The pictures of this property on VRBO simply do not do it justice. My family and I were awestruck the minute we walked in! Our friends and family that visited us during the week were equally impressed. We are looking forward to our next stay at this property! THANK YOU again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

It's an ideal place for relaxing with a family and friends. The house is in perfect shape, it is well-maintained, all the necessities are there, and the owner is very courteous and easy to communicate with. The view from the deck is wonderful, and only birds' calls break the silence. I would highly recommend this property to my friends.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We were looking for a nice home in a quiet area with some good fishing and boy did we find it! We couldn't have been more pleased. The house was immaculate with beautiful comfortable furnishings and plenty of space for the six of us. There was a beautiful, well appointed kitchen to prepare all the fish we caught. The deck out back overlooks the lake where we spent several hours playing games and enjoying some cold drinks. There was a nice clearing on the path leading down to the lake with a fire pit and several adirondack style chairs to sit around the fire. We also got a lot of use out of the two boats and caught enough bass, crappie, and perch to provide us with a couple of meals as well as fish to take home. With only 5 houses around the lake, its like having your own private fishing or swimming hole. The owners were great to work with and even checked to see if everyting was ok. The location is nice and secluded yet the grocery store, Rite Aid, and a few small restaurants were only 10 minutes away. We look forward to going back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Have had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home a few times. It doesn't have an off season. Close enough to some cute towns so you don't feel isolated, but far enough off the beaten track to provide some much needed relaxation. In the winter skiing is a short drive away, ice fishing, hiking trails, snowball fights, or just a cup of coco by the beautiful fireplace. When it warms up the swimming is great and there is nothing like sunrise/sunset fishing to start and end your day. They are big and they are biting! I give it five stars. It's in excellent condition and has high end finishing while maintaining the country house feel.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: THANK YOU VERY MUCH ZACH

What a place !! Having always gone to the Catskills and staying in trailer parks or hotels, I always felt on the run. Always eating out or looking for somewhere else to be. Never really enjoying the place I was renting. Staying here was an entirely different experience. Having the lake right there really made it easy. Swimming or fishing, I love them both. The house was great !! Beautiful !! The kitchen set up is all new and so eating in was no problem. With all the Farmers Markets around even shopping was fun. I love the area and being located in the middle of it all was great but having such a comfortable place to come home to really helped me relax and that's why I go on vacation in the first place. My wife usually has a difficult time sleeping in beds not our own but she slept fine in the bed we had, me too. Being a book collector and having the town of Hobart near by was really a high point for me also. Five used and rare book stores all on the same block. Heaven !!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: THANKS ED

I have had the pleasure of staying at this house. It is everything you would want in a lakeside county Chateau. The lake was great to swim in and I cought pleanty of nice largemouth and smallmouth bass. I released all of them so there are still there! House was very clean and the owners were great to deal with. I'll be staying there again in the near future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: THANK YOU DAN
