Enjoy this three bedroom, two bath home right on the water in the village of Elk Rapids. Combine the experience of a cozy, comfortable, fully furnished (right down to the beach towels), cottage filled with art and unique features, with a beautiful outdoor setting, all set up to make your vacation memorable.
On the main floor you will find a living room and dining room with a beautiful view of the water, plus a well-equipped 'ship's galley' kitchen with eat-in booth, a full bath with separate tub and shower, and a washer/dryer and a bedroom with a queen bed. On the upstairs floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with a double bed, both with access to the upstairs deck and the upstairs bath. Here you will also find a loft with convertible sofa bed, plus and 'art nook' and beading station.
A large deck surrounds the living and dining areas and is furnished with tables, chairs and grill for outdoor lounging and dining.
Walk out to the boat slip and swim deck and enjoy the expansive views of Elk Lake, and the beautiful sunsets. Or take your boat on a cruise, jump into a kayak for a serene paddle on the lake, sunbathe or jump into the water for a swim. You can watch the sunset, have a bonfire in the fire pit, roast marshmallows and hot dogs to close out your evenings.
This home is also conveniently located in the Village, and you can easily walk the board walk along the water into town to enjoy the shops, restaurants, theater, library, and all of the amenities of our beaches, marinas and parks.

About the owner: After a long career designing and developing training programs for corporations, I have 'almost' retired in the village where I spent my summer vacations.
Why the Owner Chose Elk Rapids:
My Mother and I bought this home when it was a 'boat shop.' The previous owner built a 30 foot sailboat in this house. My artist Mom updated it as her permanent residence. You cannot build a boat in it anymore, but the pattern for the sailboat remains on the upstairs wood floors.
