Karl and Penny's condo exceeded our expectations and provided us with the ideal place to relax and unwind after a tiring journey. Its location is just perfect for beach access, resturants ( Roys across the road - pricey but superb food!), shopping etc. The unit was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we could need. We have visited Oahu many times and rate this condo as the best we have experienced - hopefully we will be back!

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week in Karl's condo. The condo was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the ocean every morning on both lanais. Easy walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. The beach was just a short stroll from the condo. We would highly recommend this condo for those wanting to be in a great area of Waikiki. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. A great spot! And, the deposit was returned promptly following our visit. Mahalo!

My sister and I stayed for a week at Karl's condo and it was everything he said it would be. From the ocean view and the great location (one hotel from the beach), everything was perfect. I want to comment on the cleanliness of the unit; it was immaculate. I have rented condos in the past, and this has not been the case. Great job all the way around. We walked everywhere (it is within walking distance of all stores, restaurants, zoo and aquarium). This condo is perfectly suited for up to 4 people. The extra bath worked out great also. I will stay again my next time in Waikiki!! Thanks

We were a little apprehensive booking on-line from over-seas however Karl made the whole process so simple.The location is great the towel and bed linen exchange made the stay so much easier.The apartment is spacious and the second bathroom is a handy addition. Karl kindly gave us early check in which was greatly appreciated.

Thank you Karl for providing us with great accommodation. We have been to Hawaii more than 25 times and now that we have found your unit, we hope to stay there for our future trips. From the time we opened the door and saw the openness, brightness and cleanliness, we were truly pleased. Having a bedroom and two bathrooms was very handy. The location to the beach is perfect and very central to shops, restaurants and the bus stop. We stayed for a month this year and hope to stay for six weeks in 2011.

We really enjoyed our stay at your condo! The staff was very pleasant, and it was so nice not to have to buy beach chairs,etc since there were some in the closet; and the wheeled cart was just the thing we needed to transport all the things we got at the flea market :) The room was nice & clean, very quiet, and I loved having 2 bathrooms. We made good use of the fitness room and enjoyed the beautiful owner's lounge as well. I'd definitely recommend this unit to others! thanks Karl & Penny!

ALOHA.. We recently stayed here in this great little condo!!!! It's right by the beach (2 min. walk), you can see the beach great from both the lanais.We watched our husbands surfing threw the binocs.right from our lanai!! 2 baths just made it for us. Althrough we rented a car for most of our stay(7/23/09--8/04/09) we so didn't need it for "touristing" or shopping around.We hope to make it back next year.Hopefully the hot tub will be finished by then,that was the only thing missing,the pool deck is very comfortable..the veiws and tranquility of the owners lounge are such a NICE BONUS!! Karl & Penny are great to work with.The staff are very helpful MUCH MAHALOSto all,Jamie&family

We have just returned from spending a wonderful 2 weeks in this unit. Clean and a great partial ocean view. The Imperial staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked this unit for our son and another one of Karl and Penny's for us on our next visit. Can't wait to go back.

This was your first home we stayed in, #2104 - we loved everything about it and were very happy staying there - it was very comfortable, decorated beautifully, plenty roomy - it was so nice to have a few amenities in the kitchen cabinets to get you started, that was so thoughtful - the location of your condo is fabulous - a few steps from the beach and right outside the front door there's lots of happenings going on - we had such fun there - we hope we are able to come back next year. My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Imperial. Karl and Penny's condo is clean, attractive, and very close to Waikiki. Roy's is right across the small street, the food is magnificent. Better late than never - What a great stay from January 29th to March 1st. A terrific property in a terrific location. Well kept - just as advertised and more! We truly enjoyed the convenient location and friendly staff and Karl & Penny were terrific to deal with. The only disappointment is that the unit is not available for our 2009 dates! We have spent a great week in Waikiki in this great unit at the Imperial. It is totally renovated, fully furnished, clean, bright and very vell located. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and to the great restaurants and shops. We loved the Island Tour (Pearl Harbor, North Shore, East Coast...), had a great day of snorkeling with Captain Bob and spent a day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Everything was close to the Imperial. We enjoyed the pool at the end of a long day at the beach. Wow!!! It was great! We would definitely recommend this unit for a Waikiki stay in Hawaii! Loved it, loved it, loved it! Can't wait to come back to #39889, our new home away from home, in Waikiki! Great big condo, nicely equipped kitchen, comfortable queen-size futon and full size bed, fantastic view, TWO BATHROOMS! Everything was very clean and up-to-date, everyone who worked at The Imperial was very courteous and friendly, and we never waited for more than a minute for the elevators. Perfect experience for a first-time vrbo user! Karl & Penny, thanks for letting us stay at your condo, we hope to be able to come back real soon! Aloha and Mahalo!

Couldn't have stayed at a better place in Waikiki. Could see the surfers every day from the lanai! Great shopping a block away. Condo staff very nice even ordered a limo to take us back to the airport when we left. Accmodations wonderful!! We will be visiting again and hope to be able to stay in the same condo!!! Mahalo a dozen times over for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

We recently stay in your condo and really enjoyed our stay. It was very nicely furnished with everything and anything we needed, very comfortable and the location could not have been better. The kitchen was great and the internet serice and the 27th floor was fantastic and if we go to Waikiki again, which we will, we will most likely try to stay again at your condo. Thank you for the use of your condo! It was fantastic. While 550 sq feet sounds small, the four of us (including our two teenagers) were very comfortable. The location is perfect for getting to the beach, shopping, and the Waikiki nightlife! The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The staff of the Imperial were friendliest we met on our trip through the Islands. The Owners' Lounge on the 26th floor has an amazing view and computer access for those (like us) who didn't bring laptops. We would certainly stay here again!

My brother was getting married at The Halekulani and I needed a place nearby that would house my family. I did not want to stay in a one-room hotel and suites in the area were too expensive. We were very lucky to find this place just across from the hotel and steps away from the beach. It was well kept and had everything we needed. The owner was very professional and quick to reply. The staff was down-to-earth and friendly. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we find ourselves in Waikiki.

We were very pleased with this condo. It was just across the street from the hotel my brother was getting married in and just as close to the beach. The unit was well kept and provided everything we needed. The owner was very professional and quick to respond to my questions. The staff was friendly and down to earth. Close to the beach -- right behind the Halekalani -- close to all the designer shops, close to the international marketplace, abc store downstairs had groceries, there was also a Denny's on the 1st floor. Lots of nice shops on the same street, it has been remodeled on Lewers. Right across the street is the Embassy Suites and lots of nice restaurants and shops with unusual items. The buses stop within a block or 2 also. Pool is up on the roof. No wi-fi in the room, but you can use the internet in the owners lounge.

The condo could not have been more perfect! It was the right price compared to others we looked at, the location was great and we enjoyed all the staff (Especially Kona, the travel agent who works in the lobby). It is close to everything in Waikiki and there are plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk.

This place comes as advertised... it's clean, well-stocked, nice layout, steps from the beach, and you can easily walk everywhere in Waikiki. The owners are accommodating and professional (thanks Karl & Penny!) and what made it even better was that every staff person I encountered at the Imperial was friendly and helpful. You almost feel you live there and that's your apt. building -- but you eventually have to go home and mess up the dream! Oh -- and that futon is soooo comfortable...

Loved the unit... it comes exactly as advertised and then some. Every person I encountered on staff at the Imperial was friendly, pleasant and helpful. The location is perfect when you want to be right in the middle of everything in Waikiki. But really, it's that futon that got me. It's the best thing ever... especially after every muscle in your body aches from surfing for the first time!

Just a step to the beautiful beach. Close to lots of shops & restaurants. You can never find a place like this condo in such a reasonable price. We totally loved the view from lanais. I'd like to be back there again.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Your place was comfortable and conveniently located to the beach, grocery store, restaurants, and shopping. The view of the ocean from the balcony was breath taking. The staff at the hotel was wonderful and very friendly. They help us map out a day trip to the north shore. Where we visit the Dole plantation, Turtle beach, Waimea Bay where my son jump off the rock then we continue down the road until we reached Giovanni's shrimp shack there we ate the best shrimp scampi. We really loved this Condo. The location was perfect and very close to the beach and all the best shops and eating options. The little store on the Lobby level was very convienent with a wide variety of food, sunscreen, towels hats, snorkels, aspirin etc. The valet parking was speedy and easy. Great location!!!!!!!! The condo was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Fancy enough for you to feel like you were someplace special but homey enough to feel really comfortable. The beds were comfortable, even the dishes were cute. The pool on the roof was nice and quiet and peaceful. The view was nice from the balcony. The ocean was a beautiful shade of aqua, and the perfect temperature. I would rate this place a 10!!!! Wish I was there now!!!!!!!

We just returned from 9 all too short nights at this great Condo. Just like a second home. Our only complaint was that we had to leave way too soon---I could have stayed another 9 nights and it still would have not been enough. Location was perfect, we were able to walk to the beach in less than three minutes. Great restaurants--The Yardhouse (we were able to eat our leftovers the next day for lunch), Beard Papa (cream puffs to die for), just around the corner on Beachwalk there is a tiny italian restaurant(nice pizza and pasta), Roy's across the street(Yum)and deli just a down the street. Lots of cute shops---and a really great street to just sit and people watch. Thanks,Karl & Penny!!

Our stay in Karl and Penny's condo was fantastic. We've been to Waikiki a few times before but this stay was the best. We attribute that to this great condo. It was clean and attractive, the 2 lanai's had a really nice view of the ocean, the kitchen was really well equipped, the two bathrooms allowed the 4 of us some privacy, the futon was comfortable and not to mention all the great ammenities the building provides!! The location of this condo is fabulous - so close to the water and has great access to so many other things. Karl was exceptionally helpful by putting up with our changing schedule. Mahalo! I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend this condo to my friends and family.

Our family of 4 stayed Feb. 18 - 25, 2006. The condo is very clean, bright & nicely updated everywhere. There was plenty of space, & great views from both lanais. Our Family of 4 had a very comfortable visit, the 2 bathrooms and 2 lunai's were very useful. The condo is very very clean,very quiet,the view is great, well situated to the waikiki beach, shopping and entertainment. Staff is the friendliest that we have met in our travels.
