts having one of the few drive-in movies in the state of Georgia. Many of their movies are kid-friendly.
The sunsets are incredible, so make your reservations soon for your Lake Blue Ridge get away!

We spent Christmas at Lake Overlook and I can't stop thinking about how much fun we had. The kids (teenagers) played pool and enjoyed the hot tub the entire time. The kitchen was perfectly appointed. The decor was great. It was clean (and my wife is big on clean). and the lake was an added bonus. The view was awesome. It is much bigger than it looks. The kids only came downstairs to eat so the adults had some time away. Everything was just great and I would definitely suggest this place for families with kids. Thanks Jon! Tell your parents thanks too! Merry ChristmasRecommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family enjoyed our stay over the Labor Day weekend very much! The house is very roomy and meticulously maintained by the owners. The kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of utensils and cooking ware that came in handy for preparing meals for our large family. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch or in the hot tub on the upper deck and taking in the view of the lake. It was nice to have the hot tub in an area with a roof overhead so that we could enjoy it even while it was raining outside. Our kids enjoyed the pool table in the loft and the very nice flat screen TV in the living room to watch all of the college football games. The proximity of the cabin to grocery stores and the downtown Blue Ridge area was a real plus. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a family getaway in the Blue Ridge area.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners.

We had a great time staying at the Lakehouse. The property and accomodations were everything that was expected. It is a well maintained property, and the layout of the house is perfect. We spent equal amounts of time in the kitchen, family room, deck and the dock. This a great place to spend valuable vacation time with friends and family at a fair price. Everyone enjoyed their stay.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.
Owner response: Delighted that the cabin and amenities met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back at a future date.
