We were very pleasantly surprised on arrival. First of all, we were able to enter the room several hours early. Tony came to inspect the room which was more than up to par. Everything was extremely clean. The only thing that was a little lacking was the size of the oceanview balcony, and the door did not shut tightly, but it was not a problem. I am the only one of 6 who liked sitting on the balcony so I had plenty of room! The laundry was just one floor up or down, so drying towels and doing a load of laundry here or there was great. The pools were enjoyed by the kids in our group, as well as the hot tubs. There were some activities coordinated by The Palace staff. All the staff at the resort were very helpful and pleasant. Tony was fantastic when a small problem arose with our keys sticking. He responded extremely promptly and is such a great person! It was great to have a parking place when coming back late at night and not worrying about parking across the street like we have in the past. More than likely we will try to rent this same condo next year. The room sizes were very generous and the beds were quite comfortable. The beach chairs were new. The elevators were not that bad. The only time we had a long wait was when there was a mass exodus from the beach when a thunderstorm arose quite quickly. The hallways and lobby were clean and well kept. The lobby was being remodeled, but that did not cause any kind of problem. The larger pool was quite refreshing and being able to sit and watch the ocean was very relaxing. The bar on the pool deck was fantastic for a drink or a quick lunch and the prices were really reasonable. I really can't complain about anything. The Smith's were great to work with and everything went extremely smoothly. I would recommend this condo, Smith Rentals and The Palace for your next stay in Myrtle Beach!

Nice Condo. Resort could be better.
Nice Condo. Resort could be better.
Stayed in room 1407. The pictures don't represent this room very well. They make it look worse than it actually is. There seems to be some pictures that aren't of this condo. Should have a pic of the living area as it is nice and also the ocean view! PROS -Nice and spacious -Our group loved the kitchen/living area lay out -Lots of room in the kitchen and living area -Room was cleam upon arrival -The beds in the bedrooms were all very comfortable -Stove, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher seemed pretty new and all worked really well. -2 balconies are a plus -2 bathrooms are a plus and both showers worked really well and were clean -The view from the balconies are FANTASTIC. They aren't necessarily "oceanfront" but they may as well be. You can see all the way down the beach past the state park pier. Great views. -Location is great. Close to many restaurants and attractions. Right in the middle of it all. But a good thing for me at least, it's not too close to downtown which is extremely busy. CONS(most are the resort itself, not the condo) -There was no spatchula which made making eggs pretty tough or an oven mitt. -The two lounging chairs were pretty worn but still pretty comfy. -The couple that slept on the pullout said it wasn't the most comfortable bed, but said they have slept on worse. -The door to the balcony from the living area was nearly impossible to open. It took 2 of us to finally get the door open so we never shut it completely for our stay. -The tv in the master bedroom didn't work the greatest. It's probably the cable but many channels were fuzzy. At least ESPN wasn't. Thank goodness. -This site says ice maker in the fridge, it doesn't work but there are a few ice trays. We finally found them the day before leaving. -Then the hotel website says ice machines are there. They aren't. You have to go to the restaurant everyday if you want ice. Got pretty annoying fast -Elevators are extremely slow. Wait 5-15 minutes each time to get on the elevator. -Amenities are lacking. They have a couple pools and hot tubs. We didn't use them much as they were packed. -One thing that was extremely annoying. After 11:00 pm they close the pool area and lock the doors which is the only way to get inside the building by rinsing your feet off. So you go in with sandy feet everytime. -The hallway smells pretty bad, but the room doesn't! We had a problem with the top linens not being on the beds when arrived. Called Tony and was very helpful. Would recommend!
