  We had a truly wonderful time at this house. The kitchen was stocked with all of the pots, pans, utensils, that you could possibly need. Everything was spotless and there is a TON of beds and spots for people to sleep. The water was as warm as bathwater the entire time. While it was shallow (about 4 ft at the end of the dock), we did not bring a boat so it was perfect to float around in. The shallow water is perfect for families with young children! We loved that the inlet was so quiet. It did rain a few days out of our stay, but with the covered porch off of the basement and the large living room we were able to rest up and play board games. The Food Lion was only 10 minutes away (we thought that was really close, as we have been driving 45 minutes to a grocery store at our previous rental) and a gas station was just 5 minutes away (a bit more pricey, but you pay for convenience). We cannot thank you enough for letting us stay at your paradise!

• Nice house....shallow water

  My family and I stayed at this house for our yearly vacation to the lake. The house is very nice, clean, nice beds, good for a large group or family. The kitchen is well-stocked. Our problems were: lack of communication with the renter (slow to respond to emails & requests), the constant calls from a collection agency on the house phone, and the depth of the water at the dock. We brought our boat and were told that the water was 4-5 ft---which it may have been if were weren't in the middle of a drought. The water was more on the 4 ft side, maybe even as low as 3.5. It was not deep enough for our boat, as we kept dredging up mud every time we tried to leave the cove. There are also stumps near the dock, so you must be weary of that when trying to park/tie up. House is probably 10-12 minutes from the public boat ramp, as well as the Food Lion shopping center. Overall, the house was nice, but, since the dock/water can not accommodate our 22' boat, we won't be able to rent this place again.

  Wonderful vacation on the Lake. House had plenty of room & everything you needed. Very clean and well kept. Would absolutely return again !!

  Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lake house. We had an AMAZING time there. No need to go anywhere after doing the groceries run. We rented a boat and a jetski at the marina and spent the days in the water. Completely took in that lake living lifestyle. In the afternoon the girls had a blast catching catfish from the dock behind the house. Inside we completely felt at home!!! Stayed up late and slept in in the mornings. The kitchen's fully stocked, the wi-fi worked great, spacious rooms, board games for the kids, etc. Everything we needed! We're most definitely coming back!!!!!

  My husband and I were looking to get out of the city for the weekend and this was perfect. The home was very cool. The inside was spacious and clean. The rooms were huge and the jetted tub was nice for relaxing. We spent the majority of the time on the porch off of the kitchen because the weather was so nice. Thanks for the stay!

  Steve and Shelia, Wow! What a great 5 days we spent at your lake front home. It was the first time my wife and I really didn’t want to go home. Having 3 daughters all in middle and high school, we don’t get the opportunity to take trips as many are usually too expensive. You both offered up your home at a very reasonable price which allowed us to take the first trip in several years. Thank You both again! Blessings Jeff

  This property has every thing one looks for in the lake experience. All the comforts of home with loads of things to do to keep you busy or just relax and chill.
