  We spent time in Liguria at the end of a family vacation in Italy with our three adult children. We were thrilled with this property and its owners. The vistas were spectacular, the home immaculate and comfortable and its owners beyond hospitable and considerate. We wished that we could have stayed longer. We were able to prepare a couple of great family meals in the well equipped kitchen. Be sure to gather food in Moneglia or Sestri Levante before going up the hill, it's a bit of a ride. We would highly recommend this property. Its a great location to access Cinque Terre and also Camogli and Portofino.

  Our family met at his wonderful home for a dream vacation of the Cinque Terre area. The house had everything we needed and Bill & Guiliana were close by to answer any of our questions. We enjoyed getting to know them and even shared a few meals with them, they are both wonderful cooks. The house is in a great location, with a spectacular view. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The neighbors do have roosters and chickens which woke us in the AM, but provided us with very fresh eggs. The patio is the best feature of the home, we spent many hours enjoying this space! Our friends came to share the second week with us. Guiliana made the transition work seamlessly. Thank you, Bill & Guiliana for sharing your house with us.

  Upon arrival, we were met by Bill at the Autostrada exit..(A good idea)..You'll need a car, but driving around the area was easy, and the train also cheap, and readily available to visit the 5 cities....Bill, and Giuliana were excellent host, and hostess...The property was as nice as expected. We enjoyed a couple of before dinner drinks, and "appetizers" visiting with them...They have quite the history...They were very non-invasive, but available for every question we had...The setting was just as pictured, even better in person...The house very well equipped..(Even sharp knives!) .If you want to get away , This would be a perfect place to do it..They were fairly new to VRBO, but Bill has been in the hospitality business most of his life, and seems pretty good at it...You won't be disappointed....

  We absolutely loved staying at the Olive Cottage in Moneglia! My wife and I were very surprised with this amazing property. Our kids (1 and 3.5 years old) loved it as well. Moneglia was exactly what we were looking for in Liguira, a sleepy seaside town with easy access to Cinque Terre and Portofino and an easy 2 hour drive from Milan. Bill and Giuliana were wonderful hosts! They were so thoughtful making sure that every need was met. They even brought over toys for our kids to play with. They also treated us to delicious fresh baked focaccia bread and pizza on the couple of rainy days that we had. They keep the property in immaculate condition and are nearby if you need anything. The pictures speak for themselves, but the view is even better in person. My wife and I thought it was surreal, something out of a movie. We spent 5 nights at the property and took day trips to Cinque Terre via train, and we drove up the coast through several sea side towns to Portofino, which was also beautiful and highly recommended. We would love to come back some day!

  We loved our stay at this most beautiful home! The setting was gorgeous and the home immaculate, beautifully decorated, spacious, peaceful, and away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities we visited. The owners were extremely helpful regarding their guidance and tips for us about where to shop, eat, tour, catch the train, and many other ideas about how to make the most of our stay. We enjoyed delightful stretches of time on the expansive patio overlooking green, rolling hills and the sea. A car is a must, however, because it's approximately a 10-15 minute drive to shops and restaurants. We loved every minute!!
