We loved the cabin. My wife, two children, Mother-in-law and myself stayed in the cabin for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you needed to make you feel at home. The kids enjoyed the hot tub while the adults enjoyed the fireplace and relaxing atomsphere.Recommended for: Families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. We are so glad you had a wonderful time!

This was our 13th stay at Sunset View over the past dozen or more years. The cabin is cozy, welcoming & clean. The hot tub is always in good working condition. Wears Valley is beautiful, and the location gives good access to Pigeon Forge to the one side, and Cades Cove on the other. We love having the screened porch so we can use the hot tub & rockers without being pestered by bugs. My only reluctance in writing a completely positive review is that we want the cabin to be available whenever we can make a trip! We've tried a great number of cabins over the years, and keep coming back to this one because it is our favorite.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Jeanne, So glad to have you back again and thank you for this wonderful review. I hope the cabin will always be available when you are ready for a rest at Sunset View!

The cabin was immaculate when we arrived. We found that it was well equipped with everything we might need for a perfect week. The spacious hot tub overlooking the beautiful scenery was great and made even better by the sounds of birds, owls and an occasional howl that we did not recognize. We felt very secluded but found it really was close to the park entrance for hiking Laurel Falls and the Chimneys and swimming at Metcalf Bottoms and the Sinks. It was also very easy to get to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Cherokee Indian Reservation and casino. We make a day trip to Maggie Valley/Waynesville and over to Ashville to the Biltmore. It took about an hour and 20 minutes to Ashville and about 45 minutes to Maggie. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I would highly recommend this cabin. We felt at home from the moment we walked into the door. This cabin has such a warm and comfortable feeling. Everything was very clean and nicely put away. The kitchen is fully stocked. So, you won’t have to worry about forgetting anything at home. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the back porch in the morning and soaking in the hot tub at night. You are isolated from all the other cabins, yet close to all the attractions. We cannot wait to visit again!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2003
About the owner: We love to travel the world and found this great cabin and instantly fell in love. It felt like home immediately. We've taken special care over the years to add things that make it even more comfortable and enjoyable. It shows -- everyone who has ever stayed here says the same thing. They are so glad they found it and can't wait to come back. :)
Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley:
We bought in this location because it is close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg yet has none of the busy traffic and noise. It's high enough up the mountain to have GREAT views yet it's not hard to get to in the snow. So many cabins are scary to drive to, but not ours!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
If you want to get great exercise you can do it right from the cabin. You don't even need to get in a car. Just head up the driveway and explore.
