We couldn't have been more pleased with our 4 day ski vacation at Chalet Bon Chance with our kids and grandkids. The pictures can't do justice to this incredible property. The house is immaculate, in beautiful decorator condition, and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need! The downstairs game room with the combination pool/ping pong/hockey table plus television was a great gathering place for everyone after a day on the slopes. And the indoor jacuzzi upstairs was waiting for us every evening too. The master bedroom has the most incredible view of the slopes at Bear Mountain, and the outdoor decks just go on and on at each level. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that is truly first-class. There is nothing lacking in this gorgeous home, and Mary was incredibly friendly and helpful each step of the way. She even provided us with a pack-and-play and high chair for our littlest grandson. We'll definitely be going back again and again to this home-away-from-home!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

The views from this home were beautiful! The kids loved sitting on the swing on the spacious outside patio.The owner was very easy to work with and quick to get back to me. The house was large enough to accommodate our group comfortably. We had a great weekend! Just got back from a Superbowl weekend with friends at "Chalet Bon Chance." We had eight people and an infant and it could've comfortably slept a lot more. Great location close to both mountains and in the hills, providing a great view of the slopes from nearly every room. Sprawling decks on each level. There's a little dog run, a half basketball court, and a large jacuzzi upstairs overlooking the mountains. Each bathroom had a basket of toothpaste, toothbrushes, soaps - amenities most hotels don't supply. Mary was extremely helpful and responsive and was accommodating beyond the usual. Would definitely go back and highly recommend staying here. Reasonably priced, close to all, amazing views, great owners to deal with, and spacious. Thanks for making this such a great trip! We'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Spectacular large house with multiple levels and plenty of common rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms for a large family, few families combined, friends get-together or a multi-generational family retreat. The living room is very nice with high ceiling, 2 couches and comfortable chair, large fireplace, big entertainment center with DVDs, Cds, and cable. Downstairs there is a nice bonus room with a pool table that converts to a ping pong table, wet bar, closet with board games and access to outside yard which includes a half basketball court. Outside along back of house there are interconnected large spacious sunny decks which look out across a valley at Bear Mountain - pictures do not do the incredible, unobstructed views justice. Can see Big Bear Lake from corner of upper deck through the pines. Gorgeous! Dining table, BBQ, two chaise lounges all included. All rooms are all very large, nicely decorated, thoughtful appointments to make guests comfortable. Good location in upscale "Moonridge" neighborhood - convenient to BOTH ski areas (10 minute drive) and easy access to town, supermarkets and restaurants which are just a few more minutes down the road. You can see great pride in ownership as house is clean, well-maintained, nicely decorated with nice touches throughout including good instructions from owners, notebook with information and advice on area, menus etc. We would highly recommend this house and plan to return there again for both skiing and summer vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home has a warm feeling from the moment you enter. The location is perfect, the views from every room in the home are amazing. The owners are kind, placing little touches all over the house, where to find things, how to operate all the lights, TV's, game room, and they have items in the home you can use to make your stay very welcome. I cannot say enough about the love they have placed in this home to make you feel welcome. Our family spent Christmas there & they decorated it for us, it was simply the best vacation we ever had. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home was perfect for the 3 families that made up our party (6 adults, 3 small children). The layout is fabulous with plenty of space to spread out and each family able to have their own sleeping areas. The home is stocked with all of the necessities and we prepared a huge Thanksgiving feast in the spacious kitchen. The large windows & deck on the back of the house provided amazing views of the mountains and ski slope. Having unseasonably warm weather in the daytime enabled us to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. Thank you, Mary, for opening your home to us and giving me so much info on the house & town.
