Short walk past the large pool, playscape, sand volleyball court and over the dunes finds you on the beautiful Port A beach. Carry your picnic or park on this expansive beach.
Kitchen is fully equipped. (pots,pans, dishes,coffee pot, blender, wok, crockpot..) Just bring the steak & shrimp for the barbi.
Dining table is one of a kind-hand carved 'ocean' top that seats 6 (8, but very cozy).
Living area features 2 leather sofas, one has unit with recliner chair and pull out sofa bed. New built in flat screen tv, satellite, dvd , sterio with cd, cassette ,radio. Books and games on the shelf for your use.
Two full baths, handicap shower chair available.
Need to get some work done? With the wifi and large roll-top desk you have the place.
Masterbed newly redecorated with built-in flat screen TV , two tall queen beds, lamp and alarm clock, attached private bath.
Second bedroom has one full and one twin bed and is colorfully decorated with kids in mind. Surf board and hula skirts are part of the whimsical decor.
Located in a downstairs unit, no hauling suitcases and groceries upstairs. And depending the the winds and the dune height, you can even see the ocean at times. Free Parking at /or near your door.
The lanai has cedar loveseat and chairs to enjoy the sunset.

When we arrived the condo was prepared for our visit. We unpacked and loaded the refrigerator. I realized pretty quickly that the refrigerator wasn't cooling. The note on it said not to turn it to a lower setting- that it would freeze up. I had a thermometer and put it in the refrig. It was around 60. I called the owned on Sunday and by Monday morning she called to say that Lowe's was on the ferry with a new refrigerator. They installed it before noon and we were good to go. The owner managed this so quickly even though she was visiting away from her home. Great Job!! We really appreciated the combination lock on the door, making it so we need not be concerned about forgetting our key and locking ourselves out.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

I stayed in this condo for approximately 1 month. I found it to be very clean and very well equipped and maintained. I loved being able to just walk across the sand dune to enjoy the beach! The best part of the stay was that I could walk almost anywhere - grocery store, restaurants and bars, church, beach, etc.! My only issue during my stay was that I did not have secure Wi-fi. I had unsecured access, but in order to pay my bills on-line I had to go to the library for a secure line. I would definitely recommend this condo for short and long term renters.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My family loved our stay in this condo. The owner was available for an emergency and help us promptly. The internet connection was fine on my laptop but my phone couldn't get the Wifi signal which was fine since we spent so much time on the beach and swimming pool !! Also, mosquitoes are abundant at this time of the year, so spray yourself before walking to the beach. Great location and great price ! Thanks!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great place, nicely decorated. We had a mini guys weekend/fishing trip and it was perfect for us. Close to the pool, very comfy. Definitely would go back. I have my own lakehouse on VRBO and I took some ideas that I plan on using.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Great location off 11th street, direct beach access via walking path beyond the property's swimming pool, very comfortable condo with all the necessary amenities. plenty of room for our family of 5. About the owner: My family lives on a ranch in Central Texas. We love the outdoors, animals, travel and expecially the beach. We also love to fly. The airport at Port A is perfect for the private pilot with free trolley to town (well, last time I checked) and $5 cab rides to anywhere you need to go..although you can walk just about everywhere in this historic little town.
Why the Owner Chose Pelican:
We love Port Aransas! The Pelican was a perfect fit for our family with walking, biking or the free trolley to town and a quick walk over the dunes to the beach. It has all the amenities needed. The beautifully large pool and sprawling palm tree grounds were our first attraction. The Pelican is an average size complex with large apartments. This complex is one of the first on the island (It has withstood several hurricanes) and was build to last. It has kept up with the times with recent remodel to the entire exterior.
