House is very comfortable and clean. Patio has plenty of furniture and large shade umbrella. Very quiet area with plenty of privacy. Plenty of room for your dog to roam around. Lake was way down so not very easy to access the lake shore as it was muddy and rocky. Kitchen had plenty of storage space for food and prep area and even has a dishwasher. The house is nicer than the photos and well maintained. The owner is very nice and nearby if you need anything. We had a boat moored at Antler's which is a short drive from the house, so access to the lake was not a problem. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend to friends and/or family. We would rent this house again.

Clean comfy home
Home was very comfortable, clean and well stocked with all the necessities. Kitchen was large with plenty of storage room for food and a long counter for food prep. Washer and dryer were great to have. Deck was very enjoyable with nice furniture and shade for evening dinner. Nice wooded lot with plenty of privacy and a close walk down to the lake. All in all a very good deal and a pleasant stay. Owner lives nearby and is very accomodating and helpful.

About the owner: Now retired, I enjoy the activity of the lake by day and the serenity of the lake in the evenings. The neighbors and merchants of this small resort community have a strong bond that endures during our long winter, and blossoms during the summer.
Why the Owner Chose Lakehead:
The village of Lakehead is one of the few locations that offers such convenient access to the lake. And there are several small businesses that provide for common needs so you don't have to drive into Redding for routine suppllies. This property is best suited for smaller groups.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This vacation home is relatively private, located on a wooded 1/2 acre. Besides being a short walk to the water, there is ample chance to experience wild life just outside the door. It is often the case on many afternoons to see deer snacking on the landscaping. And the birds provide their entertainment as well. The neighborhood is well suited for an evening walk with the dog. Please remember there is a leash law in Shasta County.
