You won't be disappointed!! This executive cottage, about 2500 sq.ft. is just 2 years old situated on 42 prestine acres on beautiful Lake Joseph in Port Carling. The villa has a fabulous view of the lake with 800 feet of natural sandy shallow beach great for children of all ages,also has large dock for a boat or just lounging in the attached gazebo. Kayaks, canoes, water volleyball, fishing, large new sports court for ball hockey, volleyball or basketball, tennis courts, gym, spa by appointment, saunas, large theatre room in the community centre,large firepit and shared hot tub are just some of the wonderful amenities at your disposal. The exceptional villa hosts a gas fireplace in the master bedroom with a very large ensuite bath and balcony overlooking beautiful Lake Joseph, second bedroom has two queen size beds and third bedroom has a pullout so can double as an office if required. Each bedroom has it's own private bath with an additional guest bath on the main floor. There is a fabulous two story fireplace in the main living area with a leather pull out sofa for additional sleeping and a beautifully appointed sun room overlooking the lake front. The villa is everything you would want in a villa/cottage.

Serene, picturesque, exquisite - only a few words that barely begin to describe our stay at this corner unit at The Muskokan resort! We enjoyed our week immensely, indulging in the condo's warmth of the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, luxuriant leather sofas that you sink effortlessly into with a glass of wine and a good book, and hibernating in the oh-so-amazingly-comfortable king bed with the boudoir fireplace adding a perfect ambiance. This condo is finished in high-end EVERYTHING and is one of the units closest to the water's edge: perfect for greeting the sun rising over the lake, walking the (frozen) beach and enjoying the privacy of an end unit without any neighbours interrupting the scenery. The resort itself had everything we could think of, including trail maps for snowshoeing or cross-country skiiing, a rink located just off the beach for those long-forgotten skating experiences, a very scenic dock from which to survey Lake Joseph, a beachfront campfire area (yes, even in winter!) and a communal hot tub and sauna that felt truly exquisite after a day of hiking through the beautiful Muskoka woodlands. Small things like the garbage being picked up every morning and the midweek cleaning and linen restocking of the unit set this place apart from any others that we've been to. The attention to detail, from the perfect set-up of the pool table and library areas of the clubhouse to the stacks of firewood ready to go at the campfire site, to the maintenance of walkways and ammenities really helped us feel as though we were in a very special place! The innkeepers were congenial and were most assistive in helping us plan our days. We can't wait to return to "the good life!"Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you for the review. You are certainlyt correct it is an upscale property with all immenities. It is a great location in Northern Ontario and and very familyt friendly. We enjoy the facility each year with our entire family. The spring,fall and winter season are great for all sports like fishing, skating and golfing or its a great place to sit back with the fire enjoy a good book and relaxe and unwind. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope you will return. If our home is occupied on your requested week let us know and we may be able to assist you with another unit.
