Welcome to Nanmark (formerly known as the Crow’s Nest). This ocean view home is perched just above town and has one of Stonington’s most spectacular views. This home is one of the most painted and photographed around (Even gracing the cover of Downeast Magazine a time or two!) Nanmark’s location is ideal for those that want to be within walking distance to Stonington’s restaurants, galleries, novelty shops, Isle Au Haut ferry services and the Opera House where you can catch movies on the weekends and a variety of different concerts and plays on weeknights.
Nanmark offers four bedrooms as well as a private one bedroom efficiency apartment on the lower level. The main level of the home offers a large, well equipped kitchen and living area with leather furniture that makes harbor or television viewing pleasant and comfortable. The living room area has sliding glass doors that open to a large deck that serves as a lovely viewing platform. The deck is equipped with outdoor furniture and a retractable awning for those hot afternoons, when a shady retreat is appreciated. The first floor also has a queen size bedroom and a three quarter bathroom.
Upstairs, there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a full-size bed and enjoys views of the harbor. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds. This room also looks out over the Stonington thoroughfare. The Third bedroom offers a queen-size bed and a large closet. There is also a large full bathroom on the second floor. The hall that joins theses rooms is graced with a large skylight, offering yet another wonderful water view.
The lower level of Nanmark serves as a private apartment complete with a kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom/living area. The apartment has sliding doors that lead out onto a second deck area that also enjoys incredible Stonington harbor views.
Nanmark is a historic home, located on the remarkable, cascading hillside of Stonington Village. You’ll not be disappointed with this terrific vacation destination.
