Property description

A Residential Home in Old Town:

As you step onto a mahogany front porch with two large benches and overflowing window boxes, you open a walnut wood front door into a spacious and very inviting open floor plan. The dining room is to your left with a beautiful baby grand piano in the front window.
The marble pedestal table invites guests to seat on comfy upholstered chairs and surround themselves with beautifully appointed furniture. The ceiling fixture is a Gaelic silver chandelier.

Your eyes are then drawn to the living room with its tranquil pallet of turquoise, white and tan. The ceiling is painted a very soft sky blue. There is a flat screen 36' TV with HD and a DVD player; a ceiling fan; a wood burning fireplace.

Look beyond to a cheerful and bright kitchen with all amenities.
The color scheme is eggnog and white cabinets. The bead board trimmed island has set-in light blue/white ceramic tile. There is a sky blue Kohler double ceramic sink, a ceiling fan and a bay window - what more could you ask for. Seating for two at extended kitchen counter or in dining room or on deck.

To the left of the kitchen is a full bath and bedroom separated by a pocket door, which allows privacy for the guests. Bathroom has a Kohler white ceramic tub with shower and a single sink vanity called Martha's Vineyard by the manufacturer. The ceramic tile surrounding the tub is in a subway design. The room has white bead board trim 3/4's up the wall and a ceramic floor in the design of a bleached wooden deck. The bathroom is separate from the bedroom.

The attached bedroom has a trundle bed that converts into two twin beds or a king size bed. There is ample closet space. The bedroom also has a ceiling fan.

Beyond the kitchen is a mudroom with coat closets and whimsical primary colored wallpaper of checks/stripes. There is also a window seat.

This room leads out onto a large mahogany deck, which also has a staircase leading down to a large backyard. There is a safety gate at the top of stairs. Seating on the deck with window boxes and white patio furniture makes you feel as though you are in a space all of your own. The deck has seating for twelve. A canvas gazebo covers part of deck and has curtains that can drawn if it rains. It is appointed with an indoor/outdoor carpet, lighting and tables for hors d'oeuvres and seating. Looking beyond the deck, you can appreciate the lovely quiet setting, the shady trees, the old New England stone walls and the gardens. A Weber BBQ propane grill is provided with utensils.

The second floor has a mahogany balcony at the top of the stairs. First upstairs room is used as a den. It has a computer table and a trundle bed with two twins. Second bedroom can be provided with one/ two Pack'nPlays. It has a Graco open top swing, a Kids' II infant seat and a child's doll bed. The room has white wicker furniture and a ceiling fan.

Bathroom is separate from master bedroom. It has a single sink vanity called Nantucket by the manufacturer. There is a large ceramic walk in shower with handicap arm bars. The room follows the same decorating theme as the downstairs bathroom with bead board and ceramic floor tile. Across from the bath is a standard size washer and dryer.

The master bedroom is large. It has a king size bed with a feather bed topper. There is a comfortable wing chair and a 32' flat screen TV with DVD player; plenty of drawer and closet space.

Upon purchase (2004), the home was completely gutted and redesigned with architectural plans. Square footage is approximately 1700.
Floors on the first level are all oak hard wood. The second level is carpeted.

The backyard is fully enclosed and safe for children and a dog.

Detached garage can accommodate a mid size car. There is additional parking in driveway for two cars.

For Boston Sightseeing: You can hop onto the commuter train in Swampscott (neighboring town). It is only a 12-15 minute ride to the depot and a 20 minute ride into Boston's North Station. There is also local bus transportation into Boston at the top of the street.

Ten minute walk to downtown for sightseeing Marblehead Harbor, touring the quaint colonial streets, shopping and dining. There is a medium size well appointed grocery store with a nice selection of wine.

Only a ten minute ride to our lovely beaches.

Dog Friendly: Must be at least two years old. Pet is not allowed on furniture.
