  My family stayed here for a week, and had a fantastic visit. This was a great “home base” while in the USVIs. Traveled there with my wife and 6-yr old son. We loved having the beach right outside the sliding doors. It was a definite plus to have a patio to play games on, have morning coffee, or eat a meal. Sapphire Beach was beautiful and is where we spent most of our time. The beach got a bit crowded on Tuesday and Wednesday, but apparently that’s the norm when you have 5+ cruise ships in port. This was really no big deal (made for good people watching)…the other days were very tame. One afternoon we rented a kayak and saw a sea turtle and octopus about 50 yards off shore. We rented a car for the week, which allowed us to explore the island, go out for meals, or visit the Food Center (just past Red Hook) for groceries. We spent two days at Magens Bay beach, which may be the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen. Also took the car ferry to St. John and spent most of the day at Cinnamon Bay, another beautiful spot. The condo has been nicely remodeled and was very comfortable for three. There was snorkeling equipment in the unit as well as a few beach toys. Juliet and Bernadette were very accommodating and responsive throughout the booking process and were quick to answer questions while we were there. Having a rum punch “starter set” waiting for us in the fridge was a nice touch.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

  We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort and Marina for 7 nights and had a fantastic vacation. The beach is beautiful and it helped that we had perfect weather the whole time. The condo was exactly as advertised, clean, and newly renovated. Being on the first floor was perfect as we could walk out to the ocean each morning and go for a swim or just enjoy the sunshine. The snorkeling in front of the condo was pretty good. You would see more fish as you went closer to the rocky point near the middle of the resort. Juliet was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. She even left a small bottle of rum and orange juice in the refridgerator to start our vacation off right. During the week, we decided to take a day trip to the beaches on St. John and asked Juliet if she had a small cooler for us to use. She promptly had one dropped off which worked perfect to bring some snacks and pop for the day. The location of the resort is only a mile from Red Hook and we had no problem catching a cab back and forth each time we wanted to go into town. Although there is no restaurant on site, there is a restaurant just next door at the Sapphire Village where you could get a good sandwich and drinks. They even had live music Thursday through Sunday. Overall it was a great trip and I would highly recommend this condo for anyone looking for nice quiet relaxing vacation on St. Thomas.

  My wife and I recently stayed here for our spring break and had a very good experience overall. We had to make last minute arrangements since our cruise was cancelled and Juliet was very helpful in getting us our room. The view is great and the room has easy access to the beach and the activity shack is really close to where you can rent snorkels, kayaks, and other equipment. One morning at 8am we were told by the snorkel shack to go straight out about 50 yards into the ocean and we could see turtles. Sure enough we saw 10 turtles that morning! There are nice reefs around there to. Red hook is so close and you can take a safari for 1$ per person and get there in 5 minutes for good dinners and the ferry to go to St. John or take one of the day excursions to British Virgin Islands (BVI) we recommend Bad Kitty. As for the room there is everything you need for a small kitchen and can make some meals because eating out every day can add up. Overall we had a great experience and would visit again.

They were very anxious to start, as their cruise was cancelled, out of San Juan.But he called me; arrangements & payment were made in 24 hours. So happy they enjoyed our wonderful rental. Location is very convenient, easy access to beach and Red Hook, as well a this is the only resort with a marina, for boating activities.
