Un Soleil (One Sun) is our largest cottage of our four cottage compound named Les Petites Maisons (The Little Houses). Our four cottage compound will accommodate up to 10 guests – Un Soleil cottage sleeps 4 guests and our other three cottages sleep 2 guests each with one queen bed. Depending on your needs, you can rent one cottage or all 4 cottages, each couple having their own privacy. With the rental of all 4 cottages, our community garden can be used for a special event, such as, a private party for up to 50 people. We have special event packages available upon request.
We are located 8 blocks east of the historic Sonoma Plaza in a quiet, peaceful, upscale residential area, surrounded by some of Sonoma's oldest and finest wineries, such as Buena VIsta Winery, Ravenswood Winery, Sebastiani Winery, Bartholomew Park Winery and Gundlach Bundschu Winery -- All, just a few minutes away.
Our Un Soleil cottage is completely refurbished and cozy in design and exudes charm and comfort throughout. This cottage is beautifully decorated in warm and bright tones of sunny yellow, sunset orange, cheery red and olive green. It has wooden floors in the living room and kitchen, a queen-size bed in the main bedroom, two twin beds in an upstairs bedroom, bathroom with shower, TV (DirecTV complete package), VCR, DVD, plush cotton towels, robes, 100% cotton sheets, goose down pillows and comforter, Calphalon cookware, hand painted dinnerware, etc. Housekeeping varies based on the length of stay, and may be requested in advance of your stay for an extra fee. Check out cleaning fee is included at no additional cost. Extra towels and laundry facilities are available upon request. This cottage has its own semi-private garden area and shares a common garden area with a fountain and picnic tables with umbrellas with our other cottages. Perfect for enjoying the beautiful warm Sonoma days and evenings! Gas BBQs and bikes are available upon request at no additional charge.

Why the Owner Chose Sonoma
The front of the property has an old country store that was built in 1913. When we first drove by the property, we fell in love with the store and then noticed the wonderful country cottages in the back of the property. There was a "For Rent" sign on the store and when we called the owner, we asked if he would sell the property...and the rest is history!

We stayed in the smallest of the four cottages, and it was more than large enough for the two of us and our small dog. The cottage was comfortable, but still "classy." The setting is beautiful and quiet. There was a fenced area associated with the cottage for our dog, which we really appreciated. The store and deli on the street in front of the cottages is well stocked with basics as well as nice lunches, breads and cheese. We would definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Un Soleil cottage while visiting the many wineries around the Sonoma area. We loved being able to wake up in a home-like atmosphere, cooking out own breakfast, departing for the day, and then returning to a relaxing environment to sip on our new purchases. We brought our dog along with us as well, which made his stay very comfortable and relaxing. I would recommend anyone stay here. We are planning to come back very soon!

Awesome! And, what a great location! Les Petites Maisons is just east of the Sonoma Plaza, close to all the wineries and great restaurants. These little houses are absolutely charming with all the warm touches of home - so much better than staying in a hotel room. Plus, they have bikes and Weber gas BBQ's to use at no additional cost. My only regret was that we were not able to stay longer -- Highly recommended by a frequent Wine Country visitor who now knows where to stay in the Wine Country.

We had a wonderful stay in the Deux Jardins cottage. It was relaxing, cozy and spotlessly clean. First class furnishings, fixtures and linens. Enjoying our morning coffee in our own little courtyard, while looking out at the surrounding hills, was a daily treat. A comfortable, private base for all our wine country explorations. We loved coming "home" each evening.

As I sit looking out at the misty morning back home, I'm remembering the enchanting time Gwen and I had two weeks ago at Les Petites Maisons! Every touch in your cottage was remarked upon with delight. Hummingbirds at sunset in your lovingly tended gardens will have me longing to visit you as soon as we possibly can...your kind and thoughtful care was so much appreciated.

Your place had everything we needed. If I had my own cottage I would probably decorate the same way. It felt like I was at home. We stayed in for most of our meals which afforded us to go wine tasting and buy a few bottles of delicious wine. It was so quiet and comfortable. When people ask where we stayed in Sonoma you will be at the top of my list. Thank you for all the little goodies....You have made the experience very easy to work with and your attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Hope to visit again in the future.

We had a great stay and I only regret that we couldn't stay longer. I loved the deck with lounge chairs, table, umbrella and what a wonderful surprise to see we had our own chiminea which we did use. Also loved the yummy fig soap and lotion. Also enjoyed biking to Buena Vista Winery. I will use the rest of the fig lotion and shower gel and think of our trip until I am able to visit again.
