We really enjoyed our stay at this rental property! Our group of 10 adults had plenty of room and we really enjoyed the back porch. The house is within walking distance of the bakery, downtown, and of course Wurstfest. I highly recommend this house for your stay in New Braunfels. Taylor was great to work with and the house was everything we expected it to be.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

The house is a few blocks from a host of restaurants, pubs and bakeries. Outstanding location if you plan to eat or drink in dowtown New Braunfels - my family did a little of both. The Comal and Schlitterbaun are a short drive away (less than 5 min). Proximity to downtown meant that parlking was an issue. we only had one car, but additional cars would probably have to be parked in the very narrow driveway as the downtown restaurants and the nearby church means that the street parking is not much of an option. The house had plenty of space for the four of us and probably could have handled two more if needed. The single full bath would be an issue though. Our kids loved the upstairs loft with its little nooks and crannies. The kitchen was well stocked but suprisingly missing a few things (5 cutting boards and no cookie sheet?). There was WIFI, but it was very slow and fickle. If we were there for longer than the weekend, it could have been more of an issue. Don't plan to sleep in on Sunday morning. The church bells play a beautiful concert, and if you think you'll take that opportunity to go grab some breakfast from a nearby bakery...think again. Not open on Sundays. As is the case anywhere near dowtown New Braunfels, the train can be heard at all hours. Taylor does a good job getting you ready for the stay. He was wonderful to deal with from start to finish.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My friends and I had our first annual vacation in La Casita Roja. There was plenty of room for 9 adults. The kitchen and dining room were amazing. During our stay we walked down the street and ate dinner at the German restaurant. I forget its name. There was entertainment and the food was amazing. On saturday we woke early and hit the local bakery for breakfast then walked around the Farmers Market. There was plenty of entertainment within walking distance of La Casita Roja. We also floated the Camal River on saturday. The only bad thing I have to say about La Casita Roja was that the wifi wasn't very strong and we couldn't watch Netflix during our down time. However that did not effect our stay much. My favorite part about the location of the house was hearing the church bells on Sunday morning.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just spent the weekend at La Casita Roja and had an amazing experience! We shared the home with another family and with all of our kids, we had a total of 10 people. We were very comfortable and had the best time! From the moment we booked with VRBO, Taylor communicated with us about every detail involving the house, our upcoming stay and anything he could help us with during our stay in New Braunfels. Taylor was in constant communication with us even as we traveled from our homes in Sugar Land to New Braunfels. He wanted to make sure every aspect of our trip was met with hospitality. We couldn't have been more pleased. This house is much larger than the pictures show. Each couple had our own bedroom, our combined 4 teen and preteen girls took the upstairs loft which had 2 futons with thick comfy mattresses. The girls pulled the futons together and made a large bed - too cute! They loved having the upstairs to themselves! Our 2 teenage boys were very comfortable in the living room which had 2 oversized club chairs and a couch with a pull-out bed. The big screen TV was perfect for their late night games of X-BOX. The complimentary Wi-Fi was very much appreciated! The kitchen had every amenity you can think of. Plus there is a charcoal grill stored in the garage. We enjoyed a nice dinner of fish tacos, burgers and hot dogs on the grill. We baked a dump cake in the oven and enjoyed fresh coffee every morning. We really enjoyed our first evening at La Casita Roja. We had refreshing drinks out on the covered back porch while watching the rain fall. Very relaxing! We then took a nice walk around downtown New Braunfels since there are numerous restaurants, bakeries, bars, etc. within walking distance from the house. We will never come to New Braunfels without first booking our stay with Taylor at his very charming La Casita Roja! We WILL be back soon - please save a weekend for us Taylor!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

tThis charming cottage gets a 5 star review from the 10 of us who were amazed that we were all comfortable here. The rooms were large and having a big table where we could eat at the same time in a 2 bedroom home was delightful. The home is new, clean and centrally located. Price was a concern and the rental rate was great for us. The owner cares about his property and checked regularly that all was fine. If all remains the same, ie. price, amenities etc., we will definitely return to this rental next year as we come every year to New Braunfels.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

Everything was great! Really nice house. My only complaint is that the stove did not work. Taylor was extremely nice. All the trains going through town got a little annoying but it would not stop me from renting this house again. Its close to everything and within blocks from schlitterbahn. Thanks for everything!!!!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
