Loved This Home!
Loved This Home!
Our family has stayed in several homes on the beach along the Oregon coast over the past 10 years. As our family grew it was difficult to find a home large enough that could fit all of us and would accept our four legged family members. This home by far was the nicest place we've stayed. It's right on the beach, so in just a few steps you're there. The unobstructed view of the ocean and Castle Rock is beautiful! Beachcoming, morning runs on the beach, kite flying, just spending the day playing on the beach, watching beautiful sunsets as well as pouring rain were enjoyed by all. The home was clean and ready for us. The kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Plenty of seating at the table, although got a little cozy with 12 and a highchair. Plenty of room for sleeping with four bedrooms and the family room fold out. If we needed anything, stores in Cannon Beach and Manzanita weren't far away. The communications with the owner were very friendly and questions answered quickly. It was just a great experience all around. In viewing the calendar for next year obviously others have loved this home too as it's booked almost all year. Hopefully we'll find a time available another year so we can come back again. Thank you Michele for sharing your beautiful home with us. We had the best time!

This is the 2nd time my family stayed at The Pelican. We live, love, love this house and location! It fits our family if 6 and 3 dogs perfectly. We would be back next summer, but it is already booked. We want to make our stay at the house an annual event. It will feel very strange not being there next summer!

Our stay at the Pelican was wonderful, we had a full house, however the house was more than large enough to accommodate all of us. We enjoyed getting up in the morning and having coffee out of the deck as well as drinking wine watching spectacular sunsets. The house is well appointed and very comfortable, we felt like we were at home the minute we walked in. the beds were SO comfortable!!! The house was clean and as described, we did have an issue with the sink while we were there which was responded to and repaired the same day we called it in. I would recommend this property to anyone and everyone I know!!! This home is so perfectly situated, we spent tons of time down on the beach playing in the tide pools, walked down to Hug Point State Park and played in the caves there, went to Cannon Beach and collected Sand Dollars, dinner at Wayfarer's restaurant, watching seals from the deck and on our last day there got to go clamming right out in front of the house!

Very enjoyable stay!!
Very enjoyable stay!!
Our three families and three dogs all had a fantastic week with the majority of our time spent on the beach or at the property itself. Lots of space for all of us to spread out. Was also a good location to do daytrips from.

Review of Pelican Arch
Review of Pelican Arch
An absolutely stunning place, well worth the price. High-tech gadgets to please a 13-year-old boy and the kitchen that pleased a London foodie. Fantastic living space for a large family. The house is a bit tight for a powerchair, and the gravel on the driveway a bit loose, but overall an incredible place for a wheelchair user.

March 2013 family get together
March 2013 family get together
Our family of 9 adults, a 2 month old baby, and a small dog all met in Cannon Beach for 3 nights 4 days to celebrate 3 functions. A 2nd wedding anniversary; and big 60 birthday, and a family memorial for an aunt that passed away in February. This was the most awesome place to do all of these things. This home was perfect in all ways. We all had enough space to spread out. The beach and views were perfect for long runs and just sitting on the deck taking in the sights. The kitchen was perfect - equipped with all things one would need. The washer and dryer were used daily. Bathrooms also were well equipped. The only small detail we would suggest to the owner is the bar b que - it does need some cleaning attention. We would highly recommend this place to all. We have even discussed coming back every year. Please consider this awesome place - I do not believe you will be disappointed.

Outstanding accommodations. Wonderful view. The weather was great too. Could have used a few more dish cloths and towels, but otherwise great. Hope to use again!

An Awesome Beach House
An Awesome Beach House
I rented the house for 5 nights and, unbelievably, the weather was absolutely perfect the whole time allowing for many beach walks and lovely sunsets. There were six ladies and all had comfortable beds and lots of room in the large living area. We cooked all our meals in the large, well equipped kitchen as it was so nice there, no one wanted to go out!! The lighting was a little complicated but we had an engineer in the group who eventually figured it all out! Thanks for the dog gifts and equipment. First time for Charlie at the beach and he loved every minute of it!! The house was immaculate on our arrival. Only suggestions would be several more dish towels and table lamps in the living area. I would definitely recommend your home to anyone and hope to come back one day myself. Nancie Owens, Sisters, Oregon.

What a wonderful way to spend Christmas with our family. We had a total of 5 families and plenty of room and beds for all. The view was fantastic, as were the accomodations. We can't wait to go back!

This is a beautiful house in a perfect location The views are spectacular!. We spent a lot of time watching the moonlight on the water. The mountain views from the front deck are great as well. The beach is just steps from the deck, and great for beach combing at low tide. It's also a perfect beach for long walks. We built sand castles and played in the (chilly) surf. We had 13 people (including small children) and plenty of space for everyone. The home's interior is beautiful, the bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen makes cooking a pleasure, and the sitting room's views make this a dream home. The owner did a great job of communicating about any questions or concerns. I hope to visit again!

About the owner: This is a home that had been our family for a while and we wanted to enjoy it for years to come. We love to visit as a family with our little dog and just sit around and relax. We love the winter storms, watching those wild clouds come across the Pacific. We love exploring the beach, taking the morning to walk up and down, looking for perfect sand dollars. We love waiting for a really low tide, so we can get to the next beach south. We love to eat out, we love to eat in, we love sleeping and waking to the sound of the surf.
