We really enjoyed staying at aQuatika. We stayed in unit 5401. It is centrally located to everything in the resort. The unit has everything you will need and more. The owner and his family were very quick to any questions or problems we had. We felt very welcomed. The resort itself is very safe and has many things to do. If you don’t feel like driving anywhere you don’t have to. We really liked visiting El Yunque, that is close by. We also had a daytrip with Spread Eagle II. The trip was very enjoyable and staff was very professional. We visited Arecibo observatory. It is a little too far but we are glad we went. If you also want to visit Rio Camuy Caves during your visit to the observatory, you absolutely must be there before 12 PM or the gate is closed. We visited El Morro and saw kites of all shapes and sizes flown by people young and old flying in the open area in front of El Morro. It was very impressive. We had 2 kids (6 and 11 years old), a senior person and 2 adults in our party, and one of the adults is handicapped. But we all enjoyed our vacation and are looking. forward to going back.

We required a three bedroom condo, based on parents travelling with three adult children. We found Aquatika in Loiza, a short drive outside of Old San Juan, which met, and exceeded, our expectations. Angel met us at the airport car rental location on a busy Saturday afternoon so we could follow him right to the condo. He even supplied a GPS loaded with all the common tourist requirements in the area, which we used daily. The condo was clean and absolutely stocked with everything we needed from kitchen utensils to beach blankets. All the sporting and beach toys were also made available to us. Everything worked fine, from the washer and drier to the kitchen gadgets and appliances. We enjoyed his wife and daughters paintings in the rooms - very unique! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, with clean pools and the Lazy River right outside of our rooms. The beach is very private - the two occasions we had to use it we had it to ourselves! He has flashlights and candles on hand, which we used one night when the entire area from San Juan to Loiza had a blackout. We utilized the barbecue and had a family meal by candlelight! Angel provided lots of tourist information and recommendations. He's put together a binder of local attractions and has a basket of pamphlets to read and help plan day to day activities. He was very easy to contact and provided answers to the few questions we did have. A very accommodating host who obviously enjoys people visiting his island. This is a fairly central location for the east end of the island. The El Yunque rain forest is very accessible from here, as was the Kiosks at Luquillo. The ferry station at Fajardo was an easy 20 minute drive away, which enabled us to visit the beautiful little island of Culebra with it's fantastic beaches. The freeway system is a few minutes away, which allowed us to visit the world's biggest observatory at Arecibo. We had a great time, in part due to Angel's assistance, and recommendations on how to visit El Yunque. One recommendation we gave to him for future visitors is to suggest Cafe Puerto Rico in Old San Juan as our favourite dining establishment. So thanks to Angel for helping make our visit to Puerto Rico one in which we hope to return to soon!

The owner of this property does an excellent job. The property is as described. The amount of pools at this complex is impressive. You may see other reviews for this complex remark ( Such as on trip advisor) on the surrounding area being dangerous, I would say that this is somewhat of an issue in any country where there is poverty, and we felt very safe at this property. It is well secured, there is a police station immediately next-door, and they have security staff which patrols which is reassuring. While I would not wander the local neighborhoods at night, there is no reason to, and the same would be said for Dominican, Jamaica, etc. The strength of this property is a very convenient location to some nearby excellent beaches as well as the Rain Forest national Park. In addition, the owner of the property goes truly above and beyond, from meeting us at the airport, providing excellent information and resources, personally taking us on a several hour hike at the rain Forest, providing a GPS unit for our car, etc. we have stayed at many VRBO rentals, and the owner of this property is far and away the most impressive We will likely return. Thank you Angel for being a great host!

We just returned from a wonderful vacation in Puerto Rico. We stayed at Angel and Rosa condominium #1902 at Aquatika. We are a family of four, with two college age sons. The accommodations are very confortable and exceptionally clean. Angel and Rosa have provided a condo that has every thing you need plus extra perks like beach towels, beach bags, and other gear for the beach/pool. There is a notebook full of information/maps to help you navigated the local area with restaurant suggestions, site seeing information, etc. We did not cook any dinners but the kitchen is well stocked along with a nice grill on the balcony. We did stop at Walmart and picked up breakfast and snack food. There really are no restaurants near where you can eat breakfast unless you are willing to eat fast food, which we are not. Angel met us at the car rental company, at midnight, the night we arrived to give us a GPS. What a lifesaver it was. He also gave us a bottle of homemade sangria that was fabulous. Wow, I don’t know where you would find someone to provide that extra service. What a nice guy! He even invited us to go hiking with him to El Yunque the next morning. The condo is about 30-45 minutes outside the city of San Juan. Take the beach route and you will enjoy a most beautiful drive along with some great restaurants on the coast. We did not spend much time at the condo as we were on the go visiting all the sites of Old San Juan and many other areas of the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico and at Aquatika. Would highly recommend Angel’s condo. He is a friendly and gracious host. Many thanks Lori and Mark Taylor

Hi Angel/Rosa, I just wanted to let you know that we had an excellent stay in your condo at Aquatika - thank you for renting us the property for our vacation. The condo was well furnished, we particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and sports/pool accessories. You took care of all the small details and it made the vacation a lot of fun for the whole family. We had kids of different ages and they enjoyed everything - toy golf set, sand toys; video games, tennis and most of all pools and the beach. The heated pool was very nice! I also want to add that the GPS unit that you lent to us proved very useful. I had not brought my own GPS relying more on my Android cellphone. However, it was only after landing in San Juan that I discovered that Google Navigation does not work in Puerto Rico. We would love to rent your condo again whenever we visit San Juan again and also recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you, -Sandeep

Our group rented both condos and had a great stay. The condos are both clean and furnished well as shown in the pictures. 5401 is in a great location for kids, right next to the playgound and kids splash pool. The property was very clean and well maintained with beautiful landscaping. Angel was very helpful, and was very flexible with our needs. He also left us a binder with information and maps which we used. The location in Loiza was perfect for our trip. We were close to the airport, El Yunque and the bio bay. Our kids swam in the pool almost the entire trip! Next time we will try to rent over the weekend so we can enjoy the slide. We bought all our food near the airport and cooked all our meals in the apartment. We would recommend this rental very highly. Thanks Angel!

We stayed here with our two kids (3 and half and 2 years old). The place was very clean, well maintained and had absolutely everything you would need on vacation. Angel and his family was very helpful and infact gave us great tips on dining, sightseeing and other activities which made our trip so much better. Pros: Quiet place, very relaxing, pools are excellent and beach is within walking distance with private access. Condo is very well maintained and has everything you will need. The three bed rooms are large and the bunk beds were specially enjoyed by the kids. Close to Old San Juan (30 to 35 min drive), Bio Luminescent Bay (25 min drive) and Rain Forest (15 mins). Restaurant next to the Condo was excellent (El Parillia). Grocery and other shopping was very close (10 mins). Cons; We had a tough time during the week finding good local places to eat. The El Parillia was closed other than weekend. The beach is beautiful though not long (has rocks on both sides which makes it locked), but none the less great place to spend time. Highly recommend Old San Juan, Bio Luminescent Bay (make sure it’s a moon less or cloudy night) and Rain Forest trails. El Parillia is a great place over the weekend. We mainly relaxed and had a good time at the pool and beach, so didn't venture out too much with the kids. We appreciate everything Angel and his family did to make our stay comfortable and will definitely consider coming back to the condo.

We liked being closer to Fajardo and El Yunque rainforest then we would of been had we stayed in San Juan. The condo was very comfortable and spacious. Angel was very helpful and informative. There is so much more we were not able to do while we were there and may be back. If we do come back we would stay here.

The condo is just as described and depicted in pictures. It is clean, comfortable (air conditioning in all bedrooms, and living area), and well furnished for fun activities, with kayak, sports equipment, beach towels, games, etc. The resort is beautiful, and immaculately groomed. It is also gated and self-contained, so we felt very comfortable letting our kids roam around and go to the beach section. They had a blast. The only downside was that the poolside cafe was closed during the week (seasonal hours in March?) There were some restaurants just outside the resort, but we did not get to them. The kioskos in Luquillo are not far away, and are worth visiting for some local food, like Mofongo, or simpler dishes. We also ate at the Brass Cactus in Luquillo, which has a menu that is more American--similar to Chilis. The owner, Angel, is a friendly and gracious host. He made our stay easier by meeting us at the car rental agency and escorting us to the property, which was a nice touch for a night arrival (though the property isn't that hard to find). Along the way he showed us stores and restaurants, and recommended other locations. Later in the week he took us on a free guided tour of the spectacular El Yunque Rainforest, which would cost around $70 per person, if purchased. Puerto Rico is a beautiful place. We had been to San Juan before on a cruise, but did not realize the true beauty of the island beaches and rain forest until this visit. We definitely intend to go back. We highly recommend the unbelievable bio-luminescent bay at Fajardo (approximately a 50 minute drive). Make reservations early because it books up fast. The kayaks were booked when we called, but we got on the Bio Island electric boat tour, which we thought was probably better because it can get around more of the bay.

Owner response: Thank you for your reply. We are really happy you had a great time in our apartment in Aquatika and in Puerto Rico.

This place was the best we could have asked for. They had every amenity possible, including lots of sports equipment, the beds and furniture were great. There was also a nice porch with a hammock. The location is about 25 min east of San Juan via a very scenic road. If you are looking for a party spot, this isn't it. But if you want relaxation and quiet then this is the place. It seemed like we had the complex all to ourselves.

My family and I spent a fantastic weekend at this property. The listing was very accurate, what you see is what you get with a few extras. Very clean, as if we never left our home and with all the necessary products etc. The grounds and amenities were excellent; well maintained, well lit, secure and again clean. The kids had a blast at the pools and parks. There were some fast food restaurants in addition to local bars and dining close by. If one prefers a more sofisticated dining experience it is not close but still not too far by auto. Stores also are close. Our stay was A++ and without a doubt memorable with lots of photos. This is perfect for couples, small or large families. No second thoughts about recommending.
