  The apartment was just as we'd expected: clean, functional and lovely. The location is perfect for enjoying the peacefulness of Santa Cruz's cliffs while being close enough to town to bike instead of drive. Those wanting to surf at Cowells will be happy to be able to avoid having to load-up: you just tip toe right across the street and down the steps and you're wet! We liked being able to use the bikes and keep our own food for the week - both cut way down on costs. We can't wait to return. Thank you.

  We stayed at the Casita while checking out the Santa Cruz area for our future move and could not have asked for a better location! We were woken each morning by the sun coming up over the bay and the sounds of sea lions barking under the wharf. We were able to walk to the wharf, the boardwalk and the shops nearby. We spent our days in the sun and were able to catch a quick cab ride to nearby nightlife. The place was clean and had a very modern feel to it and it was amazing to also be able to sit on the deck and watch the surfers and sailboats out on the water. We had everything we needed at our fingertips including beach towels to carry to the beach and a wine bottle opener to open some local wine.

  Casita Feliz means happy house in English. You will sure be happy at this beach house! I initially glossed over the listing since apartment was in the title and I immediately thought of high density accommodations. Being familiar with Santa Cruz and the location, I read the complete listing and was sold. The apartment is a separate luxury guest house or villa behind "the big house". The 1 bedroom guest house is spacious and private. It is well appointed with hardwood floors throughout, tile bathroom, bedroom, family room and a well-stocked, full size kitchen. The furnishings were comfortable and functional. The family room and bedroom had access to a small deck with a sitting area that provided a front seat ocean view. The "big house" and guest house are in a picture book setting with the gorgeous, lush landscaping with the ocean as the nearby back drop. The location of Casita Feliz is priceless! All within easy walking distance (with a toddler in tow) is a swimmable beach with lifeguards, surfing at Cowells, the Dream Inn, the wharf, boardwalk and lighthouse. We are in frequently in Santa Cruz and look forward to staying at Casita Feliz again.

  The location is great, within walking distance to the boardwalk and public beaches. Very small place, good for family with small children. Clean and convenient. Everything we needed and the bikes were a nice extra. A good deal considering its location.

  Every morning we woke to the sound of seals. It was fantastic. We were so close to the ocean and to the Boardwalk and Wharf in Santa Cruz that we could walk everywhere we wanted to. The view of the ocean was spectacular. Waking up to the ocean every morning was great. The place was clean and cozy. The perfect spot for a California mini-vacation.

  We spent four nights here to coincide with the Wharf-to-Wharf run. It was perfect--great location within walking distance from Steamer Lane, the Surf Museum and the Boardwalk. Bright and sunny, with a view of the bay from the living room and deck. Big, comfy bed. The bikes were a nice added touch--we rode to the Farmers Market on Saturday morning and cruised up and down West Cliff Drive several times. All in all a lovely, relaxing place to stay.

  (From the guest book) The stay was great. Wish the weather was better. Your cottage is very comfortable and the bed was very soft and cozy. We were in a surf contest, the 25th annual Longboard Invitation. My husband didnt place but we won a surfboard! Yeah! coming back soon, thanks a lot for everything!
