This downtown apartment is a two bedroom, 1 bath unit that has been totally renovated with stainless appliances, hardwood floors, and slate tile. The open plan between kitchen and living room is great for entertaining. The comfortable living room includes a large flat-panel TV and a charming freestanding gas fireplace. There is a walk-in closet with a washer/dryer, and plenty of closet storage -- including shoe racks.
Our location is ideal in downtown Sandpoint, within walking distance of City Beach, the Marina, all the downtown restaurants, live music, wine bars, and shopping including outdoor gear shops, a bike shop, and lots of gift and antiques shops. In the summer, enjoy Sandpoint's lively farmer's market just down the street with live music, local produce and crafts.
Did you know Sandpoint has a free local bus? There's a stop only about a block away from our apartment, and you can ride the SPOT bus to the Schweitzer base for a ride to the village, stores in Ponderay, and anywhere else you'd want to go around the Sandpoint area. Access bike and walking paths right from the front door.
And while we offer a great location to walk or bike from, you'll also enjoy off-street parking for your own vehicle giving you freedom to get up to Schweitzer or access more remote hiking areas or day-trip locations.

We (two couples) stayed here for a weekend of skiing. Place was exactly as listed, everything has been very nicely upgraded, very clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. They even supplied fresh coffee beans, which was a nice touch! The location is hard to beat, right in the center of downtown Sandpoint. A minor downfall might be the second bedroom/office - although spacious, it only has a pullout couch. I understand however that likely due to it not having windows a bed cannot be placed in here.The pullout is new and clean, and somewhat improved by the mattress cover, but it's still a little uncomfortable for 2 adults.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Location was excellent, communication with the owner was excellent, queen bed in master bedroom was incredibly comfortable! My only suggestion would be to provide more blankets - we were cold, but am sure if I requested some, they owner would have provided them. The pull out couch was not very comfortable even with the mattress cover. It could use a pillow cover. Decor was wonderful!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

I recently stayed at Charles condo in Sandpoint for a skiing vacation at Schweitzer. The condo is as advertised and is in a fantastic location to discover downtown Sandpoint. There are numerous great restaurants within walking distance and Mick Duff's serves great beer after a day's skiing. Charles was very easy to deal with, i actually booked the condo the night before our 3 day stay. Charles was very responsive and we made arrangements very quickly.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The facility exceeded our expectations. It was centrally located, spacious, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean and equipped with high end linens and kitchen utensils. The presence of a dish washer and washer/dryer were nice touches. The bed in which my wife and I slept was very comfortable, the hide-a-bed used by my daughter and son-in-law was a little less so. We met the owners on the second day of our stay, they thoughtfully checked with us to ensure we had what we needed and were comfortable, also responded to our inquiries by providing some excellent suggestions about places we might go to dine, a very pleasant couple with whom we would have enjoyed spending more time. We appreciated being downtown just one block off the main drag, restaurants and shops were a short walk away, as were planning community activities that occurred during some evenings. Every accommodation (including home) has its negatives and this one was no exception, but none were concerning: a few light globes were burned out, no closet in the bedroom for hanging clothes, and the number of dishes in the kitchen was barely enough; the place was perfect for our party of four, although sharing the only bathroom did make for an interesting start at the beginning to each day; the presence of three thermostats was a bit of a head-scratcher but we figured it out; and the cypher lock on the front door is a bit quirky, it's easy to assume the push of a button has locked the door, when in fact some pushing and pulling is sometimes needed before the bolt actually shoots home. We enjoyed staying here very much and would not hesitate to stay again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I cannot say enough, first, about the owner of this propery. He was extremely informative, almost immediate in responding to any and all inquiries and more than helpful in addressing any issues that we had. The property is in a great location - steps away from adorable downtown Sandpoint. It was clean, comfortable and convenient to everything! This was a ski vacation for us and it only took about 20-25 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Sandpoint!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Will definitely stay here again! The location is perfect, the unit was very clean and we love the ski hill. A couple things that would be nice, there is no DVD player to watch your favorite ski vids, or a stereo. We stayed here with our family of four during our ski trip to Schweitzer. It's a short drive to the mountain and within walking distance to Starbucks, dining, shopping, and City Beach. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The owner was great to deal with and always quick to respond to any questions. Overall a great stay and I would definitely recommend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, sightseeing.

We were lucky enough to be able to book a summer stay in this ultra clean, updated, lovely condo. The location is the best for browsing about the town and close (very) to a number of respectable restaurants. The owners take special care to see that all your needs are there and ready to use and if you need anything special they are very quick to respond. Loved the washer and dryer, very comfy bed, and the couch you can melt into. If you are going to be here for the skiing you will enjoy coming back to take a quick shower or bath then enjoying the cozy fire in the free standing fireplace while sipping your hot chocolate. If you do decide to cook, the gas stainless range and the other upgraded kitchen appliance and supplies will make it a pleasure. Although, as I said ,there are many great restaurants close by that would be worth the tasteing! This condo is only a short walk away from some wonderful new creekside walking trails or you may just want sit on a bench and gaze at the beautiful lake.What ever your pleasure this quaint little area has much to give. We are going to spend another summer vacation in Sandpoint and are in great hopes that we will be able to book our stay here at the Elegant downtown condo. But, if people find out about it - it may be a bit of problem!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This summer my family of five stayed in this wonderful apartment in downtown Sandpoint. We had plenty of room for our three young daughters and for us. The location was wonderful, in walking distance to the beach and all of the downtown shops and restaurants. There is a few hiking trails that you can easily walk to for exercise as well. The apartment was clean and modern and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our experience and would recommend the apartment to anyone staying in Sandpoint!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

There's a reason this property is booked solid for the next year. It is beautifully appointed, centrally located, and the owners are exceptionally courteous and helpful. The pictures really don't do justice to the unit. We stayed here for a week while my husband skied and I relaxed. It was convenient to everything. There were several very nice restaurants within a few blocks, and eating in was also a pleasure. Just one block off Sandpoint's main street, it is convenient to almost everything. If/when we return to Sandpoint, we will certainly try to book into these accommodations, although I suspect there will be "no room at the inn" This has already become a very popular rental, and I expect it will only become more popular as more people stay here.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: My wife and I lived in this great apartment when we first moved to Sandpoint. it was once a restaurant and we completely refinished it to be a downtown metro-feel apartment that we could enjoy. It's close to great food and bars and it super comfortable. We loved being in the middle of everything downtown in this great small town! While we lived in the apartment while we re-finished our craftsman house in south Sandpoint. We moved here from Washington DC and before that - San Francisco. We'd love to have you as our guests!
