Woods Pond in Bridgton is a wonderful place for you and your family/ friends to spend your summer, fall or winter vacation. Leaf peeping in the fall, skiing in the winter (we are only 8 miles from Shawnee Peak) and lake fun in the summer!
A perfect Maine vacation awaits you! Relax on the deck while watching your kids play on the cedar play set, or join them in the water for some kayaking or canoeing. Down closer to the water we have a second deck where you can enjoy the serenity of the lake, or laze about on the nearby hammock. We have a float w/stairs further out from the dock for deeper swimming, extra rafts and tubes to play on, or you can gently get into the water via the stairs off the dock. For a change, head down to the town beach which is only a 10 minute walk.
Our lake front home is well appointed with three very comfortable bedrooms, the biggest being the master suite upstairs that has a king bed, a couch with a queen pull out bed, and a fantastic view of the lake.The pyramid bunk in the second upstairs bedroom is perfect for the kids, and family or guests will enjoy the downstairs bedroom with two twin beds. Prepare your Maine lobster dinner in the well appointed kitchen, or grill out on the deck while listening to the ducks and fabulous loons. Finish off the day making s'mores or enjoying a cocktail down at the stone fire pit.
There is so much to do in the area: enjoy a morning of blueberry picking (only 15 mins away) or head to the quaint town of Bridgton for some shopping or antiquing, or visit the fabulous new movie theater, The Magic Lantern. With our central location, you can take a day trip to Portland (1 hour), take in a baseball game with the Portland Sea Dogs or head to North Conway (45 mins) to shop the outlet malls or spend the day at Storyland.
