Prior to us selecting this cabin we did a lot of research on the different cabins for rent. We found this one to be perfect for our family of 5 but we could have slept more in it. It was exactly what I expected when I arrived. It had plenty to do in the cabin as well in the surrounding area. Beautiful place!! Marone Family

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cabin, it was everything we had hoped it would be; comfortable, spacious, nicely appointed/decorated tastefully and the view was spectacular. The kids loved the game/theater room(s), my wife and I enjoyed the serenity and views and we all loved the comfortable décor. Whether your plans are to hole up and stay in the cabin, go out and enjoy driving/hiking through the abundant surrounding nature park(s) or participate in the various tourist attractions in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg– this cabin is the place for you and your family. The kitchen and eating area is big enough and equipped with everything you may need to enjoy eating in or if you prefer, Pigeon Forge is a short drive down the mountain whereas there is every eatery known to man – and then some. We have rented many vacation homes and “Park View” is among our favorites. It is always nice to rent from the actual property owner and working with Don was even that much better; he’s personable, thoughtful and he and he family have created a cabin that feels less like a rental and more like a home. I recommend you take the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful cabin. Family of 8

We arrived at Park View just after Christmas, and stayed through New Years. The cabin was awesome. The kids (8,14,17) slept downstairs and we enjoyed the large suite in the loft. Waking up to the Smoky Mountains every morning was something I didn't want to leave. The fireplace was warm, and we found ourselves coming home early at nights to lounge around, relax, and maybe watch a movie or two. While visiting the area we went to the Lumberjack Feud, Dixie Stampede, Dollywood, and many other attractions. It wasn't a bad little drive from the cabin. At midnight on New Years Eve we enjoyed seeing a few fireworks going off across the valley. We would definitely like to spend some more time here.

Before I talk about the amazing cabin, I have to talk about the amazing owners. I talked with Don alot and he was so nice and easy to work with on the cabin rental. The other thing that he has going for him is that his wife's name is Cindy and so is my mine, what a plus. So, thanks Don and Cindy for being such wonderful people to work with on the cabin rental. Now for the cabin. First, you have to follow the map that Don sends to you, EXACTLY! He tells you that a bunch of times and for good reason. Once you get there and you walk in you are blown away by the furnishings and the view. You spend alot of time closing your mouth because it drops open so much. This place is amazing. My husband works in construction and he was so impressed by how well built this cabin is and all the wood that is used. It had a very homey feeling to us because the tables are the same ones that we have and the counter tops are the same ones that our friends have but neither of us have the view that this cabin has, truly breathtaking. The guys loved the pool table and since this was a quick trip we didn't get to use the theatre room but we will next time. Usually when we go on vacation we take our pans to cook with but you won't have to do that here because when they say that it is fully equipped they mean just that, it has everything that you could need or want, very well stocked. When it's time to finally go to bed at night, you will think that you are sleeping in a 5 star hotel because the beds are so comfortable. We all slept later than we normally do but I think it's because it was hard to leave the bed. We had our coffee out on the deck and we could have spent the whole day just relaxing and enjoying the view. We have stayed in other cabins, condos and hotels in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area but we all agreed that this was the best and we can hardly wait to go back. Thanks again Don and Cindy for providing us with such a wonderful place to stay.

Great cabin, great location! You can easily get to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge and come back at the end of the day and rest overlooking Wears Valley/Smokies! The views are spectacular! Watch the sunrise right from the Master Bedroom Loft in bed or the sitting area! You can stare out at the amazing views from the master bathroom jacuzzi in loft or in the hot tub on the lower level deck as you soak after a long day hiking or shopping :)

We appreciated your family sharing your lovely home. What a wonderful 5 days we have spent here with such spectacular views of Wear’s Valley – these cannot be matched! We loved the back entrance to the national Park. Take Wears Valley Rd. toward Townsend & turn left on Lyons Springs – escaped all the traffic to Cades Cove. Also, we highly recommend the Terry Evanswood Magic of Wonders at Wonder Works in Pigeon Forge. Great Entertainment for children and/or adults & not expensive. This was an excellent property. Well maintained, nicely furnished with all the amenities. The view is amazing as promised. The location is great as you are only 15 min from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg and 10 min from the back entrance to the National Park. The owners are easy to work with and even made a personal call the first night we arrived to make sure everything was to our liking and expectations. Highly recommend using their properties. This is our first trip to the Smokies & we had a very good time. We took a long hike, up past Rainbow Falls (a lot of up, but very pretty) but a sprained ankle kept us from doing any more long ones. Biking in Cades Cove was great (saw 3 black bears) the hike to Laurel Falls was crowded and full of people at the Falls – I would skip it. We tried Clingman’s Dome, but the weather/pollution didn’t cooperate, so the view was a little limited. The view from the decks just can’t be beat – make sure to enjoy Happy Hour or post dinner on the deck – it feels good! One logistics suggestion – groceries at Kroger’s on Wears Valley Road in Pigeon Forge is the best quality/price. Bob & Kim Abby (16), Ashton (13)

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with my family. It was the perfect place for our family to relax and enjoy some time together. There was plenty of room for everyone to have some space of their own as well as common areas to be with each other. The decks on each level were very roomy and gave us the perfect spot to experience the amazing views of the mountains and valley below. The pictures of the cabin and its views are an accurate reflection of what you can expect at Parkview, but the actual experience is even better. The information provided on area attractions was very helpful and we were able to navigate the area easily with the directions provided. Don was very prompt with communication and helped make the rental process easy as well as ensuring the security deposit was returned quickly. This is definitely a vacation destination I would recommend to others and hope at some time in the future we might be able to return.

We are visiting from Findlay, OH. We arrived last Wednesday. Had a rough ride here. Got stopped by a bad storm and a traffic jam for an hour on state road 75. The cabin is very nice. I have been here 3 years in a row and this cabin has the best view. We enjoye the balconies overlooking the mountains. Spent a lot of time on them. We went into Gatlinburg, went to mountain Valley Winery and went to eat in Pigeon Forge at Tony Roma’s, was all great. Would come here again. Good times! My family has for the past 4 years rented a cabin in pigeon forge. We have always rented through the cabin rental places. This year we decided to go through home away. What a nice cabin. thw views are the best that we have had. You really feel like you are up there, almost touching the clouds. The beds were amazing, and we loved the extra bar in the kitchen area. We played the arcade games alot and used the pool table, but the most amazing part of the cabin are the views. We lived from morning until night out on the balcanies. We also loved the decor, it had a deer theme. We had some hunters with us so they loved the deer pictures, deer decor. Our stay was fantastic and so was the cabin. We would definetly stay there again. Terry Barnhisel(Findlay, Ohio)

We are visiting here from the Harrisburg, PA area on our summer vacation. We found this cabin on Homeaway.com, where we find all of our vacation homes! It was pretty hot while we were here, but not humid like we are used to! Unfortunately there was a bad storm on our 6th night here and we had to leave a day early because we were without electricity for almost 24 hours and counting on the fourth of July, we sat on the balcony and saw numerous fireworks! Beautiful view! This cabin is gorgeous & very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing Dollywood, Ripley’s, Wonder Works and Dixie Stampede, ETC! Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful Cabin! I need to start this review by saying, "Awesome Cabin." Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures. Our kids each had a king size bed. What a welcome treat to come home in the evening from a hard day of site seeing. Wonderful view of Wears Valley and it was spectacular overlooking the numerous July 4th firework shows. We played many 9 ball games on the pool table. The cabin location is very centrally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Make a left out of Dogwood if you want to go to Pigeon Forge and make a right out of Dowood if you want to go to the National Park and/or Gatlinburg. The owner, Don, was very nice and went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. We would definately stay again. Thank you from our whole family. Ed and Kelly Faichney Mechanicsburg, PA

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Directions were clear, home was great. I had 5 kids (ages 8,8,11,13,14) with me-they loved the theater room, the pool table, hot tub and view! Plenty of space. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed for some meals in the cabin before or after our busy days out and about Wifi was perfect and needed with all the electronics we travel with these days. Owners were very attentive to minor problems and very accomadating. The washer and dryer was also a benefit. I could never have had the same experience in a hotel--we needed the space and the ammenities Even though the address is Sevierville, you come out at stoplight 10 in Pigeon Forge (or stoplight 3 if you go a different way). 15 minutes to the middle of the action in Pigeon Forge and about 20 to the middle of Gatlinburg. Back way into Cades Cove was easy as well. We used restaurant.com coupons for some of the restaurants around town, they were all delicious. We enjoyed Wonderworks, Ober Gatlinburg, tubing, whitewater rafting, Comedy Barn, Dollywood, Splash Country, go karts, the national park, Gatlinburg, candy stores..just about everything. Would definitely recommend the cabin!

1st time in this cabin, but have been to the area many, many times – 6 adults, a 9 yr. old girl, and an 18 mos. old girl. Since we spend so much of our time outdoors, this was a very conveniently located place to stay. We attend King’s Branch Rd. Church of Christ (across from the Gatlinburg Welcome Center), and it was close enough to be easy to come back to the cabin to change clothes before going back to Pigeon Forge/Sevierville to shop. We prefer Tanger Five Oaks because it has a good mix of “regular” and “outlet” Stores, but if you have little ones to buy for, go to Pigeon Forge Outlet Mall (the one with the red roofs – used to be Z. Buda’s) and visit the Carter’s Store, which is a true bargain outlet! There is a nice shortcut to the National Park – Lyon Springs Rd. which takes you to Metcalf Bottoms, a nice place to picnic, play in the water, and take an easy hike to an old school building with a historic cemetery. You can’t take a stroller, but it’s neither long nor strenuous. Leaving Metcalf Bottoms, you can take a left to go to Laurel Falls, Sugarland Visitor Center, and on to Newfound Gap, Clingman’s Dome, etc. Take a right to go to the Townsend “Wye”, Tremont, and Cade’s Cove. We ALWAYS go to Cade’s Cove, any time of year, day of the week, or time of the day. You can drive the whole loop or park at the camp store area and ride bicycles. From spring to fall, car traffic is banned on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from dawn till 10 a.m. to make it safer for bicycles and walkers. You can also park at the stable area and ride horses, or take a hay ride through the cove. Any way is a good way, just GO! (although the best time to see wildlife is early in the morning or close to dusk). During the 2 times we went to Cade’s Cove this week, we saw several turkeys, a herd of horses (from the stables, not wild, but still enjoyable to watch), three bears, (no – really! Haha) and over 50 deer. There are mostly does on the first half, and some BIG bucks on the second half of the loop. But please be nice and use the poll-offs when you spot wildlife, because the Cove is popular and the loop is one-way, so one inconsiderate dolt can back up traffic really badly. And please be SMART and don’t get too close to even sweet-looking does, because they WILL defend themselves and their young with hard kicks and sharp hooves. Since we had the

It is a mostly flat, two mile round trip hike along a river between Gatlinburg and Sugarlands Visitor Center. We hiked it one day at the beginning of the week, scoped out the fish in the pools, and came back today for my daughter to do a little fly-fishing while the rest of us played in the water and built fairy houses on the bank. A little napping went on too! I haven’t yet mentioned the view. Even staying a week, we were surprised by it over and over again. I spent a lot of time just looking and looking, resting my eyes on it. Three stories worth of windows just began to do it justice. Can you imagine how the pioneers felt, finally making it over those mountains and seeing this fair valley? We loved the cabin and enjoyed our stay.

This is a great cabin, clean and conveniently located to both the national park and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. Lots to do at the cabin in case of inclement weather, for all ages. Very comfortable beds, couches, and chairs. A bigger washer and dryer than most cabins, which was really good for us as we do a lot outdoors and go through a couple of changes of clothes daily. The very best thing about this cabin, though, was the spectacular view. He says in the description that the pictures don't do it justice, and he was absolutely right. It would take a camera with a panoramic lens to even begin to take it all in. Even the baby would suddenly stop and just glue herself to the window to look and look!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Park View. The beds were comfortable, as was the furniture; there were 6 adults, one child, and one baby, and everyone had somewhere to get comfy. We all enjoyed the pool table and tvs (although we never did take advantage of Netflix). The hot tub was hot enough and the jacuzzi was nice and big. One warning about the jacuzzi, though, since the water is so soft I (being short) slid around a lot! haha The views were absolutely incredible--I had a hard time sleeping because I didn't want to miss the early morning view, then the daytime view, then the sunset/early evening view, and finally the sparkling lights in the valley at night. Even the baby was struck by it. Her favorite place was the little landing at the foot of both sets of stairs, and she would look up from playing and just stop and look and look. Wears Valley is the best of both worlds, anyway, putting you halfway between the dizzy touristy-ness of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, to the shortcut to the Smokies and hiking the waterfalls. We had a great time.

The pictures cannot do justice. The cabin is beautiful also, with the little extras like toilet paper, kleenex, soaps. The beds were super comfortable, everything was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen had everything I needed, plus a great view also! The three decks ALL have a fantastic view, enjoyed sitting in the hot tub overlooking the valley. Our kids age 11 and 13 LOVED the theater room, and we all enjoyed the pool table and multi arcade games. One day they even opted to stay at the cabin rather than go to Pigeon Forge! Takes a little more than 20 minutes to get to Pigeon Forge, half of that is taken getting off the ridge, be prepared for a hilly drive! The owner was awesome to work with, when we return to the area we will definitely check with him first!

Home away from home! This cabin has the BEST VIEWS EVER!! The pictures could never capture what this cabin has to offer. To awake in your bed, only to see the great mountains through all of your windows, but yet, still be in your bed...Oh my!!!! All 3 decks had beautiful views; not just from the top deck, and not just from the outside. The kids enjoyed the arcade games and family games of pool. There was a large variety of movies in the Theater room. We just didn't have time to do everything. The cabin had the most luxurious linens and comforters. It made any hotel look "just okay". Overall, the drive was approx. 20+ minutes to Pigeon Forge. The mountainous part of that drive was about 10 minutes rounding a small mountain. The views on the drive to the cabin made it all worth while, along with the many rabbits, racoons, and other wildlife you may see. Our family, my husband and myself, 2 children ages almost 9, boy and almost 12, girl, truly had a great time! We THANK Don and his family for sharing their beautiful and well-equipped home with our family. They are so welcoming and personable, as is the cabin. What an AWESOME experience!!!!!!!!

My family enjoyed a weekend in one of the most beautiful cabins in the valley. Working with the owner was such a nice experience. It was a last minute trip and the owner helped us pull it together for a wonderful family weekend. I can not say enough about the cabin and the beautiful view. We have stayed in many cabins over the years and this cabin is the best by far. I was shocked at the "many little extras" inside the cabin: paper towels, coffee, laundry detergent, so many items that are usually NOT included. The cabin was extremely clean and very organized. And again the view.............. there is nothing that I can say that would even come close to how beautiful the view was and three different balconies (one on each level) with rocking chairs. Will definitely be going back!

We stayed in this cabin 5 days for spring break and loved it. The view is beautiful looking down into the valley and mountains. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and there are plenty of stores to get groceries in the area. It was so nice to wake up to the view when sleeping in the loft bedroom. We had our 3 kids with us and they loved the game and theater room. They also loved the huge beds and the hot tub. Everything was just as nice as it looked in the pictures and there were no disappointments. One thing we noticed about this cabin compared to other cabins/houses we've rented on vacations was that there were a lot of little things that were thoughtful such as hand soap, toilet paper and garbage bags. There were even a few packets of coffee and tea in case you didn't get to the grocery store before checking in. It may seem little but it was just very helpfull since I expected to have to supply all of that. This was our first time visiting the Smokey Mountains and we were glad we went although it was a little scary driving on the mountains! We would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.

What a WONDERFUL cabin. The pictures on the website do not do it ANY justice. As soon as you walked in you felt right at home. The cabin itself was so clean, fresh, and so inviting. We all enjoyed the gameroom. Playing the Arcade brought back memories, and the kids enjoyed playing the old stuff. Family fun with Arcade tournaments. Lol. The home theatre was amazing as well; all you needed was some hot and fresh buttery popcorn! The rooms were very warm and cozy. Park View was an Amazing and peacful getaway.

This cabin is wonderful! The views are so pretty. The game cube was great. We were able to have tournaments, competing with the boys-both 14- playing what we played in our younger days! It was such fun. The owners are so nice and easy to work with. We will definitely be back. You could not ask for any accomodation to be more welcoming. Our family loves to stay at any of the Ward's properties. If you select this cabin, you will not be disapointed. The cabin is very clean and equipped. I definitely, and whole heartedly recommend this get-a-way haven!

Fabtabulous...wonderful...SO RELAXING!!...tucked away up the mountain is simply a theraputic retreat! We needed a much needed holiday with no day to day hustle and bustle. All the amenities you could ask for....with lots of room....most of the time, we didn't know the kids were even there. They were enthralled in the game room most evenings and mornings. A time or two we would venture out to town ...and it was conveniently close enough but far enough away...lol...one morning we got up early and took a tour of Cades Cove...and even saw a bear....we did stay our distance away though!...The Hot Tub called out our names several times and we didn't hesitate to answer. Most assuredly will be return guests!

Park View was the perfect cabin for our vacation. The pictures do not do this cabin justice. We stayed for five days and did not want it to end. The kitchen was fully equipped with all we needed to make meals. The furniture was comfortable and the decor was just beautiful. The beds provided a great night sleep after a long day of sight seeing and shopping. The game room and theater room provided great entertainment for everyone. The cabin has great views of the valley and mountains from all levels. I especially enjoyed waking up in the loft and seeing that view first thing in the morning. The hot tub was the perfect ending to a long day. We visited Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and The Track. Cades Cove is great for seeing wild life, Gatingburg for shopping and The Track for family fun. The owners, Don and Cindy Ward, were very helpful and accommadating with our stay. Don called upon checking in and checking out. We will definitely be back to Park View.
