On May 16 we finished construction of a 12x12 deck adjoining our waterfall. A stacked stone Gas Fire Pit is located on the deck. We have low level lighting on the deck for night time enjoyment. I will post a picture of the deck very soon.

You’ll also find a home theater room with a 58-inch TV—the perfect place to watch Netflix (it’s complimentary) or the big game. The NFL Sunday Ticket package, the ESPN College Game Plan package, and the DirecTV HD Sports package are all included with the cabin.
Both bedrooms have in-suite bathrooms, king-size beds with pillow top mattresses, and private decks. The master bedroom, which is located in the loft on the third floor, also has a Jacuzzi tub.
The view from both decks is incredible—you’ll see nothing but the valley and the Smoky Mountains. The second-story deck is also a great place to hang out; there is a six-person hot tub in which you can enjoy the spectacular views all year long.

It is Secluded and nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains with a Spectacular View of Beautiful Wears Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains. This Cabin is richly decorated and offers a Breathtaking View overlooking the Valley and layered Smoky Mountains! You won't find a more breathtaking view. The Den features a Cathedral Ceiling rising to the Loft area, with Large Picture Windows to allow full access to the Spectacular Smoky Mountain Views, an attractive Stacked Stone Gas Fireplace, a Leather Sleeper Sofa with matching Love Seat, and Chair provided for your comfort.
The Den has a 40 inch LCD HDTV above the Fireplace, Blu-ray DVD Player with Google TV, 5.1 Surround Sound System, DirecTV High Definition programming, NFL Sunday Ticket, ESPN College Game Plan package, and DirecTV Sports Package. You can watch any NFL game with the NFL Sunday Ticket Package on DirecTV. The ESPN College Game Plan gives you 12 different college games to choose from every Saturday during the college football season.
Each of the 2 Bedrooms has a King Size Bed with Plush Pillow Top Mattress, matching Dressers, Nightstands, and a Ceiling Fan. We recently stayed at this cabin for a week with our 2 kids - ages 13 and 9. We enjoyed this cabin so much! It was the perfect place for us to stay. At the end of a day of sightseeing we were just as excited to go back to the cabin as we were to go out that morning. It was very clean with comfortable furniture and everything we possibly could have needed. We had one day where it rained all day and I was actually glad to stay in. The gas fireplace makes it extra cozy. With the game room, hot tub and excellent movie/tv selection, not once did I heard "I'm bored" from anyone. The owners were great at communicating and everything went very smoothly thanks to their easy and detailed instructions. It is very private but just a short drive to a ton of sights/attractions. My husband, eight year old son and I spent a long weekend at the cabin. A good time was had by all. The cabin was beautifully decorated and had every amenity a family could need, plus many more. The cabin is ideally located--close to Smoky Mountain National Park and the surrounding towns to enjoy all that they have to offer. After a long day of hiking, mini golf and a cheesy "museum," it was nice to have a home to which to return and relax. We all enjoyed the game room, but didn't get a chance to watch the movies on netflix (we were too tired after a long day), but appreciated the option. My husband and I stayed a week in this cabin and we could not be any happier with our choice. It was professionally decorated and had everything you could ask for in a cabin. We enjoyed the games in the game room and also the hot tub on the deck. It was nice to wake up in the morning and see the beautiful view from the master bedroom. During our stay we visited Cades Cove and The Arts and Craft Village. We took in two dinner shows, Dixie Stampede and Hatfield and McCoy. The food was delicious at both, but our favorite show was Hatfield and McCoy. We also went zip lining at Adventure Park at Five Oaks and that was so much fun...we had a blast! The guides, Chase and Tyrone, made it so much fun for our whole group. We will be staying at this cabin in the future. Wow....is what comes to my mind regarding our recent stay at Secluded Pointe. As I was deciding where we wanted to vacation at, I came across the Secluded Pointe listing. The pictures were beautiful and I knew it would be a great stay. I had no idea when I actually got to the cabin that the pictures don't do it justice. This place is absolutely breathtaking! I can't imagine a better view of the smokey mountains even exists. The cabin was very clean and inviting when we arrived. Don Ward provided excellent customer service and you can tell he really values you as a guest. He called the day we arrived to check and see how everything was and to make sure we made it okay. I must say, I am a bit of a procrastinator and decided to actually book the cabin 2 days before we arrived, but Don made it no problem at all. He is very accommodating. I felt as if I was a guest staying in his home as opposed to a rental property. We will definitely be back...I even talked with Don about coming back in March or April. That's how amazing this place is! We would recommend staying at Secluded Pointe...or any of Don's cabins for that matter. We wanted to be close to the attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but not in the typical cabin that you walk out and see your neighbor. Secluded Pointe is exactly what we were looking for. A short, simple drive to the tourist attractions, yet far enough away to not be bothered by all the commotion. We loved Ober Gatlinburg and horseback riding in Wears Valley. My husband and I usually cruise but this year we decided to try a rental property. We were so happy we selected Don and Cindy's cabin high up on the mountain. It truly was secluded. The cabin is nestled at the top of the mountain with the most spectacular views. From the moment we walked through the door it seemed like home. There was nothing overlooked of what anyone would need. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Everything is First Class in every direction top to bottom. The house was sparkling clean. The cabin was conveniently located about 10 to 15 minutes from the center of town. My husband loved having the sports package and settled into the theater room with a big smile. I loved the gas fire place and loft area with all glass windows to enjoy the views. We have traveled quite a bit and this was even better than our timeshare. About the owner: My name is Don Ward and I am a Vice President at Bank of Brewton in Brewton, AL and also past President and Director of the Greater Brewton Chamber of Commerce. My wife, Cindy is a National Board Certified teacher who teaches at Brewton Middle School. Our daughter, Ashleigh, is a student at the University of Alabama. Ashleigh is a Crimsonette (majorette) in Alabama's Million Dollar Band. We enjoy traveling to different places each year during our summer vacation and going to Alabama football games in the fall. We have 4 rental properties that we own and manage. Our Beach House is located in Gulf Shores, AL (HomeAway # 178244). Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley:
We take a family vacation each year. In June 1998 we visited the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area for the first time. During our vacation we fell in love with Wears Valley which is 4 miles from Pigeon Forge. Cindy and I liked the area so much that we purchased land to build a cabin on during our vacation that year.
We prefer to custom build our own cabins because we enjoy being 'hands on' and feel like we can offer a better product for our guests rather than buying a 'spec' cabin from a developer. For example: we have a A/C Unit and Thermostat on each of the 3 levels, ceiling fans throughout the cabin, 2 decks, all wood construction to give you the true cabin feel, built in hair dryers and magnifying makeup mirrors in each bathroom, and a wall of glass to enjoy the spectacular mountain view on each of the 3 levels of the cabin.
The location of this cabin is in a secluded area on a 2.4 acre lot where you have much privacy but it is just minutes from Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. SECLUDED POINTE has a Spectacular View overlooking beautiful Wears Valley and layered Mountain Views of the Smoky Mountain National Park. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most visited National Park of all the National Parks, over 12 million visitors each year. There are so many things to do in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg: Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, Music Theatres, Outlet Malls, Bass Pro Shop, Restaurants, Snow Skiing, Hiking, Tubing, Fishing, or just riding around taking it all in.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Cindy and I like to wake up to the beautiful mountain view from our loft bedroom, then we drink coffee on the deck while we continue to enjoy the quiet and the spectacular view of Wears Valley and surrounding mountains. We hike to the waterfall at Laurel Falls which is very close to our cabin. We love to take a picnic lunch in the summer and eat on the picnic tables by the mountain stream at Metcalf Bottoms. Late in the afternoon or early evening we like to drive through Cade's Cove and see the wildlife. We enjoy eating at the many fine restaurants in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg, but we really love to buy steaks and cook them on the grill at the cabin while enjoying our own private waterfall and the spectacular view. We also love watching a football game or a favorite movie in the theater room downstairs. The last thing we do each day is get into the hot tub and relax after a long day.
