This 3 bedroom 21/2 bath home has a full kitchen, double office, laundry room, large living room. This home has a large Hikie'e (immovable couch) that sleeps as many that land on it. You never want to leave it once you have meet its comfort zones. There is an active 'gentleman's vegetable garden presently being cultivated.
This home is located on the friendly loop of Lanikai.
"The Loop" as it is notoriously known engages, young mothers and prams, Segways, bicycles, skateboarders, in-line skaters, runners and brisk to strolling walkers. As it has been heard, "What happens in Kailua stays in Kailua... What happens in Lanikai goes around the Loop!"
The front deck is situated directly above to view all this action. Early morning coffee with buttery pastries, to sunset refreshments. The ocean and Mokulua Islands (Moku & Manu) are viewed from here, just up above the street enough allows you to retain your privacy.
There are all the makings of your home conveniences. We do have air beds upon request as well as futons for those wanting that true 'airbnb' experience. This is a new listing so what isn't available in the moment, there is a resident manager on sight available to accommodate your needs.
Lanikai Beach is across the street, Lanikai Beach Park is 2 blocks away with swings, jungle gym, basketball court, theater and our famous Lanikai Canoe Club outriggers. Kalapawai Market is a walk around the loop for that fresh brew, refreshments and local flavors. Kailua Beach Park for windsurfing, kite sailing, kayaking and stand-up paddle board rentals or just to engage in all the activities, and Buzz's Steak House. Kailua Town is approximately 2 miles away, where you will find your familiar haunts (Safeway, CVS, Starbucks) but we encourage you to try our local businesses as well. There are bikes in town to rent or upon request, we may be able to muster up a few.
Other amenities include cable, internet, 2 car parking, gas BBQ, TV and audio. No current iPod player:-(

We rented this beautiful home for a week. If your looking for a quiet place with a great beach this is it! We enjoyed the home, back yard, BBQ area and jacuzzi. It's a 3 minute walk at most to the most beautiful beach. Tekla the owner has thought of everything...beach towels, mats, coolers, beach chairs and access to bikes which we rode into town. Lanikai is like no other you will not be disappointed! The home has a great layout plenty of room for everyone. The decor is simple, clean and fun. The breeze that flows through this house is amazing. There are plenty of windows throughout the home and great ceiling fans. We rent homes from VRBO all the time. This by far is my favorite! We will definately be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Aloha! A greeting with true meaning. It took raising my own children and the neighborhoods' to appreciate and respect the meaning of Aloha. If Aloha was global... the world would be in better shape. Our family has lived in Lanikai, Kailua on Oahu for 23 years. We are transplants from the San Francisco Bay Area and have raised 2 Kamaainas (children of the land) in this home. We love our community and look forward to visitors wanting a connection with the community that surrounds. We feel fortunate to be residents, we hope our guests will feel a part of the spirit and garner the respect that we have acquired from appreciating our fortune to live in such a heavenly place. The night sky from the spa will comfort you and the morning sunrise will tease your senses. Aloha Kakou!
